3-Sure thing. After all, the star child is voiced by both Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer. it does sound kinda of appropriate.

But it's the worst thing in the series!

It stopped bothering me a long time ago.

After all, there´s nothing left to do about it. I did have some hope that the extended cut would fix it, but alas, the end sequence is still bad.

Nowadays, I´m much more troubled by the inventory in ME1, the way the reputation bar works, the lack of explosive rounds in ME2, the totally linear aspect of the main missions in ME3, the absence of certain ME2 characters as temporary squad-mates in 3...

From the journal of David Shepard:

I am finding it difficult to write with all the emotions swirling around inside my head. So much has happened in the past few hours.

We went to Virmire. The location of the infiltration team was protected by Anti-Aircraft guns so Joker dropped us off in the Mako a few klicks away. There were a lot of Geth between us and the camp, and we had to pass a few security gates.

When we finally made it to the camp, the Salarian captain, Kirrahe, greeted us. He was not pleased with our presence, and said we should stay put until the council sent the reinforcements they had requested. He was less than pleased to learn we were the reinforcements. Turns out they had found Saren's base of operations (good news!) but had lost a lot of his men investigating investigating it. They had discovered Saren was researching a cure for the genophage and was breeding a lot of Krogan (bad news!).

Kirrahe said he wanted to destroy the place. That did not sit well with Wrex who wanted the cure for his people. I don't blame Wrex for wanting a cure, but under the present circumstances that would lead only to trouble. I managed to calm Wrex down by convincing him that Saren was only using the Krogan as tools, implements of war.

Back with the captain, he detailed his plan: he would split up his men into teams and create a distraction out front while I took a team through the back. We would then shut off the remaining AA towers so the Normandy could land and plant a bomb, then arm it and hightail it out of there. It was jury-rigged bomb, so it had to be armed manually. Kirrahe needed one of my squad members to help, so I lent them Ashley.

Taking Kaidan and Liara, we made our way into the base, fighting our way through Krogan guards and Geth troops. We even managed to disrupt their communications and defenses to make things easier on the Salarians.

But once inside, we we found there was more to the base than a Krogan breeding facility. We ran into some of Kirrahe's missing men. They had been indoctrinated. Saren was studying indoctrination on Kirrahe's captured men. We managed to free one of his men was not indoctrinated; he was being used as a control group. The rest... it was too late for them.

We also ran into an Asari scientist who was studying the indoctrination process. She was visibly upset at the turn of events. She was regretting her work at the base, having seen the effects of indoctrination; apparently indoctrination had affected more than just the 'patients', as she had replaced another scientist who had become indoctinated. She said it was because of Saren's ship, Sovereign. It was emitting some kind of signal that affected minds. I told her to run before I destroyed the base. She ran.

Further inside the base, we found a working beacon. I used it and this time it did not explode. The vision was more clear but it still did not make any sense. As we prepared to leave, we noticed another terminal with some sort of VI. We approached it and it spoke to us. It introduced itself as Sovereign, Saren's ship. And then the bomb: Sovereign was not just a Reaper ship, it was an actual Reaper! More information: the Protheans were only the last cycle of extinction, and we would be next. The Reapers had built the Citadel and the Relays, not the Protheans! It was almost too much to handle. But as I told Sovereign: he is just a machine, and machines could be broken! Sovereign ended the conversation and took off.

We ran out and finally found the last AA gun and disabled it. We then found a nice spot where to plant the bomb and the Normandy arrived. After putting the bomb down, I called Ashley to tell them to move it to the bomb site, but she was pinned down. Kaidan offered to get the bomb ready while we went to help Ashley. We were halfway there, when a Geth dropship dropped off some Geth troops at the bomb site. Pinned down, Kaidan armed the nuke, making sure it would go off. With not enough time to rescue both Ashley and Kaidan,....

I chose Kaidan. I did not want to take a chance that the Geth would overwhelm him and disarm the bomb. I choked by my tears and said my goodbyes to Ash. She said she would not have it any other way. As I made my way back to the bomb site, I heard Ash over the comm, fighting, then... silence.

I am so sorry Ash. If there really is an afterlife, I hope you see this journal entry and forgive me. I am sorry for all the mean things I said.

I helped Kaidan kill the remaining Geth, but then Saren showed up. He explained he was working with Sovereign to show them that organics could be useful as tools. And if they are useful, at least some of them could be spared. I tried to tell him that he was indoctrinated, but he did not believe me, saying Sovereign had still given him control over his own mind.

We fought briefly before an explosion from somewhere knocked me down. Then Saren was on top of me, choking me. He might have killed me if the alarm on the bomb did not go off. Distracted by the alarm, I punched him hard enough to let me go. He then took off on his hoverboard before I could kill him.

The Normandy, having managed to pick up Kirahee and some of his men (sans Ashley), came in a picked us up, I watched from the Normandy cockpit window as the nuke detonated, destroying the facility.

At the debriefing, Liara read my mind again and picked up some more clues from the vision. She deduced that the Conduit was on Ilos, which was deep in the Terminus Systems. I told the council about the Sovereign and the Reapers. They were glad that the facility was destroyed, but did not believe me about the Reapers, saying that Saren was manipulating me. Sometimes I wonder if I even believe it myself.

Goodbye Ash.

From the journal of David Shepard:

Welp, this has been a crazy day so far. I was ecstatic when I heard that the council was creating a joint-species fleet to deal with Saren and the Geth, so I rushed back to the Citadel. But it turns out that the council was only using the fleet to protect the Citadel, not go after him to Ilos. When I protested, Udina locked down the Normandy so we could not leave.

Luckily, Anderson had a plan. Not a good plan mind you: he wanted to sneak in to Citadel Control to resind the lockdown. Since that was tantamount to suicide, I argued against the idea. He then proposed breaking into Udina's office to hack his computer and resind the lockdown order that way. I told him he should break into Udina's office since it was less risky.

And somehow Anderson pulled it off. Joker flew us out of there as soon as the lockdown was lifted. We are on our way to Ilos right now. Say your prayers Saren, we're coming for you.

Also, I have "Remember Terra Firma, because Terra Firma remembers you" stuck in my head.

Today my new Shepard began her journey to the Citadel for the first time and is now leaving a Spectre ready to take Saren down. I don't know about this Shepard. She's not in a good mood. She is snappy, tired and annoyed so often I feel sorry for Kaiden and Garrus. She seems to be channeling her anger from Jenkins and Nihlus' deaths at them instead of Saren. I think Lirara will spend a lot of time hiding in this playthrough too. Wrex seems to be enjoying it all and Tali is just shaking her head. Ash is sulking.

The Butcher of Torfan just seems to be pissed off all time. Kaidan's cute though, so she puts up with him, but sure didn't like bringing Chief Williams on board. At this point, she'll just have to respect Anderson's wishes to keep her. Right now she's following orders like a good soldier (kind of) and tracking down evidence against Saren. Who knows if the Council will believe her once she does find something? He's a slippery little bastard, and even though she's not a fan of Turians, that Garrus guy might have some insight. Couldn't hurt to talk to him, even if she wants to punch a fist through his stupid crab-shell face.

I decided to play ME2 on Insanity too. Just to get the Insanity Achievements.

So, I'm currently almost done with the game (I'm on Thane's Loyalty Mission. Just need to get Garrus', Tali's and soon Legion after I do the Reaper IFF mission)

I'm playing as a Soldier and haven't had too much problems with it. Just do Mineral Scan and upgrade your things as soon as you get them. The only hard part was the Collector Ship where you need to wait for EDI to activate the platform (damn Harbinger kept flanking me). The game itself is being more enjoyable by me(for example, since the Praetorian was following me around, I tried to run to the door while the Praetorian was recharging his barriers, but the Collectors ended up herding me, so EDI had to bypass the firewalls. I finished it off, and EDI managed to open the door on the far end of the room)

I *did* knew that that door would close, but never had this, let's say, enjoyment of this section since on Lower Difficulties, there was no need run away from the Praetorian.

Oh, I'm also using Energy Drain. This helps quite a bit, since most enemies you fight have shields.

And I will try to survive the five waves of Object Rho, but it isn't in my priority list since I've already got that achievement.

I did manage a full playthough of Inquisition, prior to the DLCs. I just get bored because there's just hardly any replayability for me. And there are a gazillion ways to play ME, so when I start a new game of Inquisition the contrast to ME just makes me want to play through it again.

Just a suggestion about replaying DAI. Try doing as little as possible to complete the game. That's what I did for playthrough. It took me about 10 hours 26 minutes on the ps3. I enjoyed the playthrough.  I didn't waste time talking to anyone, crafting new weapons and armor. I just rushed through the game. I haven't played the game since October. I will when I get a ps4 and the game of the year edition.

Yes ME has a lot of ways to do a playthrough. Lots of fun. At the moment, I'm thinking of starting another playthrough. I've gone about 3 months since playing any ME.

Oh yeah, and I'm currently playing a Paragon Shep, but he doesn't like getting shot in the back or people that talk too much.

For example, Kelham *did* ask for that punch.

Running away from a Praetorian? Looks like a sound strategy to me - if I weren't surrounded by the fleeting husks! B)

I have a question about that. Everytime I fight it, one of my squadmates are always "blocked" but they aren't dead. They just get stuck. I always fight it alone or with a half-dead squadmate, the other is saying they are coming and they are just stuck standing there and can't use anything. I've played ME2 3 times now and each game it still happens.

Sounds kinda glitchy. B)  Hasn't happened to and I've actually lost count of my playthroughs.  I always like a Cain to the Praetorians face. That helps. :)

Oh good idea! If this keeps happening and my Collector's Beam runs out, I'm screwed lol the Cain is a guaranteed win at least.

I just bought trilogy on Origin last Nov so I'm guessing many glitches were never fixed even after so many years. In my last playthrough Garrus was trapped in a wall during the Human Reaper fight. It was awful. I was actually glad it used its spine to break the platform so he could get free.

I tried to go that route this time. I got to Skyhold and even as far as Adamant, but I was just forcing myself to go through it. I do really like the lore bits they've added, like the Temple of Dirthamen and the companion interaction, but just thinking about grinding my way through the Emerald Graves, Emprise du Leon, and the Hissing Wastes was enough to turn me off continuing. Maybe I'l get back to her. In three months, when I've gone through six playthroughs of ME again.  B)

About two days ago I managed to survive the two waves on Insanity.

Here's a tip: When you spawn you'll have your back turned to Object Rho, go completely to the top right and behind a pillar surrounded by glass. Then take cover behind the glass, enemies can't flank you. All I did was sat back and sprayed the Arc Projector = easy.

Anyways, got started recently with ME3 on Insanity. I almost forgot how much I love the gameplay in this game.

Recruited Garrus and Javik and did the Grissom Academy sidequest.

The only thing that has managed to make me rage in this game is those Cerberus troopers who can toss those 100% accuracy frag grenades that do nearly more than 2000 points of damage, ridiculous.  :(

Everything else has been manageable, ME2 was much more difficult. But that game didn't have Tech Explosions.  ;)

Yeah, those things are absolutely ridiculous.

I encountered my first one on Mars where I managed to tank it with barely more than one bar of health left and I'm just like...great.

Just completed the Reaper IFF Mission and holy damn... Those husks kept spawning and spawning and hoarding.

Take down Armor and Use Concussive Shot was my strategy (Good I had the Concussive Blast variation- Just need to strip them off their armor and use it...) Oh, and keep moving too. Don't let these Husks Crowd you.

It was a tough fight, but I didn't die once, so I'm very proud of myself :)

For this mission, I had Kasumi and Mordin(So his Incinerate could help against the Scions)

From the journal of David Shepard:

Joker dropped us off on Ilos right on top of Saren's location in the Mako. I nearly killed him right then and there, but he managed to close a big security gate before I could hit him. Good thing the Mako has really great brakes.

We needed a way through the gate, so we went looking for the security console. We killed a lot of Geth on the way, but we finally found it. When I opened the gate using the console, I also triggered some sort of distress beacon. It was a warning about the Reapers, badly damaged after thousands of years.

Back at the Mako, we went through the tunnel where we soon noticed hundreds of pods in the walls, stasis pods filled with dead Protheans; a mass grave. We continued through the tunnel until we triggered some sort of trap: two force fields blocking us in. We exited the Mako and made our way down an elevator where we encountered a Prothean VI. It told us that the Citadel was actually a Mass Relay and that the Prothean scientists at this facility discovered a way to block the Keepers on the Citadel from responding to Reaper control and opening the Citadel relay to the Reapers. It also told us that the Prothean scientists had been studying Mass Relay technology on Ilos and had made a one-way relay -- the Conduit -- to the Citadel before the Reapers attacked. Saren was using the Conduit to bypass the Citadel defenses and get directly onto the Citadel to activate the Citadel and let the Reapers into the galaxy.

The Prothean VI, Vigil, then gave us a datapad that contained a program that would stop the Citadel from acting as a relay. We took and ran back to the Mako. We travelled through the tunnels until we got to the conduit. Saren had already used the conduit and it was closing. We managed to drive the Mako into it seconds before it closed. We crashed-landed on the Citadel. Now we know that Mass Relay monument is actually a working mass relay.

We took the elevator up, but halfway there, someone shut off the power. We used our mag boots to go outside and walk up the outside of the elevator to the council chambers. We had to kill a lot of Geth and a few Krogan along the way (Saren is either smart or paranoid or both), but we finally made it. Saren was there to greet us. He tried to convince me one last time to stand down. I refused. He told me that Sovereign implanted him to strengthen his resolve. I convinced him that Sovereign was controlling him. Saren then tried to fight Sovereign's control, and when that failed, he shot himself.

I used the console to upload Vigil's data file and opened a comm channel. Joker told me the Alliance fleet was ready, but that the Destiny Ascension was under attack. Wanting to save the council and the thousands of people on board, I told the Alliance to rescue the Destiny Ascension. I then opened the Citadel arms so the fleet could get a clear shot at Sovereign.

Then Sovereign activated Saren's implants, burning through the flesh and grew into something else. It then tried to kill me, Kaidan, and Liara so it could buy enough time to use the console and regain control the station. But since we all know Lift, we just kept it hovering uselessly in the air until we shot it to death and it disintegrated.

At about that same time, Sovereign shut down and was destroyed by the Alliance fleet, and parts of it came crashing through the room. I got knocked away and lost consciousness. I woke up some time later and scrambled out from under the wreckage, glad to see Kaidan and Liara alive and well and with Captain Anderson.

Udina and Anderson invited me to meet the council, where they thanked me for saving their lives (it was actually the Alliance fleet). They then said the Alliance was ready to join the council -- for real! -- and then asked who I would consider to be the primary candidate as the human councilor. I said Udina would make a good candidate. He has the political experience after all.

I'm tired, but now I have to figure out a way to stop the Reapers for good. I doubt they will just stay out in dark space, and who knows if they have other ships in the galaxy besides Sovereign, or perhaps they have other agents already.

Shepard, I would have put this in a message, but I figure it would mean more if I wrote in your journal instead. I want to thank you again for taking me on board the Normandy. I have learned so much during my time here on my pilgrimage. I want to sincerely thank you again for giving me that Geth data as my pilgrimage gift. It will be invaluable to my people as we decrypt it and study it over the next few years. This may be the first step in retaking back our homeworld from the Geth, and we could not have done it without you. I am so glad I got to learn from you and the other people on the Normandy. All of you were so very nice to me. May your name go down in our histories as a good friend and ally to the Quarian people.

-- Tali

P.S. Just in case you were still wondering how we got around your journal's security measures: we were using an Omni-Gel hack, similar to the hack you used a few times on your missions.
