- Rescued some poor kid from a VI and sent him to an Alliance facility
- Left Jacob's rapist dad on a planet with crazed killers
- Made a really awkward pass at Garrus
- Garrus didn't notice that it was awkward
- Found out Grunt is going through puberty, so I helped him kill a thresher maw.
- Recovered some data on the genophage. Decided to keep it. Might come in handy. Who knows with these things?
- Was nice to see Wrex again
- Saved Thane's son from the cool life of a rich assassin and set him up with some pretty amazing community service with Bailey.
- Found the SR1 wreckage. Who cut onions in my helmet?!
- I still don't believe Helena Blake is a social worker, but with no evidence to the contrary I'll go with it.
- Morinth is nutty, and her mom killed her.
- Mordin gave me some advice on making sure sexy time with Garrus didn't cause chafing. I really need to find time Google this on the extranet. (Sometimes I just can't believe that Google has been around for three hundred years!)
- Did some piddly tasks on Ilium for Liara before finally getting around to telling her I can help with the Shadow Broker.
- Liara and I killed the Shadow Broker.

Elodie might be Paragon, but she still likes it when we all get to point our guns at things:

I'm playing through ME2 and I'm stuck on the romance decision.  My Shepard romanced Kaidan in ME1, and I can't decide if she should stay loyal to him, romance Garrus, or romance Thane-  I know Thane's romance gets shafted in ME3, but I do like his content in ME2 regardless *shrugs*.

Oh, decisions, decisions...

I didn't try the romance but I never understood the interest in Thane. He has no reason to be recruited. He has a philosophy designed to let him pretend he isn't responsible for his murders yet he acts like he feels bad when you talk about them in relation to his son.

I'm on board with this. But, even though I haven't talked to him much outside of my very first playthrough, I thought that a lot of his issues are that his wife was murdered because he was an assassin, and not that he feels bad for being an assassin.

That's true but he prays for his sins and mopes about Kolyat being the only good thing he put into the world.

Thane's logic is very hypocritical and it's why I've never liked him. This is even more prevalent if you talk to him after failing his loyalty mission. "Removing evil isn't the same as creating good." WTF? So stopping Kolyat from killing someone would be "creating good" because Kolyat spawned from Thane's loins?!

Last night I started playing ME3. I started a new game plus with a character I haven't played since Sept. 2012.

I finished recording a bunch of stuff about squadmates for my ME2 Insanity Adept video series.

Then I played the first part of Arrival and rescued Dr. Kenson from the Batarian prison.

Then I ate a whole bag of nuts. I regret eating the whole bag; I should have stopped halfway.

Taking a small break, then I will head back to finish Arrival, and hopefully Overlord DLC.

Seriously, I should not have eaten the whole bag of nuts. What was I thinking?

Making the final push for the Primal Adept playthrough. Finished the missions up to Rannoch and hopefully will finish the playthrough tomorrow. Will update with the videos soon. Afterwards would either go back to Skyrim/Fallout or to tackle the suicide Sentinel idea - kill enemies by detonating Tech Armor :)

Well a hypocritical character is fine if he can be called out on it. However, that line from Thane is about wanting Kolyat to be good, not that stopping him from murder is itself good. It's the same way Thane will tell Kolyat he's the only good Thane put into the universe.

So Jane Shepard (Adept) landed at the base on the asteroid with Dr. Kenson. Dr. Kenson showed her the artifact they found, which was sitting around in the open unshielded. Of course everyone suddenly started attacking her. Jane managed to survive all the waves of project personnel (and one YMIR mech) before the artifact itself put her down for the count.

But thanks to Cerberus upgrades, Jane managed to power through the sedatives the remaining project personnel were using to keep her out, and she fought her way out of the base, activated the project, and slammed that asteroid into the Mass Relay. Over 300 000 Batarians died. Jane feels bad, but... everyone hates the Batarians.

Next, Jane headed out to find out way Project Overlord had stopped reporting to the Illusive Man. Surprise surprise, a Cerberus experiment gone wrong! Who would have guessed? Jane fought her way through Hermes station and destroyed a satellite dish. Then she went to Vulcan station; she managed to avoid swimming in lava (she heard it does bad things to your hair). Then she went to Prometheus station, a crashed Geth ship. Note to the Illusive Man: pick better music; 'stress-reducing' it is not. Even a deaf person would eventually kill someone to make it stop. Then finally Jane went to Atlas station and shut down the project by freeing David Archer. She sent him to Grissom Academy and pistol-whipped his brother Gavin for torturing him.

Then Jane Shepard fought the Blue Suns and found a Prothean ruin; she got another vision. Then she fought the Blue Suns and reclaimed a merchant freighter. Then she fought the Blue Suns and shut down a false distress beacon. Then she fought Batarian extremists to stop a missile launch. Unfortunately, she only managed to stop one missile. She saved a colony, but the military spaceport was destroyed.

Next up: Derelict Reaper, then Legion's loyalty mission, then finally the Suicide Mission.... which I will probably be doing next weekend while I edit videos all week from the footage I recorded.

I've just seen Kelly melt. Genuinely can't believe it, first time I've ever seen it happen and I have no idea what I've done differently from previous runs.

Didn't think it would effect me like this.

After going back and forth between Thane or Garrus, I decided to go with Garrus in the end.  Thane would add a dramatic element to her story etc etc, which would be nice and was pretty tempting... but in the end, his content in ME3 was lacking and I did originally do a replay of the trilogy to record footage for more videos.  I do video editing as a hobby and I want to make some Garrus fan videos after making a bunch for Dragon Age.

So.. my Shepard hit on Garrus.  She offered to test his reach and her flexibility.  In her quarters.  Sexually.

I'm stuck on another decision: whether to help Zaeed kill Vido or to save the refinery workers.  Paragon/Renegade points are a non-issue (thank you, Gibbed), but I'm playing as a Paragade and I'm unsure which is the best course of action.  She's already sacrificed lives before to catch and imprison Balak in ME1 so... I just don't know.  Hmm... *thinks it over*

Update:  I let Zaeed kill Vido and it didn't sit right with me.  Sorry, Zaeed.  You're a cool guy and that scene at the end was badass but I'm going back a save.

Been playing ME3 - got with Traynor because I mixed her up with Kelly from ME2. I just needed her to feed my fish, and now - several hours later, realized I wasn't in a relationship with Garrus anymore - and I mixed it up with the wrong game. GRR...

My brain is like Mass Effect mush...apparently,with all things in all PTs happening simultaneously.

Any mission complete screen in between the abduction and going through the Omega 4 relay will end up with half the crew dead and Kelly turned into a reaper slushie. You need to do Legion's LM before the abduction, not after. To be sure to get that go directly down to the AI core after the dialogue with Miranda and Jacob and activate Legion. After the initial dialogue with Legion exits, click on Legion again to get his LM. Unless you get his LM right then and there, assuming you have no other active recruitment or loyalty quests in your journal, the next time you go to the galaxy map you will get the abduction.

Oh, I must have missed the earlier comments about Thane.  To be fair, there are other squad mates who don't make much sense to be recruited for the Suicide Mission, at least from a story perspective (and not from a technical one).  On one hand, I can "get" why Cerberus had an interest in getting Jack back (and her biotic abilities do come in handy on the SM), but she still could seriously jeopardize the mission at any moment.  Samara's biotic abilities also come in handy, but her Code could cause her to do some serious damage to Cerberus and/or Shepard after the SM.  Kasumi... a master thief... ignoring how her technical skills come in handy on the SM, why do we need a master thief?

I guess the one thing Thane doesn't have going for him compared to the others is that he's not a specialist for, well, anything on the Suicide Mission (welp).  But, story wise, there are other equally questionable squad mates on the team *shrugs*

Though, I did burst out laughing when I saw this playthrough where someone chose Thane as the biotic specialist

I've always done Legion's mission after the abduction and had all the crew survive, this is the first time I've ever lost part of the crew. Which is why it has come as such a shock.
