Wild mercs appear out of the blue taking people hostage! Who the hell are THESE guys?!? Definitely not relaxing! Fatima is unarmed...sends Joker to get the rest of the squad...used him as bait...she'll buy him something nice later. Mercs grabbed Maya...biotic charge, nova...rinse and repeat. Adrenaline overload! no relaxation! Saved Maya...she pushed Fatima out of the way of a shot...they kept shooting...broke the damn floor...with fish in it. Ended up on some roof...tore through more nameless mercs...Liara and Garrus called first. Got pinned in a car parking lot. Wrex fell out of the damn ceiling! Saved Fatima though...caught shuttle...back to fly crib.
Not. relaxing.

Idan Shepard finally made it to ME3, I had to tweak his hair and mouth a bit, but the rest imported very nicely!
James Vega just came in to inform me that the defense committee wants to see me. Ah, right. I was in detention, for 6 months already now. Because I blew up a batarian system in order to slow down the Reapers. That all happened when I tried to help Hackett's friend Kenson. She's dead. She was indoctrinated and I had no choice but to shoot her. I'm sorry all this happened, but it bought us a few more months at least.
So here we are, and together with James I was on my way. He was my guard for the last few months. Good kid.
We met Anderson on our way and surprisingly I soon bumped into Ash too. She looks good (Shepard's thoughts only
Personally I think she was way more pretty in ME1 and 2 with that lovely bun and natural face). She's LC now, not bad. We couldn't really talk, but I hope we can catch up later. For me and Anderson it was time to meet the committee, and we got confirmation that the day I dreaded so long is here. The Reapers are coming. We weren't even long in there when the first Reaper landed right in front of our noses. After half the building came down, Anderson and I tried to get to the Normandy, fighting the first of these Reaper f*ckers along the way. This is bad. Not to mention there was a kid in a duct, but I couldn't help him. He just vanished...
We waited for the Normandy to pick us up. She soon arrived, but Anderson wanted to stay. I wanted, too, but he ordered me to go to the Citadel instead to get help from the Council. Couldn't hurt to try. Anderson reinstated me and when we took off I saw that kid again. He boarded a shuttle which was shot down by a Reaper seconds later... what a day.
And then we ended up going to Mars instead to the Citadel because Hackett called and told us that Liara was there, and something about a weapon. A weapon to defeat the Reapers? Huh. Guess that could come in handy if it's true.

Got around to finishing off the 'phage arc last night.
Dagg went down like a champ, great alternate character.
Slept through the Turian rescue mission, I don't get the logic behind blaming Victus the younger for what happened, though I do like the 'What the hell is wrong with you? Inspire them! threaten them!' He didn't do anything wrong beyond being a whiny brat when you meet him.
Sabotaged the cure and Mordin is on his way to the crucible. I don't care for how Eve and Shepard talk when you've been renegade with her on Sur'kesh. 'Your own ambitions..' and so on. Sorry Eve, you ARE a bargaining chip. It's nothing personal but in case you didn't notice the galaxy is ending I don't have the time or inclination to hold your hand. It's not my ambition we're serving here, it's SAVING THE BLOODY GALAXY. Well she's dead and Wreav is fooled.
Ash survived despite Udina's doctored footage. However she elected to serve under Hackett and I agreed it was for the best. We simply don't trust eachother.
Next up: Omega

Right - I'm back, you fuckers!
- First time I decided to be the Patriarchs bodyguards, which was interesting. I like how there are different ways of resolving that
- Meeting Nef's mum is a really good part, it is one of the few times you get an emotional involvement with an NPC. It brings home what Morinth does and underscores the loss she has suffered - i.e. gives you a reason to care about stopping her
- I did some paragonroute in the bar and it only took two things - buying drinks and paying off the thugs - to get her attention. I vastly prefer the renegade approach of being an arse, it is much more fitting for Morinth to be attracted to that rather than the paragon actions
- The dialogue you have with her is interesting enough, but it feels a bit shallow. I also would have preferred it if there was a more visible sign of Morinth using her power, maybe a slight biotic glow or her eyes going dark
- the conversation on the sofa is good albeit very, very brief - and Samara's entrance and fight would be fantastic if..
- .. THEIR BLOODY COSTUMES WERE REVERSED! Seriously, you have warrior monk with her ****** out, and the sex predator buttoned up like a nun. Who the hell thought that was a good idea? If you didn't know which one was which, you'd be shooting Samara on sight. really, really poor design - Samara is ridiculous as it is, but this mission just makes it stand out even more
- I like the way Samara handles killing her daughter, but she does seem to get over it rather quickly. I think even a slight tear (swiftly removed) would have had a great emotional impact
- The way biotics are shown in this is how I imagine they should be in the game.. ho hum
- Which ties into Shep being able to stop Morinth just by grabbing her arm? how the hell does that work?

More Jackie Shepard in Mass Effect 3.
Sooo... it turns out that I did not have enough credits to change my bonus power (about 3500 credits short). So I went hunting for Dr. Garneau, investigated a mining facility, killed a bunch of uglies, and found Dr. Garneau's body. That gave me enough credits.
So now Jackie Shepard is a Marksman Sniper Infiltrator.
I am now just about ready to test the Viper versus Black Widow on a Sniper Infiltrator on Sur'Kesh, but I need some opinions:
QUESTION 1:
What armor should I wear? I was thinking N7 (+health) so I would not skew the damage too much, but then I figured since I am testing at level 60 -- when enemies are at their strongest -- wouldn't Shepard at level 60 have all or most of the armor pieces at that point as well? Maybe I should switch to Hadne-Kedar (+weapon damage)?
QUESTION 2:
What mods should I equip?
I was originally thinking of equipping the same mods to keep it even. I was going to use the armor piercing mod + the Sniper Heavy Barrel (+damage and armor piercing). But the Black Widow does not gain as much from all that armor piercing as the Viper does, since the Black Widow has native penetration.
So should I use different mods for each weapon, or use the same mods?
Not sure if I should have opened a new topic for these questions (in the ME3 Combat and Strategy forums). You can leave your answers in this topic which I read regularly, or you can PM me with the answers if you do not want to clutter this topic with such trivial information.

did the gameplay portion of Citadel dlc. It was the first time I played on insanity as an engineer. The fight with the clone was too easy. The fight lasted about 3 minutes with Shepard losing shields only once. I had Ashley and James with me.
Now to deal with the quarians

William was still a bit annoyed with some of the Quarians, even though he was able to talk them out of committing species suicide. Maybe punching ADM. Gerrel after he ordered the Quarian fleet to shoot at the Geth dreadnought made him realize that William was serious when he said to stop shooting at the Geth after the Reaper was destroyed. At least Gerrel did come to his senses and both species made it out alive. Except for Legion, of course.
It was probably good that he had saved ADM. Koris after his ship crashed. Koris's support had helped put pressure on Gerrel. And going into the Geth collective to stop their fighters was weird but helped more of the Quarian ships survive the battle. The worst part of the battle to remove the Reaper influence, before discovering that there was an actual Reaper there, was facing three Geth Primes at once. William was very thankful to have Tali there to sabotage one of them as often as possible. And the Geth Spitfire assault rifle he had found lying around were also very useful. William was a bit sore from running around avoiding the Primes and from dodging the Reaper's death ray before finally getting a combined hit from all of the Quarian fleet plus the Normandy.
Apparently the Asari Councilor wants to meet the next time William is on the Citadel but he has a few things he wants to get done beforehand. So he's off to find Dr. Garneau who can, hopefully, help him figure out what this Leviathan thing actually is.

Did a couple of quick runs with a Marksman Sniper Infiltrator on Sur'Kesh. Once with the Viper V and once with the Black Widow V. I was level 60 so enemies were at there strongest. I used the Armor Piercing V and Sniper Heavy Barrel V on both guns. I had +40% weapon damage from armor.
Some observations:
- Viper V cannot kill with a body shot with the cloak damage bonus.
- Black Widow killed the Atlas mech a lot faster than I thought it would have.
- Black Widow really needs the Spare Thermal Clips mod, because it can run out of clips in a hurry if you miss a bunch of shots.
The Black Widow performed about as well as I thought. But it lost a lot of time overall when I was running around looking for clips. I had to do this 2-3 times. The Spare Thermal Clips mod would have helped.
Viper with headshots performs just about as well as the Black Widow as expected, but I could not reliably hit headshots. It did not perform as well on the Cerberus Turrets as I had thought it would; I thought I could kill them in two shots, but it took me 3-4 shots. I only ran out of clips once.
I'll run through it again later and record the results.

Finished the main combat parts of the Citadel DLC. Took Wrex as Maleshep's date to the casino for lols. Took Wrex and Tali along with AdeptShep for all combat levels, and much awesomeness ensued. Got Tali's "head-butting uncle" line. Did I mention that I really missed having Wrex around as a squadmate?
"You get me dressed up like this, and someone else got to do the shooting? Wrex not happy!"
"Krogan first! See you at the party, princesses!"
"Uncle Urdnot has a present for you!"
"Are you saying I've gained weight?"

Should have the videos ready tomorrow
@RedCaesar97 - Viper + Marksman is awesome! You get it very early on and it deals quite a good deal of damage. I don't like Spectre weapons, they are too expensive and don't offer that much.

Yeah, that has always been my contention, especially if you paid for the weapon DLC packs, so you have access to some equally good (or better weapons) right from the start.
Also, I plan to watch your Prothean Soldier playthrough at some point. I am way behind on some video watching. I keep thinking "when I am done catching up on my own stuff, then I will have time" but I never seem to catch up. I'll see if I can make a point of it this week.

Just finished recording some Marksman Sniper Infiltrator gameplay. I played around with the Viper twice, and the Black Widow twice. The Black Widow works a lot better with the Spare Thermal Clips mod so you do not have to go hunting for clips. For the most part, this will probably not be an issue most of the game, but I can totally see it making a big difference in some missions, especially if you only carry the Black Widow around.
I'll have to study my video footage, but overall it appears the Black Widow edges out the Viper, but not by much and only if you have the spare thermal clip mod so you don't waste a lot of time looking for extra clips.
Also, in my opinion, Marksman is the only way to use a sniper rifle on the Infiltrator that can fire more than only bullet per clip (basically any non-Mantis/Widow/Javelin/Kishock sniper rifle).
I still think I prefer shotgun infiltrators -- okay, okay, Claymore Infiltrators -- but I can see the appeal of the Black Widow on the Infiltrator.

Finished Tarrik's journey. Yet another voice of the Protheans has spoken and silenced the Reapers once and for all!
First, he assisted the quarians with their war against the machines
- Destroying the Geth Dreadnought
- Saving an Admiral
- Assaulting the Reaper base and freeing Rannoch from machine occupation
After a brief stop to show humans what Protheans are capable of - saving Riley and her squad on Cyone - Tarrik headed to Thessia and taught the asari the history of her people.
Kai Leng's dirty tactics of using gunships have only enraged Tarrik and he took out his anger on Cerberus forces attacking an Alliance communications hub before chasing the slim lead at Sanctuary. He managed to catch the trail of Leng which brought him to Cerberus Headquarters where the assassin got what he deserved.
After one final step, the Reapers were destroyed and Tarrik's lust for vengeance was fulfilled. It was time to build a new Empire...

- talked with Ashley on the presidium
- the asari told me about an artifact her species has on her homeworld that might help
- Wrex wanted to shoot me. Why? I found his family armor for the guy while chasing Saren. If it wants to play it that way, fine. Right back at ya. He would make for a good stunt double for the way he flew out the window
- I wonder how many asari know the protheans are their goddess?
- I didn't know assassin's cry like little babies? All he did was cry about needing to recharge.
- I'm proud of Traynor. She has a possible location where the crybaby went to. Once the war is over, I will have her promoted. How does Admiral Traynor sound? Naa. I'll just take her to Vancouver for a few drinks
- Cerberus killed all those people to study indoctrination. Not cool.
- Its Oriana, Miranda's sister. I wonder why Miranda never told me about her having a sister.
- I shot the dirtbag named Henry Lawson
- Traynor is sad about what happened on Horizon. It was her home. Time for revenge
