I briefly started a non-import FemShep named Lola Shepard in ME3 just to see if James still gives her the nickname Lola. The answer is yes, he still gives her the nickname Lola. So if you want at least one person in the trilogy to call Shepard by his or her first name, name him Loco or name her Lola.

 

Decided I will not continue my ME1 Vanguard (which is a remake of my original ME1 Adept).

 

Still deciding on my next trilogy playthroughs. I plan to have 3-4 new Shepards. Two will be male and one will be female. If I do a fourth it will be female to balance it out. At least two will be Engineers in ME2 (one with Slam as a bonus power, the other with Stasis), and one will be an Infiltrator in ME2. Still have not decided on what their ME1 classes will be. It is a lot of tech.

 

I had a Combat Engineer (ME3 multiplayer-style Human Engineer) in ME3 that still was not finished -- it is in NG+ -- so I loaded up the last save. Chronos Station is ready but a few other missions were not completed yet, so I ran through the main Citadel DLC missions.

Jack Shepard took some shore leave and visited Anderson's apartment. Anderson called and gifted the apartment to Shepard. What a nice guy. Joker left a message inviting Shepard for lunch.

 

The message was a ruse to lure Shepard into a trap. Big mistake. He survived the ambush and killed like a hundred guys with a pistol. Okay, maybe not a hundred guys. It was actually closer to 20-30 guys.

 

Liara tracked a pistol back to a casino owner. Shepard went to casino to meet the owner. His girlfriend Jack was not available, so he took his ex-girlfriend Ashley instead. Jack siphoned some credits out of the ATMs. Someone shot the owner before he could talk.

 

Someone was in the Citadel Archives, so Jack took his entire squad to investigate because... overkill? Turns out Jack has an evil eviler slightly less evil much less evil clone. That clone wanted to take over Shepard's life. The clone managed to trap Shepard in an archive vault. Maya Brooks turned out to be a traitor. Jack promised to mount their heads in the Normandy CIC; Brooks and the clone mistook it as a threat. Glyph helped Jack and his squadmates escape.

 

Jack Shepard boarded the Normandy before it took off. He killed the mercs still on the ship, then he killed the clone by kicking it out of the shuttle bay door. He was unable to recover the clone's head, but he was able to mount Brook's head in the CIC as promised. Some of the crew are disturbed by the sight, so Jack plans to move the head to his cabin instead. It looks better in his cabin anyway.

Right now the end credits of ME 2 are rolling with that epic music playing on my Television while I am typing this.  Today Sandra went into the core of the milky way galaxy to strike at the heart of her enemy and destroyed the collectors as well as their base.  Turns out that the collectors were using humans they had abducted to build a reaper using human genetic material in the construction, that isn't good.   Nobody was left behind as everybody survived, and then she was more than happy to tell the Illusive Man to stick it.  She is now done with cerberus.  After she takes some time to catch her breath she will head off to Illium to help an old friend settle a score she has with the Shadow Broker.

Just a few years ago I would have been able to slam in three big missions in one day but now it seems I can only get one in at a time, two if I am lucky.  I told myself I would do LotSB tonight after coming back from the gym.  But I came home from the gym, had a small bite to eat and then showered, got good and comfortable, and now I am just too tired to play anything.  Damn it.  Here is hoping I can finally get the two bridging dlcs knocked out tomorrow so I can finally import Sandra into ME 3.

Today I fought the collectors on Horizon and met Ashley Williams (Saved her on virmire even though my male shep is a soldier and didn't romance her.) I also healed shep's scars and bought a bunch of other upgrades. Then, I went to, illos and started looking for Thane. I also voted for ME2 in the gamefaqs best game ever poll of course.

Decided I would do a Jacob romance since I had never done that before. I was amazed that the romance dialogue with him starts even before Horizon. Every other romance option requires that you do their loyalty mission before beginning the romance path, but not Jacob. Bioware really pushed hard on the Shepard-Jacob-ship, didn't they?

Tried to do a Vanguard playthrough on ME3, but I just couldn't do it. Think I'm a little tapped out. I don't think I can summon the strength to do it all over again.

Though I'm promising myself I will go Vanguard for Andromeda.

Today, Jack Shepard began his day by inviting some people over to his new apartment. While James was visiting, James decided to use Shepard's punching bag. Jack had missed his last workout, so he decided to do some pull-ups. James then challenged Jack to beat his pull-up record. No problem, right?

 

Well, Jack got halfway to the record when he was forced to stop [in real life, I had to take an important phone call and you cannot pause this section]. But then he beat it on his second attempt.* He would have done another 183, but he had people to see.

 

Working out had made him hungry; good thing Traynor had invited him to lunch. Unfortunately Traynor blew off the appointment to go play a game. Jack was not happy about that. Luckily, Zaeed decided to go for lunch with him instead, but he made Shepard pay because he lost all his credits to the claw game. The money is going to come out of Traynor's next paycheck. Never stiff the Commander.

 

From there, it was just back and forth between the apartment and the Silver Sun Strip meeting squadmates. Most of the encounters were not very noteworthy, but a few did stand out:

• Jack and Ashley got into a drinking contest. They had to cut it short when a Vorcha and Batarian started a fight, if you could call the one-sided beatdown a fight. Ashley's liver was lucky the contest ended early.
• Jack had to bail out Grunt after he royally screwed up Operation Fire Cobra Claw. Jack was unimpressed with Grunt's 'skills' when they fought the Collectors (and his loyalty mission), but thought he would give him a second chance. So much for the second chance. Grunt, you suck!

Jack visited a Dr. Bryson. Bryson was then killed by his assistant. It looked like the assistant was indoctrinated but Jack is pretty sure it was because Bryson was a terrible boss. Or maybe a drug deal gone wrong. Who knows, who cares. Maybe Dr. Garneau will know more when they find him.

 

 

 

* Jack is only one of three of my Shepards who can actually beat the pull-up record, and was the first to do it. The others do not even bother to try.

Today Sandra helped an old friend get some payback and now we have a new shadow broker.

So Jack Shepard went to go see Garneau about the Reaper Killer called Leviathan. He turned out to be a dead end. (Because he turned up dead. Get it? He was dead, so he was a dead end? * crickets * Oh like you could do better. [Goes away to sulk.])

 

Luckily, EDI and Jack found a new lead in Ann Bryson who was working at a dig site somewhere in the galaxy. They found her, picked her up, and flew back to the Citadel. Ann had the brilliant idea of using a strange artifact to control her so they could locate the Leviathan. He wished he could have used Liara instead (because the personality change would have been an improvement), but he was fine with Ann being the guinea pig. 

 

Ann made a big mess on the floor, but they managed to pinpoint the Leviathan's location. James was not happy about Ann being a mess, but he'll get over it. James may be N7 material but his concern for Ann proves he will never be Spectre material: he just does not have the stomach to do whatever it takes to get the job done. 

 

Jack traveled to the Leviathan's planet, but the shuttle was shot down by Leviathan, and then a Reaper showed up and started dropping a bunch of ground troops. Jack took out his frustrations on the Reaper ground forces. Then he took a diving mech and dove under the surface where he met Leviathan and some of his friends. He managed to convince them to join the war. One of them then destroyed the Reaper that was hovering above the planet. 

 

Jack likes that the Leviathans are joining the war, but he has begun formulating a plan to destroy them all once the war is over. They are too dangerous to let live.

After playing with this Shepard of mine on Insanity, I realized that something was bothering me about this.  Then I realized after taking a good look at him...

 

 

He looks like Conrad Verner!!! Gah!  I will have to repeat again!  Where's Black Emporium when you need it? LOL!

Well, it has always struck me that femshep cannot talk to Jacob without a flirtatious intonation. Generally, when I play femshep I avoid talking to Jacob except for his loyalty mission and to get the Solaris armor.

I specifically plan a FemShep who's bossy and takes what she wants (a real b*tch ) so I can try out Jacob's romance. When I tried out Jacob's dialogues when I was still in a romance with Kaidan last time, I hated that flirty attitude, it didn't fit at all at that point. I didn't talk to Jacob in this run as well.

Exactly what I meant Boggles my mind they seriously put that dialogue at the party in there (the others are still somewhat okay-ish but still). I'm somewhat glad my Shep wasn't exactly a normal person, haha. I feel really bad for all the people who wanted to romance James with a "nice" character.

 

Oh yeah, I've seen that too. I read that Garrus can be weird as well (I'll try him out next run), but apparently it's not as bad. Dunno. I'll see. I just hope we never have to deal with such awkward flirting lines again in the future.

Well last night Sandra broke into a batarian prison, got captured by indoctrinated forces, slammed an asteroid into a relay, and a few months later while on earth as a "guest" of the alliance the reapers attacked her and she escaped on the Normandy and went to mars where she reunited with Liara and Kaidan got seriously injured.

Jack Shepard finished off the remaining N7 missions:

• Raided a Cerberus Lab on Sanctum and sent off some Reaper tech to the Alliance. Found some Medi-gel upgrades for Hanar, but they are useless to me now.
• Helped some civilians evacuate a Cerberus attack on Benning. Found some dog tags, but the dude's dad is long gone or dead or something.
• Attacked a Cerberus-controlled fighter base on Noveria. Found some heating unit stabilizers. I know a Salarian that could use them.
• Landed at a Communications Hub on Ontarom that was under attack by Cerberus. Saved a scientist and downloaded some data. Found some Ceberus Ciphers that C-Sec could use.

Only some Jack meet-ups left, then party, then Cerberus HQ, and then on to Earth to destroy the Reapers.

Jack Shepard met with Jack at Armax Arsenal Arena and fought in a quick match. Both Jacks like how it ended; the Arena staff did not like how it ended; the crowd reactions were mixed.

 

Jack Shepard then invited Jack over to his apartment. Jack gave him a tattoo.

 

Jack Shepard threw a party. Some of the guests threw up after drink too much. Then they drank some more.

 

Jack Shepard and the Alliance attacked Cerberus Headquarters. Jack killed Kai Leng (a Phantom lasted longer than he did of course), and recovered the Prothean VI.

 

Everyone went to Earth. Jack blew up a Hades Cannon. Jack blew up a Reaper Destroyer. Jack picked Destroy and blew up all the relays because PRETTY EXPLOSIONS! (Jack is a simple man.)

So, here I am, another restart on Insanity with this new Shepard.  I double checked and nope, doesn't look like Conrad this time!

Today Sandra started working on building the alliances she would need in order to take the fight back to the reapers.  First up was a trip to Palevan's moon to get the Turians on board.  There she reunited with an old friend.

Before we were off to get this Jack person, I visited the crash site of the Normandy. It was strange seeing the parts of scattered around. I collected the dog tags of the fallen crew and put up a monument. Goodbye, SR-1.

As Miranda, Jacob and I entered the prison ship a guard wanted us to hand over our weapons. Not a chance, buddy. The guy who calls the shots, Warden Kuril appeared and asked us once more to leave our weapons behind, but I didn't budge. I sure as hell won't go in there unprotected.

Theeere we go. We were allowed to carry our weapons and after talking to Kuril to get some more information on this place, we set out to find the Outprocessing area. We saw a guard beat a prisoner, and another prisoner next to that cell made me ask myself if we shouldn't get off this ship right now. Not only Kurin, but also this dude spoke of Jack as if we'd soon meet a monster. Well. I'm curious how that plays out...

But before we could actually meet Jack, it turned out Warden Kuril wanted to keep me, to sell me apparently. Nope, not gonna happen. We fought our way through and were able to release Jack out of cryo. Wow. It's a girl, tattoos all over the body, and... damn, her biotics are indeed monstrous (in the cut-scene ). Sh*t, man, she could probably tear apart our ship. I hope she can behave herself...

Releasing her let all prisoners from this block out as well, so not only did we have to be careful about the Blue Suns problem, but the prisoners as well. We pressed on until we finally fought Warden Kuril and his men. Kuril died and I was glad to see him going down.

We met Jack and I was as nice as possible, hoping to get her on my side. Just didn't work so well seeing I came in a Cerberus ship. Seems she has a big problem with Cerberus. I could convince her we're not the enemy here though. She demanded files on Cerberus and I gladly gave her access. Miranda was not pleased, but what was I supposed to do? That girl looks like a bit of trouble. I hope she can pull herself together. Illusive Man, what were you thinking? I mean, I get it, she's powerful and strong, but I bet... she's just as dangerous and deadly. Gonna keep an eye on her.
