Shep just can't lose being a paragon, it's immensley frustrating as too often she is full of idealistic bollocks that wouldn't work in the real world.
If anything this should have been the renegade option - threatening a squad mate to carry on with the mission.

While he kept a close eye on the young Quarian, to make sure she wasn't pinching anything, I hacked his terminal.
Nothing on Saren, but a strange transmission, seemed to be an open letter, inviting biotics to join a commune in the Century system.
Pallin made no secret of his dislike for humans, but he equally disliked Spectre's.
He thought nobody should be above the law, so I might have been wrong about him.
On to the meeting with the Council.
While Councilor Sparatus considered the evidence against Saren irrefutable, he didn't want a human in the Spectre's.
Old Ratass better hope his life is never in the balance, while I'm holding the reins. That's all I can say.
Fortunately Tevos seems to be the real power in the Council, and Rosanne Olinda Shepard became the 1st Human Spectre.
So Captain Anderson got shafted, and I got command of the SSV Normandy.
I was excited at having been given my own command and a chance to go after Saren.
But it seems, not all of the crew were inspired by my pep talk.
I had three solid leads, Geth sightings on Feros and Noveria, and the Matriarch's daughter somewhere in the Artemis Tau.
But before going headlong into battle, I decided to put the Normandy through it's paces & check out that biotic commune in the Hawking Eta cluster.
On route I went downstairs and had a long chat with the Quarian (note to self) next time, take a chair.
Wrex is a man of few words, so that is all I had with him. He seems preoccupied with the long term viability of the Krogan.
Time past quickly exchanging stories with Chief Williams, we laughed when we realized we shared the same instructor, in Gunnery Chief Ellison.
But our time was cut short by a call from Admiral Hackett.
The biotic commune we were headed for, is run by a former Alliance officer named Major Kyle.
And two Alliance officers had not returned from looking into the place.
Hackett suspects foul play.

Oh my god RedCaesar, your right. How could I have been so blind. I've let my feelings for Ashley cloud my judgment.Ashley: "Hey Shepard. You're not the only one with a really creepy smile."
Shepard: AAAAAAAAAAAAH!
When Captain Anderson was still in charge, I wanted to talk to her and she brushed me off, said she had things to do.
Now I'm a Spectre and Commander of the Normandy and she's all Fake smiles and laughing at all my jokes.
I've been in the military long enough to know how it works.
I'm well aware I wouldn't be where I am today, if my mother didn't "know" Anita Goyle.
I can't believe I was taken in by cheap perfume and a fake smile.

Putting personal feeling aside, we drop to Presrop in the Mako, the compound is to the south.
I've got Alenko & the Krogan with me.
We are all biotics, I figure if we can make them believe we are here to join up, we might get in without any bloodshed.
Well that didn't work, but I assure them we are just here to talk and they send us to meet with "Father" Kyle.
Kyle admits to killing the Alliance officers, I tell Joker that if we are not out in 5 minutes, level this place.
Then the Major agrees to turn himself in, to save his "children".
Nothing more to see here, I decide to head for the Artemis Tau and the Asari scientist.
Back aboard the Normandy I get a call from Admiral Hackett, he was surprised that Kyle came in peacefully, and thanked us for saving a lot of lives.
We enter the Macedon system, comm buoy logs show recent activity on Sharjila.
I take Wrex and the Quarian and we drop in the Mako. There is a campsite a little ways to the east.
The camp is deserted, but there is an Asari capsule, and some writings from Matriarch Dilinaga.
No sign of Dr T'Soni, but I think we're on the right track. There is something up to the north, we'll check it out.
We come under attack, this place is heavily fortified and they look more like pirates than scientists.
Nothing for it now, but to clean them out. It's a tough fight and an Asari biotic is the last to fall.
It's not T'Soni, but one Dahlia Dantius, a slaver. It seems she was the sister of an Asari diplomat on the Citadel.
Although it appears she was being blackmailed, I'm sure this Nassana will be distressed by the death of her sister.
Next up we scan the Sparta system, Someone has set off a distress signal on the planet Edolus.
I doubt it's the Doctor, but someone could be in trouble. Joker drops us just south of the signal.
There's an M29 grizzly ahead, it looks like Alliance marines set off the beacon. As we close in we're attacked by a thresher maw.
I'm glad we bought the Quarian along, she is repairing shields while we are still under fire.
With the beast dead we bag the bodies of the dead marines. Kaidan says they are from Admiral Kahoku's unit.
It appears the distress signal was placed here as a trap, but by who? Anyway the Admiral will want to know.
I'm starting to think Udina has sent us on a wild goose chase.
If there is no sign of the matriarchs daughter in the Knossos system, we'll head straight for Feros.

Bruno Shepard was a little busy over the past few days. Let's see if i can remember what happened...
1. While on Sur'Kesh to extract a Krogan female, Cerberus attacked for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Bruno Shepard fought his way through the Salarian STG base to protect the Krogan female from Cerberus.
Unfortunately, Shepard died when Cerberus dropped an Atlas mech from a high altitude and it crushed Shepard to death.
Shepard managed to save the Krogan female, and then returned to the Normandy. Perhaps some day he will find out why Cerberus attacked the base.
2. Cerberus was attacking a military installation on Tuchanka. (Is there any other kind of installation on Tuchanka?) Bruno Shepard swooped in, got the facility operational again, and used it to destroy a Cerberus cruiser.
3. Wrex wanted Bruno Shepard to go find some Krogan scouts that went missing during an investigation into reported Rachni activity. Shepard met the leader of the elite Krogan unit, who turned out to be Grunt. They split up to cover more ground. They found Rachni, modified by the Reapers; the Reapers were breeding them in caves below the surface. Shepard found the Rachni Queen; it was the same queen he saved on Noveria years ago. He decided to let it die this time. Grunt distracted the Rachni long enough for Shepard to escape before whooping all kinds of Rachni ass. (Rachni have asses, right?) They all left in the shuttle.
4. Grissom Academy was under attack by Cerberus. Cerberus was abducting students, apparently for induction into their military programs. Wonderful. He ran into Jack, who was now an instructor at the academy for the biotic students. While the students provided some (occasionally) valuable support, Shepard and his squad cut a swath to the shuttle bay so the students could escape. Shepard even commandeered an Atlas mech at one point because he was too lazy to try and beat them on foot.
5. Cerberus had been abducting civilians on Benning (probably for the same reason they were abducting the students on Grissom Academy), but were now openly killing the civilians. Cortez dropped Bruno Shepard off in the shuttle and he managed to kill the remaining Cerberus troops so the remaining civilians could escape.
6. And then it was off to Tuchanka to go cure the genophage. But they could not land at The Shroud, their intended destination, since a Reaper was guarding it and using it poison Tuchanka's atmosphere. So they needed to kill the Reaper, then use The Shroud to spread the genophage cure.
Shepard was unfortunately killed when a Turian fighter was shot by the Reaper and it crashed landed onto Shepard.
When they made it to The Shroud, Wrex and Eve told them the plan: they would some giant maw hammers to draw Kalros, the Mother of all Thresher Maws to the Reaper. Sounded simple enough.
Tragically, Shepard died when the Reaper Destroyer fried him with its giant laser.
when the Reaper Destroyer stepped on him.
when Kalros ate him
when Kalros and the Reaper Destroyer squished him during their fight.
Shepard managed to activate the Maw Hammers and Kalros wormed in and destroyed the Reaper Destroyer. Padok Wiks then fixed The Shroud and used it to spread the genophage cure. Wrex, Eve, and the rest of the Krogan race were happy.
7. Back on board the Normandy, it was another bad dream and some crew conversations. The Salarian Councilor also called requesting a meeting with Shepard to discuss some Udina and his recently-uncovered dirty dealings. So then it was back to the Citadel in time for...
8. ... another Cerberus attack! (No one saw that coming.) Shepard was more bored than angry at this point and just wanted Cerberus to give the galaxy a break. Bruno Shepard stopped Cerberus from killing Commander Bailey, fair payback for Bailey helping out with the Thane/Kolyat situation several months ago. Then he found the Salarian Councilor, who was then accosted by some dirtbag with a sword. Thane managed to stop the would-be assassin, but was wounded in the process when Mr. Stabby stuck him with the overly-long knife. (Shepard thinks the guy may be compensating for something.)
Shepard then raced to get to the rest of the council in a shuttle, but Stabbypants McGee dropped in like a ninja and stabbed the shuttle. The shuttle crashed, killing Shepard and his squad.
Shepard raced throughout the Citadel plaza, killing some Cerberus nincompoops along the way, before hitching a ride on an elevator and catching up to the council. They thought Shepard was working for Cerberus and there to kill them, but Shepard managed to convince them that Udina was a traitor. Udina pulled out a gun and Kaidan shot him to death.
9. Then it was doing a bunch of small missions and eavesdropping onto conversation on the Citadel, then back to the Normandy for some more crew chats, then galaxy hopping for goodies, then back to the Citadel to deliver some packages. Oh, and Bruno Shepard and Cortez are now a couple.

In light of his many achievements, and near death experiences, it's understandable if he forgot some of the details. ![]()
Scanning planets in the Knossos system shows Therum is scattered with ancient Prothean ruins.
This has to be the place. I take Wrex and Tali with me in the Mako.
Joker is getting some really strange readings, emanating north of our current position.
A little way up the path a Geth ship drops two huge... I don't know what the hell they are, but they are ripping through the M35's shields.
TALI: Armatures, they are Geth Armatures.
We don't need their life story Tali, just tell us how to destroy them.
Alright they are pretty susceptible to the M35's mass accelerator cannon.
Wrex is driving, I'm on the cannon and Tali, the machine gun. ALRIGHT! first one down. We can do this.
OK they're down. The Mako is a little the worse for wear. Last time I let Wrex drive, crazy bastard charged straight at them.
It got the blood pumping though.
Up around the corner we come under heavy turret fire, even Wrex thinks a speedy exit is the best plan.
We go to the right and only a single turret, no problem.
Then Geth start pouring out of the industrial complex up ahead. It's a massive firefight, but when the dust settles, we're still standing.
Tali looks like she's in trouble, those suits are easily ruptured.
Ha, she said she wasn't shot, she got hurt bouncing around in the Mako, Wrex's bloody driving.
We clean up a couple of straglers, picked up a few supplies, and open the way for the Mako.
One thing's for sure, there is something here that Saren wants.
Continuing on, we come across a couple more Geth Armatures, We've got them worked out now.
OK, more Geth, and they've got rocket launchers, and is it just me, or did that Armature just get a lot bigger.
TALI: It's a Colossus.
You can say that again, back this thing up Wrex.
We took out the Geth and continued on until we came to an impasse.
Wrex thinks he can smash the Mako through there, I said you've done enough smashing for one day, we're going on foot.
It looks like whatever the Geth are here for, is on the top of that hill.
A few more Geth in the way, I thought I knew electronics, but Tali had the Geth turning on each other. ha ha ha, she's alright.
This spectre issue sniper rifle just paid for itself. Oh crap, another Geth dropship.
I don't know how, but we managed to take down the Colossus on foot, and what the hell were those creepy, jumpy things?
I hope whatever is in there, is worth it.

Spoke too soon, a couple of Geth troopers and a sniper. Then three assault drones.
All's quiet again. We take the elevator to the lower level. Wrex is impressed that it is still working, Protheans built to last.
Spoke too soon, we have to jump down.
A timid female voice calls softly out to us.
Dr T'Soni I presume.
Well, that's not how I imagined an archaeologist would look.
If she ever gets tired of digging around in the dirt, I think I could get her a job at the Consort Chambers.
She is indeed Dr Liara T'Soni, and claims to not have seen her mother in years, or know what she is up to.
Now lets get her out of there.
A few more Geth, and then I show Tali how mining lasers work.
That was pretty easy. Now lets get the Asari out before more Geth show up.
No sooner had we freed the Dr, when we heard an ominous sound. I may had been too heavy handed with the mining laser.
We hit the elevator & I call Joker for an Ev-ac.
Just when we think things couldn't get any worse, a Krogan Battlemaster and three or four Geth show up.
I might have gone with the diplomatic approach, but we just didn't have time. CHARGE!
Wrex and I gang tackled the Krogan, I think his last words were "I like your style"
Then we helped Tali with the remaining Geth.
Joker saved the day.
(Last time I played ME1 with the Male to Female switch, Liara thought she was Hallucinating when I came to rescue her.
I didn't get that this time. Anyone know what triggers that?)

In Genesis 2 DLC, Garrus and Miranda always live. You only need a minimal two or one people to survive the collector base anyway. And NotLoyal!Garrus doesn't mean anything anyway but NotLoyal!Miranda have consequences.

Did you complete the main missions in the same order? Liara hallucinates if you rescue her after Feros, Noveria and Vimire.
From the wiki
If this mission is left until last (after even Virmire), Liara's reactions are very different. Down in the Prothean ruin, she refuses to believe Shepard and the team aren't a hallucination until they actually release her from the energy bubble, claiming that she's just conjuring up a protective figure like a Spectre to stop herself from going mad. She cringes in fear from the krogan battlemaster, begging Shepard not to let him take her.

I've read that you can ram & giggle the Mako through that gap in the rocks, so you could probably knock the 2nd Colossus into the lava.
But they clearly intended for you to meet that one on foot.
Having said that, even on casual that 2nd one usually kills me a couple of times if I do Therum first.

I was including the smaller ones, which I think are technically Armatures with only the big ones being Colossi. I was able to get the mako through the rocks once. You probably need it upgraded, but you can get "Lift" to work on the Armatures and I think even the Colossi.

Yes, a lot depends on the order you do the missions in. I didn't have Kaidan with me, but he only has 1 point in lift at this stage. You probably need it upgraded, but you can get "Lift" to work on the Armatures and I think even the Colossi.
So his only hope would be if the Colossis stopped fighting to laugh at him.
We just went with warp (me & Wrex) & overload & sabotage (me & Tali) Wrex with assault rifle /tungsten
Ashley might have been better than Wrex, but I'm not talking to her at the moment.
The 2nd colossus you just run to the left behind the scaffolding; wait for geth to come around the corner and kill them one by one - then you just pick off the colossus.
Easy.
Tactics are all well & good, but at low levels he only needs one hit to kill you.

Together with Jack and Miranda I returned to Illium to go look for Samara. From the volus merchant Pitne For we heard that his business partner had been murdered, and that Samara is investigating. We talked to an asari, Detective Anaya, and she gave us clearance to enter the back alley where the murder had been committed.
After taking care of some Eclipse mercs we found Samara, who just threatened one of the mercs and then killed her. Impressive how she did that. Almost as impressive as her outfit. Couldn't help but stare a bit at... not her eyes.
Anyway, we talked to her and Detective Anaya showed up. Her bosses wanted her to take Samara into custody, who agreed to cooperate for only one day. After that she would have to fight to get out, kill if necessary, and continue her search. She had been looking for a dangerous fugitive, and I agreed to look for a ship name she required to track this fugitive down while she stayed with Anaya. Hope we can get it done in time.
So we went into Eclipse territory and shot our way through. We met a new Eclipse recruit called Elnora along the way and I let her go. Was a mistake. We heard a recording in which she confessed she killed Pitne For's partner. Well f*ck. She looked so innocent and honest... chicks always get to me. Maybe it's not to late for Detective Anaya to track her down.
After some more fighting, we found the ship name in the end. Upon returning Samara swore herself to me and the mission, nice.
Back on the Normandy I checked in with Samara and Tali told me the Migrant Fleet accused her of treason. The problems never end, do they... I will do what I can for her, but for now we stay on Illium, there's still the issue with Miranda's sister. Miranda, Jack and I returned to Eternity, and I had a quick drink at the bar... I swear the asari barkeeper suddenly looked so young and hot... what the hell was in that drink?!
Anyway, we approached Miranda's contact Lanteia and got ready for the mission. Let's do this.
A few pictures:
Of course, the one time I decide I head out of cover because shooting from there was not ideal I got myself killed
Also the fight with Wasea at the end of the mission was not so great. My squad mates died twice on me because I suck at giving them positioning orders ![]()
Oh well. Wasea retreated to the upper part, but I luckily could finish the fight relatively fast.
I also couldn't resist and played around a bit with the look of my next FemShep, the Infiltrator. I played through Freedom's Progress with her and I think she turned out quite cute.
Other than playing I caught up with The Walking Dead Season 6, hence I barely played on the weekend ![]()

Bruno Shepard went to go check out an Asari Monastery. Not sure what he had for lunch, but he was not feeling all that well when he landed and thought that he might end up praying to the Great White Porcelain God. Turns out the Reapers had attacked, turning a bunch of Ardat-Yakshi into screaming Banshees. Bruno hates the screaming. Samara was there, looking for her daughters. They found one of the daughters, but the other had been captured by the Reaper forces. They finally made it to The Great Hall, where an Asari Commando team had planted a bomb. The other daughter was there, but she was beginning to turn into a Banshee. She stayed behind to set off the bomb while Shepard, Samara, and her surviving daughter escaped. Shepard managed to convince Samara to not kill herself.
Then Bruno was off to Eden Prime to steal a Prothean artifact back from Cerberus, only the artifact turned out to be an actual Prothean in a stasis pod. Cool. After figuring out how to get it open (and killing a bunch of Cerberus troops), they brought the guy on board the Normandy. He seems angry, but is willing to help fight the Reapers. Shepard is fine with that arrangement.
Next Bruno Shepard headed to a Cerberus Lab to go pick up some Reaper tech and send it back to Admiral Hackett. Things got really dicey when Cortez was forced to leave the landing zone to escape some Cerberus fighters; Shepard was really worried, but Steve Cortez is an ace pilot and he managed to make it back and extract Shepard.
Shepard then went back to Noveria, but this time to raid a Cerberus Fighter Base to liberate some fighters. The Cerberus resistance was minimal.

Well, she does pull a gun on you.
The confusion is probably because small Reapers are referred to as Destroyers. The Alliance ship was a dreadnaught, not a destroyer. So themikefest probably thought you were saying a Reaper had been destroyed. Had you misclassified it as anything else, there probably would be no confusion.
Sorry but I don't believe there was any confusion. I referenced the opening of the game, that I was with Anderson and he was pushing me, and that the Destroyer was taken down.
There is only one point in the game where Anderson has the opportunity to push Shepard, that is the very start of the game (the opening) and the blown up ship is called (incorrectly I admit) a destroyer.
Look at themikefest's other posts, There is no way there was confusion. It was a simple attempt to be pedantic.
I react badly to that sort of thing and for that I apologise to the members of this forum.

Saren put a lot of effort into trying to get T'Soni, but the Krogan said if you can't spare her, doesn't matter.
This would suggest that Saren didn't need her as much as that he didn't want us to have access to her.
Whatever the reason, I think we'll keep her close for now.
I sent her to Dr Chakwas for a check up, and put in a report to the Council.
Valern was happy that we got the job done, Tevos was happy we saved Dr T'Soni, and Ratass was his usual self.
I tell Joker to get us back to the Citadel, so I can report to Admiral Kahoku, and tell Nassana Dantius about her sister.
Then I go down and talk with engineer Adams, I didn't want Tali annoying him.
He thought I had done the right thing, bringing her aboard. I said it wasn't my choice, and he said, then Udina had done the right thing.
We dock on the Citadel and Rear Admiral Mikhailovich is there to greet us.
I recognized him straight away, as he was to have been my CO after the Normandy's initial shake down run.
I knew nothing I could say would please him, but I saw no point in antagonizing him.
If this whole Spectre thing goes belly up, I may be back under him one day. He made his inspection and mumbled off.
We head for the C-Sec Requisitions Office, I want to fit Dr T'Soni out with some better gear.
If she is going to be with us, we may as well put her to work.
We get out of the lift and are accosted by a news reporter. Not like the nice one I gave Fist's OSD to,
but the pushy type, that tries to make you say something controversial to boost her ratings. I try to be as diplomatic as I can.
With Liara fitted out in some fine looking, made on Earth, Ursa Armor and a Spectre issue HMWP VII Pistol, we made for the Presidium.
Walking through the wards access, a drunk comes up to me and says Hey your that Shepard kid.
I'm not sure which smelt worse, his whiskey breath or his BO.
He says his name's lieutenant Zabaleta and claims to know my Mother, and then hits me up for 20 creds. Yeah I know, I'm a soft touch.
On the Presidium, the young reporter, whose name I had forgotten called to me.
Her boss was happy with her crime syndicate exposé and she asked for my help again.
I said I'd do what I can and excused myself because I had spotted Admiral Kahoku and needed to talk to him.
I told the Admiral what I had learned about the fate of his men, and offered any assistance. He said he'd get back to me.
We come upon a Hanar spouting religious rubbish, He was annoying the hell out of a C-Sec Turian.
Reason enough for me to like him, so I left him to it.
I asked Saphyria the receptionist at the Embassy where I might find the Asari diplomat.
She said she had seen Miss Dantius go into the Embassy lounge a little earlier and I might still catch her there.
Nassana wasn't as heartbroken as one might expect to learn of the death of her sister.
In fact, I got the feeling I'd done her a favor when she added me to the Armali Council preferred client list.
Dr T'Soni though we should stay and have a drink.
I said the prices here are exorbitant, and I wasn't too fond of the present company. I suggested we try the Flux Nightclub.
Tali said she heard it was fabulous, but wasn't sure if they let Quarians in.
We enjoyed a drink at Flux and Tali liked the music. I overheard the waitress talking about her sister (Infiltrators never go off duty)
I asked if there was anything I could do. She was worried about her sister Jenna. She was working in Choras Den as a C-Sec informer.
I could see how that could be dangerous and told her I would do what I could.
Jenna came across all tough and didn't want our help, Tali thought it was an act, but if she didn't want out, what could we do?
On leaving, a Turian came up to us and whispered to meet him at C-Sec.
Oh we'll go and see him alright. Tell him exactly what we think of him using young Human girls like that.
Then again, who would buy a drink from a Turian shela. Have you seen those bit*hes, they make their males look good.

On our return Chellick was at his desk and greeted me with "Shepard, what were you thinking"
What was I thinking? What the hell were you thinking, the people in that club would kill Jenna in the bat of an eye.
So Chellick agreed to get Jenna out of there if I got the evidence on the arms dealer she was working on.
I didn't like him, but by the same token, I didn't want the local hoods having access to better weapons than I've got.
So I go and make the exchange with this Jax. On the way out I run into this guy again.
He'd heard I was made a Spectre and wanted a photo of me to show his wife, alright, whatever.
So I take the vid and the mods back to Chellick, he's pretty happy and lets me keep one of the mods.
Dr T'Soni is not used to wearing battle armor and is getting tired from all the walking.
Tali said she knows Dr Michel at the med clinic and we could get a regeneration mod fitted to the armor.
So we head to the clinic.
Tali says she's looking forward to seeing Dr Michel again, as she helped her when she first arrived on the Citadel.
She assures us she is really nice.
As we enter the clinic, it is obvious something is wrong.
Dr Michel confides in me that she is being blackmailed and tells me the whole story.
I tell her not to worry, I know this Morlan and I'll get it sorted.
We go and confront Morlan about the deal, he panics and a Krogan appears out of nowhere.
I calm the situation down and try to explain to the Krogan how closing down the med clinic is in no-ones interest,
and that he should do the right thing.
He said Banes doesn't pay me enough to listen the this left wing crap, and walked away.
I told Morlan he should change his armor and mop the floor. Then we returned to the Doctor.
She was relieved and gave us a discount on Liara's Medical Mod
She told us she had once worked with a Armistan Banes and thought he now worked for the Alliance.
Tali suggested we ask Captain Anderson if he could look into it.
Back on board the Normandy, I told Liara if her armor was still chaffing her, I could give her a massage.
She looked shocked, thought it must have been a human thing, and politely declined.
I said don't worry I was only kidding, and then she got even more embarrassed.
I went to the Comms room and put in a call to the SSV Kilimanjaro, I wanted to ask my mother what she knew about the drunk I'd run in to.
She said he was a good man, but was going through PTSD after what he witnessed on Mindoir, she wished he'd go to the VA office and get help.
Well that wasn't the funny story I was hoping for, poor bugger.
