If you do an ash romance in me1 as femshep it's fully voiced isn't it? As in they recorded the femshep voice for it.

I was down in the cargo bay and spotted Chief Williams cleaning her weapon.
I asked how she thought the last mission went.
She said she didn't buy Dr T'Soni's story about not talking to her mum.
I said she didn't strike me as the sort of person who would lie.
To which she replied, yeah I'm sure she is real bad at it.(I thought, you would know) But resisted saying it out loud.
I'm beginning to wonder what I ever saw in her.
I mean she keeps herself in good shape, but I had thought there was more to it than that.

I exchange a couple of words with Wrex. "Shepard" "Wrex".

I spent some one on one time with Kaidan, He keeps things bottle up, but he told me, There was this one girl, in brain camp.
I didn't want to push him on it, maybe later when we've worked together a bit more. I just wanted him to know, the lines are open.

So I decide to check out why Saren has sent Geth to Feros and prepare to go to the human colony of Zhu's Hope,
when the news vids indicate that a survey team in the Hades Gamma cluster has gone offline.
It's virtually on our way so we check it out.
Joker drops Wrex, Williams and I to the surface of Trebin in the Mako, just south of the research base.
When we get there, the place is deserted, a computer console indicates that they unearthed some sort of alien technology.
Williams suggests we take a look at the excavation site, a few hundred metres to the north.
Inside the place is crawling with husks, like the reprocessed humans on Eden Prime. We clear the area and head deeper into the mines.
We come across some of those tall spikes, that Williams has taken to calling Dragons Teeth. I guess we know what happened to the ExoGeni survey team.
Spoiler

Next stop Feros.

Yes.
There is a least one time when Meers voice comes across a cut scene, but it is not a romance scene.

Edit: I paid attention throughout the play through.
I briefly spoke with Meers voice 3 times. (not in romance scenes) Was referred to as he and him a couple of times. (by Liara & Benezia)
In one romance scene, Ashley said I was a man with a great as$.
And in the love scene, my arm had bulked up a bit.

In the love scene with Sha'ira, my body was a different colour than my neck.

Over all nothing too jarring.

Sorry but I don't believe there was any confusion. I referenced the opening of the game, that I was with Anderson and he was pushing me, and that the Destroyer was taken down.

There is only one point in the game where Anderson has the opportunity to push Shepard, that is the very start of the game (the opening) and the blown up ship is called (incorrectly I admit) a destroyer.

Look at themikefest's other posts, There is no way there was confusion. It was a simple attempt to be pedantic.

I react badly to that sort of thing and for that I apologise to the members of this forum.

See, now I am confused. I remember Ashley saying Dreadnought, not Destroyer and I just checked a clip and the subtitles say Dreadnought. I still think we're talking about the same thing but I'm not sure because you're so insistent that the game called it a Destroyer as opposed to you saying the wrong thing.

This is the magic of Mass effect. it's been years that I haven't touched this game, after I finished once M3, and talking a bit about mass effect nowadays on this forum made me want to play the whole trilogy again. Here I am. ( It's going to be very slow though, I haven't much time )

My new character is born. His name is Creg Shepard.

Spoiler

Creg, a serious, disciplined and no nonsense soldier, cynical, with a dark humor and fond of his duty. Born in a small colony called Mindoir which was destroyed by Batarian slavers. A hero of the skyllian raid, though he is less paragon than what the stories around him tell. However definitely deadly, filled with a cold fury everytime he must shoots and kills his enemies. He has no pity, no remorse, no feelings once the target is identified. A good guy, but ruthless in action, able to take harsh decisions if needed. There are few soldiers more fevered, more determined, more committed than him to serve as shield and sword for humanity, and if necessary destroy thousands of lives on his path, in order to meet this ultimate goal . Young teen having matured too fast for his age at 16 years due to some fatal harm that life can create; after the loss of his familly, girlfriend, friends, all killed or abducted by Batarian slavers, remaining alone with ashes in the end.

After Mindoir, he swore to protect innocents and his people fervently, whatever could be the cost. After the Skyllian raid, he did it again, his tired face full of blood and ashes, the assault rifle in his arms, following the battle, surrounded by ton of dead bodies. That's there he won his scar by the way.

Spoiler

My first act in the game after the character creator was... to read the codex. The thing is I have forgotten a few things in mass effect lol. It was marvelous to rediscover how rich is the lore. The game started, meeting the first character in the whole trilogy.

Priestly, this grumpy naval officer came to talk to my shepard. He isn't happy.

Spoiler

The captain Anderson hides something about their new mission, everything feels wrong and the presence of a Spectre, especially a turian really bothers him. Creg while he doesn't like what it's happening either, doesn't appreciate as much as him to be left in the dark, especially as second officer, asks him to cut it out though. Basically : << You know what you have to know. Just do your job and obey the orders Prestly. Wait and see. Now instead of complaining, give me more informations about the Normandy. >>

Priestly is a good guy, he immediately understood and didn't insist, which greatly satisfied my Shepard. Creg doesn't like repeating twice his orders.

It's the same when you have manshep and Kaidan, Hale's voice pops in and out and everyone still thinks your'e a girl. And in the sexy scene you get femsheps body rather than his. But you know suspension of disbelief.

Ran into a strange glitch today where Liara and Tali merged together. (I also accidentally allowed 2 colonists on Feros to live when they got too close I ended up punching them rather than shooting them.)

On route to Feros I received a desperate call from Admiral Kahoku.
Something about an Alliance Black-Ops group gone rogue. He wasn't making much sense. What's a Cerberus?
I had Joker divert to the Yangtze system to see what was going down on Binthu.
I take Williams and Liara T'Soni and drop in the Mako. There is a research facility to the north.
The research facility is equipped with heavy turrets, and fires on us as we approach.
We enter the facility, there is some sort of containment field in the center of the room, but before we can investigate
we come under fire from some well trained and equipped mercs.
I hadn't fought along side an Asari before, to see first hand the ease with which Dr T'Soni through those mercs around, was impressive.
Under fire, she is nothing like the awkward young scholar I had spoke with back on the Normandy. I have a whole new level of respect for her.
No indication of what sort of research went on here, but a console shows the location of two other facilities in the area.
Williams wants to tend to a wound on my leg, but I assure her it's nothing and we move on to the next base.

The 2nd base was much like the first and again we met with heavy resistance.
Once we were in control, we turned our attention to some creatures held in a containment field.
They were clearly stressed, but as soon as we deactivated the field, they turned hostile and we had no choice but to kill them.
This group is well funded, the equipment we found was of better quality than some of our own.
So far all the mercs have been Humans, but we found a crate with some brand new Quarian armor, maybe Tali can make use of it.
Spoiler

The 3rd facility is located just to the west of an ancient Prothean Pyramid, a good vantage point from which to observe the base.
Dr T'Soni climbs to the apex to recover a Prothean data disk, she claims these often contain valuable information, but she draws fire from the heavy turrets.
My leg is now officially killing me. Chief Williams slaps on some medigel and applies a firm tourniquet.
Her hands are surprisingly soft for a soldier. She smiles at me for just a second as she pats the bandage. We make our way back down to the Mako.
Spoiler

We take out the Turrets from the safety of the Mako and head on in. With my limited movement, I am quickly disabled by a biotic throw.
Ashley provides covering fire and Liara gets them off their feet. The battle is brief and Ashley helps me up.
The Admiral is lying in the center of a containment field, along with a large and very alien creature.
We take down the field and the alien but we're too late to rescue Rear Admiral Kahoku.
It appears he wasn't killed by the alien, but by a lethal injection to the arm.
Spoiler

Back on the Normandy, even with my Spectre status I'm stonewalled for any information about this Cererus organization.

I tell Joker to get us to the Citadel. Captain Anderson knows a lot of people. I think if I can speak with him in person, I might be able to get a handle on this Cerberus.
Coming out of my room I run into Lieutenant Alenko, his implants are giving him trouble, and it seems Kaidan has no more love for Turians than I do, but he didn't want to elaborate on it.
Spoiler

I called in on Dr T'Soni to see if she got anything useful from that Prothean data drive, which made her laugh.
Apparently getting anything from a Prothean device is not as easy as reading a book.
Spoiler

Dr Chakwas saw me favoring my leg and asked to have a look at it.
She said Gunnery Chief Williams had done an excellent job, then cleaned it up a bit more an re-dressed it.

I took the armour we found in the Cerberus base down to Tali. She was excited, said no-one had ever given her a gift before.
I said we didn't buy it. She said, I know... but Wow. She went on to tell me her father is an Admiral and so greater expectations were placed on her.
I said if she helps us stop Saren, that would surely be something.
Spoiler

Then I went to see Ashley, thank her for the leg and tell her what the doctor said.
As I approach I hear her sister talking about me. Ashley seems a bit embarrassed and says I didn't hear that. (but I hear everything)
She seemed to think there was something between me and Dr T'Soni. It bought back images of my time with Sha'ira, but no.
We talk for a bit about her sister and family, I can tell they are really close.
I'm an only child and I sometimes wish I had a little sister, you know, to tell her not to do the things that I've done.
Or whatever you do with sisters.
Spoiler

Wrex told me a disturbing story, how he had to kill his own father.
There's a little more to Wrex than I would have expected from a Krogan, They're not so different from us in some ways.

I had to put the Citadel trip on hold. I got a call from Admiral Hackett,
apparently a VI at an Alliance training ground has gone rogue and is killing everybody. So we're headed for the Sol system, and Earth's moon.
Joker drops us a safe distance from from the facilities heavy turrets.
There is a second set of turrets to the east, we need to take them out first, but the Luna surface is pretty rugged going.
Now there's a sight to warm the heart of any Earthling. I'm not one myself, but I still consider it my spiritual home.
Spoiler

We make it to the installation proper, with only superficial damage to the M35 Mako.
Tali is stretching her legs in her new armour, I said I bet you were pleased to finally throw that old stuff away.
She said, oh I couldn't throw it away, I might be able to use it to repair this suit if it gets damaged.
Inside the facility the only danger is the shear number of advanced assault drones. Once they are dealt with, the VI conduits are easily destroyed.
Spoiler

And with the Rogue VI shut down, we feel these sorts of missions are just honing our skills for tougher assignments ahead.
Spoiler

Tali seems to have taken a liking to the shotgun.
If she is going to continue to use one, we should get her a better weapon and some proper training.
We can get both at Pinnacle Station, it's no Vila Militar, but it should serve her well enough.
But first we have to deal with Cerberus. This excursion has cost us valuable time and I as much as I hate going in blind.
I fear we can't wait for possible Intel, and we should head straight to the Nepheron Cerberus base mentioned on the console on Binthu.
Joker dropped us on Nepheron and we took the high road south. Taking no chances we took out all external personal with the M35's cannon.
Inside all sorts of hell broke loose, I think I've been hanging around Wrex too long. The full frontal assault, not an option.
Spoiler

But in the end, big risk, big reward. Once we decrypt the data I got from their server.
We should be able to put an end to Cerberus for good.
If Admiral Kahoku is looking down on us, he's sure to be smiling tonight.

The training run through Pinnacle Station was a welcome diversion and well worth the effort.
The whole team learned a few new skills. We whipped Vidinos' Turian A$$ and won his shotgun for Tali.
Spoiler

Admiral Ahern was gracious in defeat and gave me his apartment on Intai'sei.
Spoiler

I found I had pirates for neighbours, so we cleared them out and recovered Wrex's family armour in the process.
Spoiler

And I got some Colossus X armour from the MSV Wallace , but I can't wear it because it makes my bum look big.

I've been shooting Nazis.

Mass Effect could really learn a thing or two from modern shooters, like cover slowly being shot away as you stay behind it.

Plus, dual wielding is always fun.

My shepard finally learned about his new mission happening in Eden Prime, with Anderson and the Turian Spectre. But everything goes wrong since the beginning. Eden Prime is under attack while they are still discussing the details, they receive a distress call.

Spoiler

Deafening noises from everywhere and nowhere assail their ears, once they landed on the ground of Eden Prime. Heavy fighting seem to settle from all sides. Gunshots, heavy gunfire, explosions. In the sky, above the towers reaching the clouds of the planet, there are lasers striking the atmosphere, here and elsewhere intense columns of black smoke heading toward the heavens. All of this reminds Shep the Skyllian Raid. But here and now, it's much worse. Eden Prime is not under attack, Eden Prime suffers a massive and devastating invasion from an unknown and powerful enemy. They are certainly not pirates from the Terminus systems. The scale of the treath is just way much higher than what are they are able to do in theory. And yet, in the surroundings of the area, where the team leaded by the N7 soldier happen to walk cautiously, everything seems strangely calm. Too calm...

<< - Damn it ! But what happened here ! >> Jenkins then screams, eyes wide opened. Whole sections of the ground are black, as if they had suffered the test of fire, the landscape is ravaged. Certainly the artillery from the sky, with a few ships, played a role.

<< - It smells smoke ... and death ... >> launches coldly Kaidan, he has a bad feeling about this. It seems that he is as much affected as Jenkins, but he keeps control and remains absolutely calm unlike the young man. This guy is a real professional, a good soldier. Creg Shepard while he doesn't really know him can feel it, and already likes him. Some pestilence begins to be smelt, far more disturbing than the stench of the marshes they crossed. .. Like a taste of burnt flesh...

Then, Creg, Kaidan and Jenkins discover a bewildering spectacle under their eyes, totally petrified.

Spoiler

Ton of corpses, piles, motionless and vulgarly abandoned there on the floor. The angles of the members of their bodies seem more than confusing ... Eyes open wide, people suddenly stop to breath. A shocking scene before the mortified gaze of the commando. The horror. They have never seen or known anything like this in their entire career of soldiers and yet they saw parade of dead bodies.

Spoiler

<< - For God Sake ! WHAT IS THIS SLAUGHTER ! >> Jenkins explodes this time in the discovery, his voice trembling. Nothing seems natural with the bodies. They are black, steaming and transformed. Creg Shepard is more and more worried as they go on. The N7 soldier feels close to falling into a trap, his suspicious eyes looking everywhere, watching every corner of the environment.

He is unfortunately right, they finally discover the enemy. Or rather the enemy surprised them in spite of their vigilance... Jenkins can not do anything, immediately hit by the crossfire of their opponents. He falls, shot down like a dirty dog !

Spoiler

Everything is rushed, everything becomes chaotic.

Spoiler

They fight, kill the deadly machines. BUT JENKINS IS DEAD !

Spoiler

The priority goes for the mission, Creg asks Kaidan to leave Jenkins behind, to forget him for a while and to focus. They can not do anything for him for now while they can still reach their goal and succeed their mission. Kaidan understands and is ready to follow him.

After that, they meet Ashley who defended herself very well alone against the Geth, a survivor who has impressed with her courage and her tenacity until Creg and Kaidan who have witnessed everything came to help her.

Spoiler

My shep is pleased to add a new member to his team, invites her to accompany them. She made a good impression while she was talking, she seemed determined and willing to fight to death. They need her, Kaidan agreed. Ashley gladly accepts.

Spoiler

They learned more about the enemy. They are Geth.

Spoiler

The rest of the pics show how Shep was tense and focused during this difficult mission.

Spoiler

Creg Shepard, so much taken for a paragon hero didn't hesitate to point his gun on a human  to make him talk about what he is obviouslyy hiding. It was obviously a lie to terrify him, but damn, it worked fast ! The stupid smuggler talked and gave all the important informations needed and weapons that could help them.

Bruno Shepard, procrastinating on meeting with the Quarians, decided to run around and complete some other open assignments.

First, he decided to go to Tuchanka to pick up the Primarch's son, Targuin Victus, much later than the Primarch wanted, but... priorities I guess. (Priority being get 10% shop discount as soon as possible.) Bruno managed to save some of the crash survivors from Harvesters, then rescued Tarquin Victus. Victus then told him about a big Cerberus bomb on Tuchanka. That does not sound good.

So off to disable the Cerberus bomb... only it is actually a Turian bomb because the Turians planted it after the Krogan rebellions. Great. Shepard and the Turians split up. Shepard wiped out the remaining Cerberus forces between him and the bomb. When he reached the bomb and Victus, Cerberus started dropping in more troops to try to prevent Victus from disarming the bomb. Cerberus was not match for Shepard, but due to a mechanical failure, Victus died, sacrificing himself to make sure the bomb did not detonate.

Then it was off to kill more Cerberus and rescue some scientists who had defected from Cerberus. Jacob was there, helping the scientists, but doing a poor job of not getting shot. Shepard went up to repair the communications network and repaired the Anti-Aircraft guns, while killing all the Cerberus troops that kept dropping in. Shepard then provided distractions on the ground while the scientists flew away in shuttles. Then they hightailed it back to the Normandy while the scientists went to go to work on the Crucible.

* * *

I have gotten some interesting dialogue between Shepard and a romanced Steve Cortez, but whenever I reload a save, some of the dialogue I got disappears and Steve says one of his normal phrases. Kind of weird that happens.

Logan Shepard has been progressing through ME2. He just left Horizon, because he is, and I quote, "sick of this colony." Now it's time to head to Illium and chat up his old girlfriend, Dr. T'Soni. Too bad Dr. T'Soni's butt seems glued to her chair overlooking the trading floor, otherwise she'd totally join her boyfriend on his quest to defeat the Collectors. It's not like she gave him to Cerberus and totally owes him or anything...

Well, if Liara won't join him, Logan knows where he can find another sexy asari to complete his collection of alien squadmates, and conveniently she is also on Illium. There's also this mysterious assassin. Apparently he's trying to kill Nassana Dantius. Logan has no problem with that. Nassana lied to him, and her sister was a slaver. She's not exactly person of the year material. Maybe he'll go give this Krios guy a hand...

We arrive on Feros and are met by a colonist who asks that we speak with Fai Dan, the colony leader.
We intend to do just that, when the Geth attack. Not that many, more a heart-starter than anything.
But the colonist wasn't equipped to deal with such an attack, and there was nothing we could do for him.
We are greeted warmly by Greta Renolds, I think she was just happy to see a Human come through and not the Geth.
Williams gives her an encouraging pat on the shoulder and Greta assures us even though she's not the best shot, she'll do what she can to hold that position.
Going on through Zhu's Hope, the colony is in bad shape.
Their water supply has been cut, their Main Generator is down, and they are starting to suffer from food shortages.
A terminal in one of the rooms shows their food shortages might have been exasperated by having sent several months worth of human rations to an uncharted world in the Amazon system.
We find there spokesperson at the rear of the camp, but before we can learn much from him, the Geth attack again.
Spoiler

We remove the immediate threat and return to Fai Dan to see if he knows why the Geth are here.
He couldn't tell us much, and neither could his security chief, she was understandably stressed, and in over her head.
When you sign on as a colony guard, you don't expect to be faced with a synthetic army, not heard from in centuries.
Fai Dan said the Geth have a transmitter deeper into the tunnels and if we could destroy that, it would disrupt there attacks.
Before venturing deeper into the tunnels however, I return to the Normandy and get Tali, her knowledge of the Geth could be crucial.

More Geth in the tunnels. I find the servo unit for the colony water system and reactivate it, but Tali thinks this is only part of a larger system.
We find and reactivate another valve, but again Tali points out that these green icons on the display are lit, so there must still be more valves.
I bought her along for the Geth, and she's turning out to be a maintenance expert.
We run into some varen, and the one particularly nasty one that Davin Reynolds mentioned.
There was the remains of a couple of old M29 Grizzlys, their main cannons removed, but one had it's power cells still intact.
Hopefully with these, May will be able to get the colonies main generator up and running.
I'm wishing I'd bought Wrex along, but Ashley offers to carry the power cells.
There were some Krogan mercenaries protecting the Geth transmitter, well for a short time at least.
Spoiler

We came across a colonist who looked like he was suffering from bad L2 biotic implants, or maybe be was just crazy.
Either way, we couldn't get anything useful out of him.
We find and activate another servo valve, and this time a good old fashioned shudder of the pipes, indicates the system is fully functional.
We return to Zhu's Hope and update Fai Dan. I ask about the man in the tunnels. He said, that would be Ian and he's very sick.
I thought: Yeah, you got that right.
Spoiler

Ashley gives the power cells to May O'Connell, and she assures us they will have full power again in no time.

With things stable at Zhu's Hope, we head for the Exo-Geni facility in the hope of finding out what the Geth are looking for.

We take the Mako along the skyway. A Geth ship drops a couple of Armatures in our path.
Moving on, a couple more Armatures and a few Geth troopers.
We get some human radio chatter and stop to investigate. Juliana Baynham seems level headed, but offers nothing
that would indicate what the Geth are after at the Exo-Geni Headquarters.
There's a bean counter with her, who's more worried we'll steal company secrets, than the fate of the colonists.
Spoiler

Back in the Mako we head for Exo-Geni HQ, and the skyway is crawling with Geth.
Our passage is blocked by a force field, Neither Tali nor I could bring it down, so we look for a way around.
We're shot at by a human, who then apologizes for her mistake. The Geth and the varen have made her trigger happy.
Turns out, she is Juliana Baynham's daughter Liz, she thinks the Geth might be here for an ancient plant she called a Thorian.
She was clearly frightened, but I also got the impression she was hiding something.
Spoiler

We were attacked by a Krogan who was trying to obtain information on this Thorian, from a company VI.
Spoiler

Liz Baynham's pass card, meant the VI was more forthcoming with information for us.
Exo-Geni had purposely subjected the colonists at Zhu's Hope to the effects of this plant, so they could study them.
More Geth and a few more dirty secrets on an Exo-Geni server.
Spoiler

And then a heavily encrypted console, said the Geth were massing forces in the Armstrong Nebula, for a major offensive.
Why was Exo-Geni keeping this information from the Alliance? Had they been working with Geth? If so, why had the Geth turned on them?
More questions than answers, we best just keep going.
Another console showed they had sent something dangerous, to a Cerberus base in the Matano system.
We managed to cut one of the claws that were securing the Geth Ship.
With the ship dislodged, the force field would be down, so we can return to Zhu's Hope.
Liz Baynham wanted to come with us, she thought she might be able to help undo some of the damage she had done.
It was only the fact that she might be right, that stopped me from shooting her there and then.
A few more Geth on the skyway and then we heard a distress call from Juliana Baynham and stopped to investigate.
Jeong, the Exo-Geni exec had Juliana restrained by security & was trying to contain the fallout.
I told him I knew about the Thorian. Juliana acted surprised, but then after I shot this Jeong,
she suddenly knew exactly how the colonists would act under the control of the Thorian, and how nerve gas would work on there weakened nervous system.
I'm trying to help these people and they've got me knee deep in bullshit.
On arriving at the Zhu's Hope garage, we were confronted by this creature.
Spoiler

It may have once been human, possibly even one of the effected colonists.
But it was beyond saving if it was. Williams took it down.
I said I don't trust the Baynhams as far as I wished I'd thrown them, so we won't be trying their nerve grenades.
But we won't kill any colonists unless we have to. There were more of the creatures inside the garage.
But the colonists basic weapons posed no real problem for our shields and we were able to subdue them with blow to the head.
We were able to neutralize all of the colonists except for Fai Dan, He took his own life before I could knock him unconscious.

So we head downstairs intent on a little pruning, when Oh my god, this thing is enormous.
It communicates with us through a leather clad Asari.
Spoiler

Well I say communicates, but she wasn't a big talker.
After we took care of the green babe, and a few of those creepy things, we had to look for a way to take down this monster.
Tali noticed some swollen nodes that looked like they might be vulnerable points.
Shooting them seemed to have the desired effect, but we'll need to find a lot more of them.
Another node and another green babe. She's persistent, I'll give her that. But she relies too heavily on her biotics.
Once I dampen those, she's got nothing. Well not nothing exactly, I wouldn't mind a bod like that.
Spoiler

A few more nodes and the whole thing came crashing down. But not before it left us this.
Spoiler

She said, I'm Shiala, I suppose I should thank you for saving me. My first thought was, just how thankful are you.
But being a consummate professional I went with, tell us how you ended up in there.
She explained how she was follower of Matriarch Benezia and had gone with her to join Saren.
But Saren traded her to the Thorian in return for something called the Cipher. The Cipher is the key to finding the Conduit.
I said well if Saren now has this Cipher, we have to get it back. She said the Cipher is knowledge, an understanding of the Prothean mind.
I said your pulling my leg. She sort of raised one eye and blinked a bit. I took that as a, no.
She said I can give you this Cipher just as I gave it to Saren.
Then she gave it to me as only an Asari can.
Spoiler

It left me drained, and none the wiser, but she said it would take time for my mind to digest the information.
Back upstairs, the colonist seemed to be in control of there own minds again.
The Baynhams were there, and thanked us for what we had done for the colony.
I wondered how thankful they will feel if the colonists ever find out they were in on the experiments.
Shiala felt in part responsible for what happened to the colonist and wanted to stay on and help them.
I said the best way you can help the colonist, is to join me on the Normandy, and help me stop Saren.
Your knowledge on Saren and the Protheans, your commando training, you could turn the tide for us.
But she wouldn't be swayed.
Spoiler

Williams said, are you alright skipper?
I said no, I'm bruised all over and I stink of dead creeper goo. Lets leave this place.

Did this last night already and also started to write it up, but I was just so frigging tired and never finished

Jack, Miranda and I arrived at the cargo area, and the leader of the Eclipse mercs who were sent to deal with my team welcomed us. After we refused to simply leave again, a fight broke out. We killed more mercs on our way and we talked about how Miranda's old friend Niket might play for the wrong team. Miranda still believed in his innocence, but she soon had to learn that her trust had been betrayed. Niket wanted to return Miranda's sister to her father. Miranda raised her weapon, but I stopped her. Maybe we can reason with this Niket guy, he doesn't seem so bad. He agreed to help, but Captain Enyala shot him, and then we had to fight her and her goons. We took them down and returned to the nicer parts of Illium.

Miranda watched her sister and her family from a distance and I could convince her to talk to Oriana. When she returned she looked truly happy and shed a few tears as well. Not what I expected of Miranda, but I like it.

Unfortunately the moment of joy didn't last long, because as soon as we had returned to the Normandy, Joker called me into Miranda's office, Jack and her had started fighting. These two hotheads...

When I entered, Jack was super furious and Miranda said some hurtful things. Jack must've started this whole thing though. Damn, I thought our talks did her some good, but I also know Cerberus is still a tough topic for her. I can understand that.

Nevertheless I broke off the fight between them and they saw that we needed to focus on the mission instead of scratching each others' eyes out. Another problem solved... for now.

Some pics:

Spoiler

The fight with Enyala was so weird this time. Well, the first time I died because stupidity ;)

But the second time it was lagging a lot, I shot a lot into the air because enemies somehow slipped under my shots, and Enyala was stuck at some point and didn't move anymore, quite funny.

Jack's Pull was nice during this mission, she dragged a lot of mercs over the edge.

And what I learned was I reeeally should take care of enemy drones first before they come to close

I love this merc's face, hahaha.

He just can't believe Cerberus got invisible guns before Eclipse did.

Side note: You'd have to be real careful where you left that thing.

Back on the Normandy, I call the team together to discuss what we discovered on Feros.
Liara thinks if she can meld our minds, her knowledge of the Protheans may enable her to understand the images.
We give it a whirl, but she can't tell us anything I didn't already know.
Spoiler

She said large pieces of the message are missing because the beacon on Eden Prime must have been damaged.
For Saren to understand it, he must have access to another beacon.
I said the beacon on Eden Prime wasn't damaged when Saren used it. It only broke while I was using it.
At any rate, we can't do anything about it for the moment.
Joker asked if I wanted him to contact the Council.
I said bugger the Council, they can wait. I need a shower and I'm going to bed.
Call Admiral Hackett and warn him about the Geth forces massing in the Armstrong Nebula.
Coming out of the shower, Williams asked me if I'd join her for a drink.
She said today is Armistice Day, my family always celebrate it.
Spoiler

I said, why not, we'll drink to the day the Council stepped in and saved the Turians' butts, just as we were getting the upper hand.
She said, Don't tell me you haven't read my service record.
I have, but there is surprisingly little in there.
She said, That is because my Grandfather was General Williams, you know, the surrender at Shanxi.
I said, well that explains a lot. The crap postings, and why your always trying to prove yourself.
We continue talking, and drinking...
I said so your Grandfather knew Eva Coré. Don't laugh, I've never told anyone thish.
But...but I only became an infulstrator because when I was a little girl, I wanted to be Eva Coré, resishtance fighter, and kick Turian a$$.
I'd haveta change my hair colour of course.
All these years later, I'm still tryin to do it. Lets drink to that. Ssharon and his...his Turian a$$.

I woke up the next morning with a terrible headache, I'm never doing that Asari mind melding crap again.
Joker informed me there was a call from the Council in the comms room.
They told me a Salarian STG team, looking into Saren's activities, was in trouble on Virmire.
I'm a Spectre, how come STG know of Sarens activities on Virmire when I don't. Sounds like the Council just want me to rescue their STG team.
I told Joker to head for Virmire. As we past through the Skyllian Verge we got a call from Admiral Hackett.
Spoiler

(My listening while I take a call face)
He wanted us to check into four Geth outposts in the Armstrong Nebula. Gargarin was closest, so we went there first.
I took Wrex and Williams with me and dropped to the planet Rayingri.
Williams said, How's your head this morning Commander? I said, what? Her and Wrex both laughed. ( I don't know what that was all about.)

According to Admiral Hackett, the Geth outpost should be just to the south east.
I hate having to fight before sun up.
Spoiler

Inside the base was full of husks, as we worked our way to the rear, Geth troopers came at us from behind.
Not that many, It looks like they were just getting this place set up. A lot of nice equipment. We took the best stuff and destroyed the rest.
On leaving, a Geth dropship lade a lot of Geth forces on us. It was a mad dash for the Mako, and on to the machine gun.
One base down. Wrex is enjoying this.
Next is Tereshkova and the planet Antibaar. Our scanners have picked up an anomaly just to the east of our drop point.
Before we get there, we are attacked by a thresher mau. Once we take it down, we look around at the bodies, some human, some Geth.
I guess thresher mau's don't care what they kill. Dr T'Soni spots a Prothean ruin and wants to check it out.
I said, if another mau shows up were leaving you here. She said it will only take a minute, if you can watch my rear, I'd appreciate it.
I thought yeah, I can do that. Williams said, with the size of it, we won't have any trouble. And with that the Asari wiggled her backside.
She returned all smiles, waving another Prothean data disk. I said if your quite finished, we have a Geth base to destroy.
She's lucky she is not in the Alliance, I'm sure there's a really bad punishment for sticking your tongue out at a Commanding Officer.
Now if Admiral Hacketts' Intel is good, the Geth outpost should be a just a little to the north.
Well between the Geth jamming signal & the heavy snow, we were literally going in blind.
But then you don't need to see it, to know when your being attacked by a Geth Colossus.
They are really well dug in here. Rockets and snipers, the whole kit and caboodle.
Then just as were getting the upper hand, a Dropship adds Geth Primes and other assorted evil doers to the mix.
Spoiler

That's Two down.
Next is Casbin, in the Hong system. It's hard going in the Mako, but we climb the mountains and attack the outpost from the south.
With the height advantage we can get a few cheap shots in and then back out of sight.
Again they pulled the dropship mambo, but we cleared the dance party like shooting fish in a barrel.
Who's next.
Spoiler

On to Vamshi and the planet Maji. Heavy turrets all around, and a Colossus at the base.
But we cleared the outpost without working up a sweat. Does anybody sweat on a planet that's -120 Celsius?
Something to ponder as we head for Grissom, and Notanbans' moon.
As soon as we drop, we come across an Asari capsule containing some of Matriarch Dilinaga's writings.
Hey, she's a Matriarch, so this stuff must be worth something, right.
The main base sports two Colossus and a few rocket troopers, Wrex is getting excited.
Note to self: Get someone to look at the handbrake on the Mako.
The inside of the main base was well defended, but Organics 1 : Synthetics 0.
And we recovered some interesting data on the Geth.
Spoiler

Admiral Hackett said he would keep some Alliance patrols in the area, to stop the Geth getting another foot hold.
Tali wanted a copy of the Intel we collected on the Geth as her pilgrimage contribution.

So Joker drops us on Virmire, and we have to take out some AA Guns before the Normandy can land.
Colossus, Armatures, Assault Drones, and assorted troopers, all fall to the M35 Mighty Mako.
Spoiler

We Disable the AA Guns. Joker lands, and we drive on the the Salarian camp.
Spoiler

At the STG camp we discover Saren has developed a cure for the genophage, and is breeding a Krogan army.
It's obvious we have to put an end to this, but not everyone sees it that way.
Spoiler

I have a word with Wrex, make him see that these Krogen would not be the Krogan's salvation, but their destruction.
As much as he hates it, He knows I'm right.
Spoiler

The Salarian has a cunning plan, but it relies on him having one of my team along to aid with communication protocols.
Both Alenko and Williams volunteer, but like Ashley said, I will need Alenko to arm the Nuke.
I'm surprised Ashley is so quick to work with aliens. I tell her, no heroics.
I'm worried she wants to die the hero and redeem her families name.
Captain Kirrahe gives his men an inspirational speech "Hold the Line" It must be a Salarian thing.
Spoiler

We get a quick comms check, Captain Kirrahe asks us to keep an eye out for any way to disrupt the Geth defenses.
Then Shadow team is on the way. I take out the key defenders with my sniper rifle and move on to take the comms tower.
Destroying the triangulation tower should take some heat of Ashley and the Salarians.
Moving on, we work our way around to a Satellite Uplink Tower. I'm able to destroy the dish with my sniper rifle.
Then move in to take out the defenders. That should slow the Geth down a little.
I'm heartened to hear Kirrahe still barking orders to Ash.
Continuing on around the path, I hear Ashley say the Geth Flyers have got them bunkered down.
A long shot with my HMWSR X and high explosive X rounds gets rid of the refueling station, and a couple of rocket drones in the bargain.
Now just a few Krogan between us and the back door to the facility.
Spoiler

Tali has accessed their security system and disabled the alarms
Spoiler

We work our way through the complex until we come to a comm tower with a Prothean beacon
Using the beacon once again fills my mind with images of war.
Spoiler

But also brings up a holograph of Sovereign. It's not just a ship, it's a Reaper.
It declares it's superiority, claims to be the "Vanguard of our destruction", breaks some windows, then leaves.
Spoiler

We need to get to the breeding area and set off the nuke. We fight our way around and disable the Heavy Turret.
Then take the elevator down. We clear the area of hostiles and put on a piro display with the fuel tanks.
With the gun down, Joker is able to land the Normandy, and Lieutenant Alenko brings out the nuke.
Just then Ashley radios that they are pinned down at the AA Gun and taking heavy fire.
She claims it's too hot for Joker to make a pickup.
Kaidan needs time to arm the nuke, so we go to the aid of Ashley and the Salarians.
As we near the AA Tower a Geth dropship drops Geth on Kaidan's position.
Spoiler

I have to make a Captains call.
Ashley's perfume, her laugh, the touch of her hand on my skin. There is no choice to make.
I tell Joker to get to the AA tower, and run to Ashley's aid. Then Saren Arterius shows up.
Spoiler

Then in the ensuing battle, the bastard gets away.
