After a few days away from my Xbox, I played some more Mass Effect last night.
Bruno Shepard finally arrived at Feros, only to have the Geth attack the colony. Bruno fought his way to the colony, then headed up to the tower to prevent more Geth from pouring in. Then Bruno headed down into the tunnels where he:
1. Killed some Geth and turned the water back on.
2. Killed some varren and recovered some fuel cells.
3. Killed some Krogan and destroyed a Geth transmitter.
4. Met a very strange man.
After checking back in with the colonists, Bruno Shepard then headed to the skyway to get to the Exogeni building. A Geth ship dropped some Geth off on the skyway in front of him before parking on the side of the Exogeni building. Bruno killed the Geth and ran into some more survivors, including a company man named Jeong who was a bit of a jerk.
Shepard finally made it all the way to the Exogeni building, where he met another survivor named Elizabeth. He then found out the reason for the Geth attack: the Geth were trying to kill a plant called a Thorian. Apparently the Thorian was also the cause of the colonists' strange behavior. After taking out the rest of the Geth, Shepard managed to dislodge the Geth ship from the building and causing it to crash, killing all Geth on board (supposedly; you never know).
On the way back, he stopped Jeong from causing a big fight and convinced him to keep the colony running. Shepard got some gas grenade mods that would neutralize the colonists without killing them. Back at the colony, Shepard was attacked by the colonists and some humanoid creatures that puked toxic fluid. He decided to call them Thorian Creepers. He killed the Thorian Creepers and incapacitated the colonists before heading down into some tunnels beneath the colony to deal with the Thorian.
The Thorian was big. It spit out a green Asari commando and told Shepard that Saren had made a deal and then tried to kill it. The Thorian said it would make no more deals and it tried to kill Shepard. The Thorian kept throwing Thorian Creepers and some green Asari commandos at him. but Shepard finally killed the Thorian by weakening its 'roots' and sending it falling down a big hole. Killing the Thorian managed to free an Asari from some cocoon-like thing. Apparently the green Asari commandos were clones of this Asari.
The Asari, Shiala, gave Shepard a cipher that would help him understand the visions he got from the Prothean Beacon on Eden Prime. Shepard told Shiala she should stay to help the colony rebuild.
* * *
Thorian Creepers have way too much health.
So three more uncharted worlds left, then Virmire > Ilos > Citadel. I should be able to complete Bruno Shepard's Mass Effect 1 adventure this weekend.
