Bruno Shepard started to investigate Freedom's Progress, only to get attacked by mechs for the second time in less than 24 hours. The humans were all gone though, but he did run into his old squadmate Tali. She was leading a Quarian squad looking for another Quarian named Veetor who was on the colony as part of his pilgrimage. The Quarians were less than pleased to see Cerberus. Apparently Cerberus had attacked the Quarians at some point in the near past.

Besides the basic mechs, Veetor had reprogrammed some drones and a YMIR mech. The YMIR mech killed or wounded all the Quarians except Tali. Shepard destroyed the mech, then went in to see Veetor. Veetor had managed to save some security footage that showed an alien race called the Collectors had abducted the colony. Shepard let Veetor go back with Tali and he took Veetor's Omni Tool data to Cerberus. The Illusive Man was thankful for the data, and he introduced Shepard to his new (old) pilot, Joker. Joker then showed Shepard the new ship Cerberus had built for them. It looked like the old Normandy. They called it the Normandy SR-2.

Shepard is about to take a tour of his new ship.

I was rusty. I kept hitting the wrong buttons and casting the wrong power. Died once. I am very rusty at this game. Miranda refused to use her powers without me bringing up the power wheel. I hate her (again) already.

I will probably tour Omega and the Citadel tonight.

Wandering in space gazing at jaw dropping nebulas dropping at amazing worlds acquiring some aliens on the way to save the galaxy the hardest part is choosing the best mate to pair with which makes everything make sense. Mass effect forever.

I just remembered that Bruno Shepard will be the first of four themed ME2 playthroughs where I purposely try to kill/spare certain squadmates: pro-tech, anti-tech, pro-biotic, and anti-biotic.

The problem I have is that 3 of the 4 Shepards (including Bruno) are Engineers which are tech-focused classes, and the 4th playthrough is an Infiltrator which is part tech.

Now the somewhat good news is that Bruno Shepard (Engineer) and the next Engineer are using biotic bonus powers, while the third Engineer and Infiltrator will be fully tech+combat. So that means the third Engineer can be pro-tech and the Infiltrator can be anti-biotic.

So now I have to figure out if Bruno Shepard will be pro-biotic or anti-tech. Bruno Shepard uses Stasis. The next Engineer, David Shepard, will be using Slam (Lift in ME1). Hmmmm.

I am thinking maybe Bruno Shepard (Stasis) will be anti-tech and David (Slam) will be pro-biotic.

This would have been a little easier if I had a couple of biotics thrown in the mix.

Bruno Shepard went into the quarantined district to locate Mordin. He killed a bunch of Blue Suns, Vorcha, and a couple of Krogan along the way. He finally made it to Mordin, who informed Shepard that he had a cure for the plague but could not get to the fans to spread the cure across the district. Shepard made him a bargain: Shepard would distribute the cure in exchange for Mordin's help in stopping the Collectors. Mordin agreed, just as the fans shut off. Shepard then fought his way through a bunch of Vorcha and some Krogan to get to the fans.

Once at the fans, the Vorcha scum said something about spreading the plague for the Collectors; in return the Collectors would make the Vorcha strong. No one except the Vorcha wants that, so Shepard killed the Vorcha, placed the cure in the fans, then restarted the fans. Mordin then went with Shepard aboard the Normandy.

Shepard then picked up the Hammerhead and traveled the galaxy looking for some Cerberus scientists and scanning planets. He finally found the scientists dead. Apparently one of them made a deal with the Collectors so that they would spare his family. The other scientists had found out about the deal and he killed everyone including himself because he was crazy. Shepard got a Biotic Damage upgrade and a cool Prothean Sphere as a souvenir out of the excursion at least.

Bruno Shepard is ready to recruit Archangel.

And this happened:

Ugh. I started the mission to recruit Archangel with Bruno Shepard, but I gave up halfway through. Just not my night. I am a bad player typically, but tonight I just kept dying repeatedly. I was not having any fun so I just gave up. I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

I am playing on Insanity, but I am trying to be somewhat aggressive and I was never really all that good to begin with. I just do not have the build or squadmates for it yet. Maybe in a few more missions.

Just... ugh. I am a terrible player.

I know that feeling. I was playing the expansion missions in Metro Last Light. I'd cleared one of them but was replaying to get an achievement and kept taking BS deaths from the damn Librarians, which didn't give me any trouble the first time through. I had to walk away for awhile. Then I stopped sneaking and just killed them.

That was hilarious. So, not only are there friendly fire casualties, there are apparently friendly melee casualties as well.

Well I didn't mean to but I think I am in a romance with Ash.  Was going to not romance anyone in ME 1 so I could romance Jack in ME 2 but I guess it is Ash for this trilogy run.  No I am not going to cheat on Ash and no I will not Virmire her.  My last two Shepards Virmired her and I don't want to Virmire her this time around.

1) It's not cheating since she walks away from you on Horizon.

2) Just turn Ashley down.

You can't "Turn her down." Even if you tell her to get lost when she comes to your cabin just before Ilos, when you get to Horizon she still talks about the night you spent together and ME3 will still have the romance flagged as having happened.. The only way to shut off an Ash romance is at the very beginning by telling her she is out of line (left option) when she questions having aliens on board.

Shepard drove the Mako off the cliff straight into the Lava because he just had to check his omni tool or something ... his story ended at this point and the Reapers won ... -___-

Remember kids, don't drive and check your omni-tool

What I did the past (I am such,......words to describe where I was. I did however, thought about buying KOTOR today)

My Shep, a male. Decided to romance Ashley. Just a test. Didn't get very far. Decided Male Shepard sucked. Stop playing ME1 and went back to DAI.

Talked with Wrex, Primarch Victus and Dalatrass. Then we went to Surkesh with Garrus and EDI. Major Kirrahe was there and Mordin.
Stopped Cerberus on Tuchanka.
Saved the 9th Platoon. Will help them later with the bomb.

True, turning down sex is just turning down sex. But can't you tell her no when she talks to you later and asks if you still want her even with all her baggage?

And none of the reply options they give Shepard let's you nix the romance.  Apparently you have to be a jerk to her early on if you want to avoid a romance.  Either that or Virmire her.  The only other way I can think of avoiding a romance with Ash is if you are in a Liara romance.

Yeah, I got the ambush romance on my last playthrough. True, you could do that and pick Liara when they fight. I've never tried that... I've been thinking of playing ME1 again but I was going to do Femshep.

Okay, so Bruno Shepard continued to help Archangel (Garrus) by first wiping out the Blood Pack, then the Blue Suns. Garrus got hit with a rocket but survived.

Bruno Shepard then went back to Omega, helped Patriarch survive a hit by killing his assailants first, then gave Aria a datapad that showed the merc gangs were bent on taking out Aria.

So whereas last night I played like complete garbage, today I only played like crap which was enough for me to actually beat the Recruit Archangel mission without dying. A couple of times, for whatever reason, I cast out Stasis thinking it was Incinerate for some reason. I can be really stupid at times.

I was going to play the next mission, but then realized I did not know what mission that was. I was going to recruit Kasumi and then complete her loyalty mission for the third tech upgrade, but then I remembered I wanted to spare/kill certain squadmates on the suicide mission. So now I need to plan out my suicide mission first to get the desired result, then recruit squadmates accordingly.

Before doing some things for my squad mates, I went to Illium. Apparently Liara is there and I would love to see her again. And I need to find out more about the next recruits for our mission, an assassin called Thane and another biotic, Samara.

When we got to Illium I met some more people I know. Small world. I first stumbled upon Gianna Parasini, who had yet another undercover case. I helped her again and we talked for a bit, catching up, then she gave me a kiss on the cheek. She's a great woman.

Next up was Conrad Verner! He was a bit creepy though, pretended to be me and all, with an N7 armor. I helped him take care of a "case" though and told him he did good. Luckily he left after that, I hope he stays out of trouble.

I was really happy to see Liara again, it's been a while. We hugged, and then she told me about her hunt for the Shadow Broker. She seems a bit obsessed with him, but I soon understood why that is. I did my best to help her for now. In the process we found out that her asari assistent is not who she claims to be, and Liara "removed" her (I can't believe this is the first time I finished that quest with Nyxeris, hahaha. I never knew it went on much further than the hacking in the beginning, after that I always already told Liara about the SB intel and she asked to meet her in her apartment I think... good thing I saw it in one of cap and gown's videos ^_^).

And then I also ran into Shiala who I met back on Feros when we helped take care of the Thorian. There was some trouble this time too and I helped Shiala and the colony by talking to a nearby asari. I also talked to another asari who was in love with a krogan, but unsure about their situation. They are now back together (enjoy it while it lasts :().

Since I had also asked Liara about Thane and Samara, I made my way to a contact who knew about Thane and how to get to where he is, Seryna. Seems Thane is after yet another acquaintance of mine, Nassana Dantius... that one should be interesting.

A few pics, totally proving Shepard's popularity :P

Spoiler

Oh well, I had done 2 tiny missions (non-combat ones, after the action on Horizon ;)), then it occurred to me there's this 5 missions limit once you have 8 squad mates that triggers the Collector ship, and that I already have the 8 squad mates! I hope I'm not wrong about this, because I then restarted completely from after Horizon and I'm now going for Thane first, then probably Samara, or maybe Jack's Loyalty (I'm still thinking about if my Shepard would do stuff like that, leave Illium to do Jack her favour, then return to proceed with recruting Samara :D So it might be the other way around in the end, but let's see). That would make 3 missions, then I thought about squeezing in either Tali, or Jacob's Loyalty, then off to Tuchanka to do both Grunt's and Mordin's Loyalty. I guess that's more or less the plan. I wonder if I even get this far in the next few days (Christmas is a horrible time, hehe :D).

Did the same thing last time realised I was half way into her and it felt like it was too late.

Planning to hit Therum in search of a crazy yet powerful Matriarchs daughter Shepard is still wondering if hes the messiah.

Reasoning that Sovereign must be some sort of Harbinger he had a truly grand epiphany...

If he killed Sovereign, he could rule over the Geth as their god. The visions from the beacon were finally beginning to make sense, it was a prophecy, he would kill this Sovereign......and ascend to godhood.

One way or another.....

Bryce Shepard made her debut in Me3. The suicide mission was a sucess, but wasn't perfect. She was sloppy and she lost part of the crew in the collector base. It was horrible to see. Mordin didn't make it too, and she sweared she would take the reapers down for them. After spending some months in house arrest, she met Vega, a promising solder that was basically her biggest fan. She tried to be strictly professional with him, she had enough problems with relationships, and she absolutely had no time to bring more to her life. The reapers were coming and she knew that. Her honor made her turn herself in for judgment because of the mass relay incident, but now, she wished she had stayed in the normandy, still focusing on ways to stop their arrival. When the judgement day finally arrived, she saw that something wasn't right. The alliance headquarters was in a uproar. And then she saw him. Kaidan Alenko. The encounter was a little awkward, after their little fallout on horizon she kinda fell for Garrus charm. Maybe it was the scars, maybe because she wanted to get back at Kaidan for the way he treated her, but it didn't matter. Only the reapers mattered. And they were coming.

You many know this already, but you can do 6 missions after Horizon if you do a mission on a hub world that ends on the hub world. So, for instance, you could do Miranda's loyalty mission as your fifth mission. This mission ends with you back in the Eternity Lounge and from there you could go do any of the Thane, Samara, or LotSB missions. Similarly, both Mordin's and Grunt's loyalty missions end with you still on Tuchanka so that you could do those missions as your fifth and sixth missions.

<Black Whirlwind video>

Thanks for this post. I played the crap out of Jade Empire back when it was only on consoles (before the PC Special Edition). I hardly ever log in to Origin so I would totally have missed out on downloading it for free on my PC.

And yes, Black Whirlwind does remind me of someone: Recycled BioWare character #2, The Aggressive Psychotic.

Recycled characters you see in every BioWare game by GamesRadar.
