Pistol whipped Gavin Archer. Pity there was no renegade option to crack an eyesocket.

I never let David stay with Dr.Archer... I tried doing a 100% Renegade jerk once, but I just couldn't. Overlord is a piece of art.

The few times I've played the dlc, I've  left David once. It was only done to see what's happens in ME3.  No different than if the dlc was never played.

Well there goes my usual sad feelings when I see Thane. I will forever think of that comment and burst out laughing.

Shepard just got her Spectre status reinstated by the Council and is seeking out her lover Kaiden, but Anderson refuses to tell her anything. After picking up some things on the Citadel she's off to recruit Jack.

Well you can get Dr. Archer to shoot himself if you've already destroyed the Geth when you go to rescue Jacob if David was left with Overlord.

He will shoot himself if Shepard doesn't tell him that David is safe after completing the Grissom mission

Ah, didn't know that one. I always told him about David. I didn't care for how judgy Shepard is with him even if I agreed with Overlord's goals back in ME2 so I cut him some slack on the runs where I did rescue David.

I'm still playing through ME1. I couldn't get through it as quickly as I'd hoped, for various reasons, but as clunky as it is and even though it's aged badly, I can't start a runthrough without ME1. It's also giving me a handle on playing a Renegade Shep without too many later game consequences.

I did kill the Rachni Queen and realized that no one agrees with you no matter what side you pick on that. I should finish up ME1 today though. And then on to ME2! I'm excited to see what my Shepard will look like with glowing red eyes and scars. Bad guys ought to see her coming a mile away.

As much as I like playing a renegade, I'm not a fan of the scars on Shepard's face. I spend the 50 000 whatever mineral  to get them healed

I might end up doing that, but as a huge fan of the Brutally Bitchy Shepard YouTube video, I just want to see them. Heh.

I thank http://www.masseffectsaves.com/ for providing me with a ME1 Save so I don't need to play through it again.

It's fun *when* you want to play it, but since I've decided to play ME2 only for the Difficulty-Related achievements, I grabbed a save from this site, and started right in ME2 without the need to do it all again

I did kill the Rachni Queen and realized that no one agrees with you no matter what side you pick on that.

Are you talking about the council or your squadmates?

Some squadmates will openly suggest killing the queen; I know if Wrex is with you, he will ask you to put them down, and then if you take the neutral or paragon option he will ask again that you kill the queen. I think Garrus when paired with another "nice" squadmate will tell you it is better to kill the queen. Pretty sure Ashley argues in favor of killing the queen at least half the time depending on the other squadmate.

After the mission, if you talk to Ashley she will either agree with your decision to kill the queen.

After Noveria, if you go back to the Citadel and talk to Udina and Anderson, Udina will agree with your decision to kill the queen.

The councilors will disagree with your decision because they always seem to question in your decisions because of course they do.

Isn't it only the Turian that strongly objects either way? I like the renegade response if you kill the queen. He'll ask is Shepard likes genocide. "Depends on the species...Turian."

What's that about Thane fighting the window?

Or is he fighting his inner demons....

Funny. I never went to see him in my one and only playthrough. I started a second, but couldn't get very far. The ending pissed me off too much. It makes it hard to invest all the hours of a full playthrough. Anyway, I just noticed his name on the memorial suddenly. I feel good about knowing he just died of his disease rather than jumping on a sword.

Finally finished my damn Insanity trilogy playthrough. Ugh, 6/10 wouldn't do it again.

Just glad I can enjoy the game the next time I play it and not curse off BioWare and rage my head off.

Time for my canon playthrough next, no idea when I'll do it.  :P

From the journal of David Shepard:

I got a message from Cerberus, asking me to go find some missing researchers. We went to their last known location. We found the Hammerhead --  a vehicle they were using -- but no sign of the researchers. Logs indicated they were being tracked by the Geth.

The Hammerhead is really fast, but a little unstable. I found it very difficult trying to keep it steady while we tried to pick up artifacts with it. We discovered three possible locations where the researchers might have gone. i chose one at random and hit pay dirt: a research facility inside a Prothean ruin.

Unfortunately that ruin was inside an active volcano. Apparently the Protheans had used the volcano's geothermal energy to power the facility. The researchers used it as well, but years of neglect had caused it to become unstable. Unfortunately, we needed to power up the facility to find out the researchers' next location, which then caused the volcano to finally begin to erupt and the facility to fall apart. We managed to get out of there just in time.

The researchers had found another Prothean ruin and had gone there. We got there, but someone had erected a giant kinetic barrier of the ruin and turrets were everywhere. We managed to disable the barrier and go inside the ruin. Inside we found lots of dead mercs (protection for the researchers) and the researchers were also dead. Turns out one of them was relaying messages to the Collectors; in exchange the Collectors would spare the colony where the researcher's family lived. The other researcher had discovered the deception and killed everyone, including himself. He did not seem like the most stable of individuals.

But it appears the Geth may have been working with the Collectors. Another Reaper connection perhaps?

We found one of those giant Prothean spheres, like the one i encountered years ago when chasing Saren. I touched it, then it rose up, blasted out some type of energy, then fell to the ground, much smaller in size and mostly inert. Normandy's sensors indicated the energy was some type of signal, but no clue as to the message.

Admiral Hackett also managed to get a message to me, giving me the Normandy SR-1's crash location. He wanted me to place a memorial there for the fallen crew, and to find remains of the crew that did not make it. I managed to find the dog tags of all 20 dead crew members, and i placed the memorial near the cockpit where I was standing before being blown out into space.

Also, it seems that the last time I went to Omega, someone had managed to sneak in a subscription for Fornimax while I was there. Not sure who it was, but I have my suspicions (i think their name rhymes with either Chelly Kambers or Meff Joreau).

- DrCole helped me get in the shuttle

- the catalyst is the citadel

- hello Earth

- went on a suicide mission

thing: Your time is up. You must choose.

me: I got plenty of time. I will use my time to ask some questions. You say preserve organic life in reaper form, but yet the reapers are put in harm's way. What happens to that preserved species when that reaper is destroyed?

thing: .........

me: You say sythetics will destroy all organics. The geth never did that when they fought the quarians 300 years ago. They kill alot of them, but not all. The quarians escape with the geth not pursuing them. During this war, the quarians were defeating the geth until the reapers, or should I say you, took control of the geth. Why did you interfere?

thing: .......

me: Hmmm. I'm seeing a pattern here. You say that you control the reapers. Does that mean you remember talking to me on Virmire? How about before the asteroid hit the relay? Or on Rannoch?

thing: .......

me: You said that with synthesis, synthetics will understand organics. How is that possible if organics don't understand organics?

thing: .......

me: Ok. Lets try this. I will defeat you without using the crucible.

thing: Impossible. You're vastly outnumbered. You have sacrificed most of your resources to get here.

me: One last thing. It seems you suffer from the same disease as organics. It happened when I asked a few individuals questions that they didn't have an answer for. They suffered from cat-got-your-tongue syndrome.

thing:.....

me: Yep. Just like that. Ok. Apparently your operating system is faulty. I will upgrade the system with Windows Shepard. What that means is I shoot the tube. I'm going to enjoy this. Say goodbye to your toys.

Currently putting my playthrough on hold. Getting a new computer and will be backing up all my saves because I will scream if I lose my perfect playthrough I recently completed.

Also I am actually starting to lean towards the Refuse ending. I see its appeal and it just seems appropriate based on the replay value of the triolgy lol

From the journal of David Shepard:

I went to Omega to recruit this Archangel guy. I bumped into Zaeed first, the mercenary Cerberus hired for me. He said he got paid a lot so is willing to come along, provided I deal with an outstanding mission of his first. I agreed and he boarded the Normandy.

I decided to ask Aria about this Archangel guy. She said he showed up not too long ago and started making trouble by attacking the various mercenary gangs operating on Omega. This pissed off the merc gangs enough that they decided to work together to take him down. He was a hard man to take down apparently and the gangs were starting to hire freelancers to help take care of the problem. Sensing an opportunity, I joined up, taking Miranda and Jacob along for the ride, but I managed to stop some young man from joining up as well; the kid was cocky and sure of himself, but I did not want to take the chance I would end up killing him, so I made sure to break his gun on the way out. Hopefully he will thank me later.

I soon found out about the plan: they would send us freelancers in waves to distract Archangel while their infiltration team hit him from behind. Seems they managed to sneak an infiltration team into his base while they distracted him with a lot of men. I also learned Archangel used to have a whole team, but they managed to kill them all and now Archangel was all by himself, but still heavily fortified and well armed. I managed to speak with most of the merc leaders; they were what you would expect to see on Omega: scum that profited off other peoples pain and misery.

They gave the signal, and I ran in with the other freelancers, right up until the point where I saw some of the infiltration team fiddling with a bomb. A few well-timed overloads dealt with the bomb, freelancers, and infiltration team pretty quickly. I then took out the remaining infiltrators who were trying to bust through the door to Archangel.

And that's when I found out Archangel was Garrus! He explained he was not able to help on the citadel, so he left for Omega, noticed the strong preying on the weak, then decided to try and correct that. Just like Garrus: always wanting to help the helpless, even those his methods tended towards the extreme. Still, this was Omega so I cannot really blame him. So we teamed up to take down the mercs and get him out of there.

He stayed up and sniped while I went down below to take out the Eclipse mercs. Like the freelancers, they were funnelled right into our kill zone. They never stood a chance.

Next up was the Blood Pack. They had managed to sneak in through the basement. I left Jacob with Garrus, then took Miranda to go deal with the Blood Pack. It was a rough fight, but we managed to close some shutters to prevent the Blood Pack from getting to Garrus' base, then hurried back to help Garrus who was not overrun by the Blood Pack. We got there just in time. We took out the remaining mercs, then helped Garrus kill the Blood Pack leader.

We were about to make a break for freedom, but then the Blue Suns attacked. They had managed to get a gunship working and started dropping in men all over the base. We managed to take them out, but then Garrus took a rocket to the face. I destroyed the gunship with my grenade launcher, stabilized Garrus, then hauled him to Normandy.

Dr. Chakwas managed to patch him up and he reported for duty. Some other good news: Omega believes Archangel is dead.

Kasumi has been begging me to help her with a heist. I better go take care of that next.
