Lisa will be giving another report tomorrow once she is done with Noveria
Woke up in a Cerberus facility, then menaged to escape it with Miranda and Jacob. Agreed to go on a mission for the illusive man, dressed as a collector, but having no idea about what a Collector might be, and becoming even more surprised when I found out that they were behind the attack. Was also surprised by seeing Joker again and because of the news that I was going to obtain a new ship. Yeah, I was wondering what the SR2 on my informal cloth of choice was supposed to represent.
Next, I ´ll do a full inspection on the ship, meet the crew and then head to Omega in order to recruit a certain Salarian doctor. Unless something more urgent like a potential recruit being in danger of dying in a combined ambush by different criminal factions end up taking precedence.
EDI finally told me she was feeling good enough to travel again. it's about time. I thought she was supposed to be fast at fixing these computer problems. Hackett wants me to meet with a Dr. Bryson, but Grunt's bored and threatening to crack some heads. Since it's my head he'll be cracking, I figure we better go kill something quick. Aria wants my help kicking Cerberus off Omega but I've had enough of Cerberus for awhile so I decided we'd go to the ardat-yakshi monastery on Lesuss next.
When James and Kaidan heard that they started behaving like little boys. I tried explaining what ardat-yakshi were all about but they didn't care. I had to bring them or they would have pouted all the way back to Earth. Joker plotted a course and we pulled away from the docking bay. We were scheduled to scan a bunch of planets for war assets so I knew we'd have a little time to kill before we got there.
I played a game a chess with Traynor. I let her win.
Then Allers interviewed me about the coup attempt. I think I was inspiring enough. Inspired her enough anyway. To Grunt's great disappointment, I reminded her to keep things professional. What can I say, he's krogan, he's an oddball. Next it was down to the shuttle bay to trade in my old shock turret for a new and improved flamethrower. Score. While there James and I chatted about him joining the N7 program (yes I know that's not where the conversation takes place, makes more sense though). He's proven himself to be a very capable soldier since we left Earth, at least when he's not trying to be like Wrex, so I encouraged him to go for it.
As we finally entered the Nimbus Cluster, Doc called me to the medbay and asked me to swap some supplies with a turian on the Citadel. She's got that look in her eye like she wants it done yesterday, but if she gives me a hard time about it, I'm definitely reminding her we were just on the frakkin' Citadel.
At last we arrived where no man has gone before. Little too peaceful though. Something is definitely wrong here. We went inside, and James pointed out there was no elevator. Thank you captain obvious. I think that'll be his new nickname. I also think Kaidan's L2 implants are still a little rattled. He looked nervous and kept tripping over things as we made our way through the place. We came across some dead cannibals and one dead commando. Grunt suggested we buy one of those leather commando outfits for Liara. Yeesh.
Our first fight. Kaidan fainted when we saw the banshee. Damn. I was counting on that cryo mod he's got in his Omni-tool to complement my new flamethrower. He definitely left Huerta Memorial too soon. Not a bad fight though. The banshee's cannibal honor guard tried to flank James and me, but my drones kept them at bay. Woke Kaidan up when it was over. Neither he nor James look quite so interested in being here anymore, not after that banshee.
Later we bumped into Samara, who was here to rescue her daughters. It was good to see her again. Kaidan couldn't believe I actually knew her. He asked me to get her to autograph one of his old copies of Justicar Heroes some time. I told him he should've come with us back on Horizon, he could have asked her himself. In truth I hoped that when we met our next banshee, Samara could put up one of those barriers again, like she did back on the collector base. No dice. She took off after her daughter instead and told us to rendezvous in the Great Hall. Crap.
On our way there we stopped to look through one of the big picture windows. Kaidan told James we used to drive a mako through mountains like that all the time, back when we were on the SR1. James thought we were both loco. I told Kaidan to get his own nickname. Fought our way past another banshee. Kaidan managed to stay awake this time, and it was pretty neat to flash freeze those cannibals. Finally we caught up with Samara and Falere.
Had to find a detonator for the bomb the asari commandos were setting up when they died. Got surprised by two banshees this time. Kaidan fainted again. Crap that was a tough fight. I dunno where James disappeared to, but he was still shooting things, so I didn't worry too much. I think he must've dropped his grenades because he didn't throw a single one. If he tells me he left them back on the Normandy, I'm taking away that N7 recommendation.
Samara's other daughter sacrificed herself to save us from getting swarmed by banshees. She was already becoming one of them anyway, but I still felt bad for Samara. Apparently she felt even worse because I had to stop her from putting a bullet in her own head. Doesn't she know there's a war on? We're gonna need her.
Total number of reloads: 0. Maybe I'll send Grunt off to bug Kaidan for awhile. Next up, some Cerberus scientists are on the lam from TIM. Great. Maybe I'll go find Dr. Bryson instead.
Arwen Shepard flew to the prison ship Purgatory where she was supposed to pick up a "super-biotic" named Jack. When she got there the Turian in charge tried to take her prisoner. Shepard told him to go to hell, and then fought her way through a bunch of his minions to make sure he did. She finally caught up with Jack who had a history with Cerberus. Stand in line, woman.
Once back on the Normandy Shepard answered a call from the Illusive Man. It appeared as though the Collectors might be attacking a colony named Horizon. So Shepard set off to try and stop them. She took Jack and Mordin along. She figured Mordin should test out his defenses in person, and she wanted to see Jack in action. Well Mordin's defenses worked out just fine, but Jack was a huge disappointment. She put on one hell of a display on the prison ship, but apparently whatever powers she used there have a once-in-a-lifetime cool down. Her remaining biotics proved to be quite wimpy, although not all of that is her fault. After Shepard died folk seemed to have figured out how to protect themselves against most biotic attacks by a modification to their kinetic barriers. No more lifting shielded enemies and dangling them helplessly in the air. Now you had to shoot off their shields before you got to demonstrate your prowess as a space magician and Jack had nothing in her little bag of tricks to help disable the bad guys' biotic defenses. That is, unless you count foul language.
Once Shepard & Co. had chased off the Collectors Ashley Williams showed up. Shepard was really happy to see Ash. Too bad the feeling was not mutual. Ashley became very angry at Shepard when she found out Shepard was working with Cerberus. She even called Shepard a traitor. Jeez, Ash, what did Cerberus ever do to you? They tried to have Shepard killed and used Jack as a lab rat, yet they are working with Cerberus. Tali may have had a problem with Cerberus, but at least she didn't turn on her old friend like you did. Chill out woman.
Once back on the Normandy, TIM sent us three more dossiers on people we might be able to recruit for our mission, including one on Tali. Apparently, TIM had gotten over his reservations about the Quarian. The first thing Shepard did, however, was head to Illium to meet her old girl friend Liara, although after her meeting with Ash she was more than a little worried that Liara wouldn't love her anymore.
Is there a saying that all roads to Illium? If there isn't, there should be. When Shepard got there it was as if some galactic force had arranged a reunion of all of Shepard's old acquaintances. Conrad was there, still acting like a jerk. Gianna was there and finally came through with her offer of a beer. Shiala was there as well, although now she was green. And some Asari who had met with the Rachni showed up to pass along a message from the queen. Its probably for the best that queen didn't show up in person.
Finally, Shepard met with Liara. Although Liara didn't treat Shepard like a leper, the reunion was a little cold for two people who had been lovers. One kiss and it was straight to business. It would seem that some of Shepard's ruthless nature had rubbed off on the blue space babe. I knew we shouldn't have taken her with us on the mission on Virmire!
Having taken care of business (for now) on Illium, Shepard flew off to recruit Tali. On the way she had a couple of encounters with Geth in the Pylos Nebula. That turned out to be good practice, as if Shepard needed much practice fighting Geth, for Haestrom, the planet where Tali was. Once we got to her, Tali agreed to join us on the Normandy. Ashley could learn a thing or two about loyalty and friendship from Ms vas Neema.
Although Shepard has two more potential recruits she needs to find, she has started to accumulate a whole host of personal requests from her crew to deal with problems they are having. Somewhere along the way someone must have spread some disinformation about Shepard being a domestic relations therapist rather than a soldier because every one seems to think she can help them with their family problems. Jacob wants to track down a distress beacon from the ship his father served on, Miranda wants to keep her sister safe from her father, and Jack wants to blow up her surrogate father's old home. Shouldn't they be talking to Kelly about these problems? She's the one with a degree in psychology, not Shepard. Well, at least Garrus's request seems straight forward: track down the guy who betrayed him and kill him. We shall dub this mission "Finding Dr. Saleon, part II."
Did several ME1 sidequests last night. As I'm trying to get as much exp as possible (without huge metagaming), doing full clears of Uncharted Worlds (thanks Wiki!) is sooo boringggg.
Next up Novaria, Terra Nova, Pinnacle Station, Virmire, Ilos, Citadel, and doing it alll over again in full RP mode on Insanity NG+. Woooooo.
Then I won't touch ME1 again until I'm totally done the trilogy on this file.
Completed the game with a Shepard who didn't hesitate to choose the renegade option if it meant completing his goals faster, no matter the death toll.
Goodbye Destiny Ascension. Goodbye countless mercs that were thrown out of buildings or just shot. Goodbye thousands of civilians on Omega. Goodbye Geth.
Elizabeth Nancy Shepard(Lisa) made it to Noveria looking for Saren's 2nd in Command Benezia. After a tense moment with security, she talks with Gianna Parasini. Lisa licks her lips. She likes Parasini. Gianna tells Lisa she needs to talk with the Administrator about getting clearance to get to peak 15. After the clown insults her homeworld, Lisa decides she will get him back and find another way to get to Peak 15. Gianna mentions talking with a Lorik Qui'in who might be able to help Lisa.
Lisa gets the retreives the information for Lorik and encounters a bunch of losers. She kills them all without any remorse. Lisa wonders what her body count will be when she leaves the military. She can't worry about that now. She runs into Gianna who wants to meet her in the louge. Alright she wants to buy me drinks. She's all for that. Turns out Gianna is a an agent with Internal Affairs. She wants Lorik to testify against the Administraor. Cool. That would be one way to get rid of the clown for making that comment about her homeworld. Lorik agree's to testify and Gianna gives a pass to Lisa who says if they cross paths again she will buy LIsa a beer.
Once in the garage, Lisa , Kaidan and Garrus encounter more machines. Once they're taken care of, Lisa takes the Mako and heads for Peak 15. As she's driving. more robots start attacking. Lisa turns on the radio and hears a song she hasn't heard in awhile. As she is jammin' to the music, she is running over the machines. LIfe can't any better then this.
They finally reach the facility only to encounter a couple of Krogan and large Geth thingy. They made short work of the enemies and proceeded further into the biulding. They run into a bunch of bugs. So all 3 attached a can of Raid to their weapons and take care of the creepy crawlers. At the same time run into more Geth and some mercs helping Benezia.
Lisa finally confronts Benezia only to hear some pathetic line about how few humans have seen an Asari commando unit before. Yeah. Sure. Whatever. That went well considering Lisa killed the Commando's without breaking a sweat. Lisa wanted to say to the idiot, "Have you seen an human Commando unit before? Few Asari have". Benezia reveals the location of a relay, but doesn't know anymore than that or what Saren's plans are.
Now Lisa is left with the Queen. Kaidan and Garrus felt it wouldn't be right to kill the thing and might be wise to let the council decide. Let the council decide its fate. Like Lisa could trust those morons. She kills the thing and heads back to the Normandy.
Back on the Normandy she talks with Garrus who reveals a case he was working on involving a Dr.Saleon. Just as Lisa is about to have the Normandy head to the location give by Garrus, the coucil contacts her about heading to Virmire that a Salarian team has possible information on Saren. Lisa puts that off and proceeded to the location given by Garrus. They boarded the MSV Fedele and killed the Salarian. Back on the Normandy, she heads to Virmire to see what's going on there.
Tonight I made a sausauge baguette. I also did this:

"Sir Issac Newton is the deadliest SOB in the universe."
Really nice shots. I wish I could take a few myself, but for some reason I can´t on origin.

Great pics, I really like that one with the planet in the background.

Cheers, origin doesn't have a screen shot function. If you have steam, try running origin through that and using the steam one.

After recruiting Tali for our mission, Arwen Shepard decided it was time to start dealing with the flood of requests from her crew to deal with personal issues they had. Need to get them focused on the mission. Can't afford any distractions. (Damn, now Arwen is starting to sound like TIM.)
First up was finding the Turian who betrayed Garrus. On the way to Sidonis we had to go through that scumbucket Harkin who was defended by a bunch of mechs and Blue Suns. We leaned on Harkin pretty hard (Garrus shot him in the leg) and arranged a meeting with Sidonis. One shot, clean and simple, and Garrus's issues were dealt with.
Next up was finding a former colleague of Mordin who was captured by the Blood Pack and was being held on Tuchanka, that is, if he was still alive. Tuchanka. What a pit. The clan leader we talked to, a guy named Urdnot Wreav, told us the planet hated the Krogan and the Krogan hated the planet. Maybe if the Krogan weren't at war with their homeworld so much it wouldn't be such an awful place to live. Somehow I doubt any Krogan are members of the Nature Conservancy. Anyway, we tracked down Mordin's old colleague who, we found out, was trying to cure the genophage. The dude was seriously off his nut if he thought curing the genophage would lead to a Krogan renaissance. Maybe he should have talked to Patriarch about how Krogan children were treated before the genophage. Well, we put a stop to that and destroyed his research data to be doubly sure. Seems kind of silly, I suppose, to destroy the data. Its not like people don't keep secrets all the time, but Shepard figured this data, while it might be interesting from a scientific point of view, would never get shared with any scientists anyway. So what difference did it make?
Next we headed to Pragia to blow up the Cerberus facility where Jack was raised. We ran into another test subject who had returned to the facility, although for a very different purpose than Jack's. The dude, a guy named Arresh, wanted to restart the program. How whacked is that? Jack surprised Shepard, however, by letting the guy go.
Then it was back to Illium to deal with Miranda's daddy issues. Turned out Eclipse mercs, led by a commando named Enyala, had been hired by Miranda's father to capture Oriana, Miranda's sister, and bring her back to her father. Worse, Miranda's old friend, a guy name Niket, was helping them. Except Enyala ended up killing Niket and then tried to kill us as well. Supposedly she is some super badass commando, but from what I can tell her only real strength lay in outnumbering her opposition 10 to 1. This seems to be the story of Shepard's life: her enemies are about as smart as a sack of rocks, their only real advantage being their numbers.
Once back on the Normandy, Shepard had to break up a fight between Jack and Miranda. What is it with those two? Shepard told them to stop it and keep a deck apart in the future.
Next, it was time to help out Tali who had been accused of treason. So we flew off to meet up with the Migrant Fleet. Turns out one of the Fleet's ships, the Alerei, had been taken over by Geth and they were blaming Tali for it. Even worse, from Tali's point of view, was that her father was on the ship and presumed dead. So we volunteered to recapture the ship and hopefully find evidence proving Tali had nothing to do with this. We did find the evidence (and Tali's dead father), but Tali was rather pig headed and didn't want Shepard to present it at the trial. She was worried about her father's reputation since the evidence showed he was responsible for the Geth capturing the ship. Shepard didn't quite understand her reasoning, but she went along with Tali's wishes and told the Admiralty Board to get stuffed. She could care less if they lost their toy ships in a war with the Geth, just leave Tali out of it. That brought them up short (it was fun to see the Admirals sputtering objections to Shepard's accusations) and they agreed to clear Tali's name. Fortunately, she kept her new name, and Ms vas Neema is now known as Ms vas Normandy. Good.
That still leave's Jacob's issue to deal with, but Shepard has decided to return to Illium and see about recruiting this assassin that is on her list of potential team members.
Yesterday at 1542 EST, there was a death in the family. My 17 year old 21 inch Nokia monitor died. I called my lady friend who came to my side and gave me hug for my loss. We dressed up and held a ceremony for it. I never cried so much in my life. This morning my father had a used Samsung 25 inch LCD monitor that I could have. It looks great and it will take time getting use to it.
Ok. Enough of the sad crap. Let's get to Elizabeth Nancy Shepard and her goal of killing female squadmates. She's more important then some stupid monitor.
She lands on Virmire and has she drives forward only to encounter more machines. She runs them over without a care in the world. Its good to be me. Lisa finally meets up with the Salarians to see whats going on. Saren is researching a cure for the genephage. Lisa doesn't give a crap. She wants to kill Saren and find a way to kill Tali and Ashley. They've been nothing but a thorn in her side. Captain Kirrahe comes up with a plan to infiltrate the base. Lisa may hate aliens, but she likes the way the Salarian thinks. She's more than happy to send Ashley and her pink and white armor with the Salarians
Lisa, Garrus and Kaidan run into a lot more robots. With all the machines she has destroyed, she could've built a few ships to add to the fleet. They finally enter a building with some Asari studying indoctrination. Lisa decided a hole in her head would add to her looks. In another room is a beacon that Lisa activates and then talks to real reaper calling itself Sovereign. Lisa would be more intimidated if it was a female voice then some punk with a deep voice. After talking with the dummy, they head to meet up with the Normandy to put the bomb in position.
As Kaidan places the bomb, Ashley is under heavy fire. So what. I want her dead. Lisa doesn't see a problem. Once clear of the planet, the bomb blows up. Lisa could swear she saw a part of Ashley's ugly looking armor fly by the window. Alright. One down, one to go. So now its off the see some Archaeologist who might help understand the images from the beacons that has bothered Lisa since Eden Prime. She's not holding her breath about someone who digs in dirt to explain the images to her. Lisa will find out soon enough. Now she heads to her cabin to get some reat.
Today I've had man flu and so have not been at work. So I did this:

I still get shivers when my Shepard becomes a spectre in ME, such a great moment!
Got to play a bit from the Leviathon-dlc, the entire segment in mining/research facility, it was great! Just wish there had been more dlc. Also got to meat dear old Wrex hiding from the females of Tuchanka in a casino on the Citadel. A few drinks and some ice packs made it a pretty good evening.
Wrex is awesome. That's one of my favorite squad meet-ups in the citadel dlc... "More ice!"
@uber: Nice, though it also reminded me how much I loathe the scorpion armor.
So what's this Shepard like?

I've already decided Wrex aint leaving Virmire, and Legion is going for scrap.
