Kasumi is a perfect infiltrator. She would've been great for preliminary recon if needed. Not for actual fighting, although she can handle herself.
of course i am. your vote of confidence will be recorded in the memories.
*ahem*
Sparks is still on the Citadel. She went ahead and recruited Liara. Wrex and Tali too. I can't remember how much I haven't posted in here yet. She's a Spectre, of course. Been hitting a lot of Renegade options because a renegade Engineer tickles me so. First time she was back on the ship, guess who she goes to talk to? Tali. NERD!

So you were just being picky for no reason since the difference doesn't advance your argument in the least bit.
Saying she uses "something like Overload" implies that she uses a power that is similar to Overload in function but differs in results. Given that we don't see any other examples of shield technology being disabled permanently or just for a long enough time as in Hock's gunship case, that shows her expertise with tech. This, combined with disabling greybox protection in the vault, hacking the door into the security room, disabling cameras - all is meant to show her qualification as a hacker.
Saying it was "just Overload" implies that what she used is no different from Shepard's Overload just on a gunship scale, which is not the case here and belittles her accomplishments during the mission.
Overall, being a thief, and such an experienced one, Kasumi is not only an expert in stealth, but also in bypassing all kinds of security and protection layers enemies might have at their disposal. She also has the advantage of not being affiliated with any military. As a result, she is a great candidate for an infiltrator spot on the team which was my argument all about.

Go watch the scene again. There is no hacking. She does some sort of EMP on it. Gee, that's what overload is! For all you know, it's not permanent. It's duration is "enough." Her cloaking skill is good for infiltration but you can get two better hackers. Tali, whose skills we have more reason to believe in, and Legion, who is the best choice, though you get him late. I can see Kasumi at being great at hacking safes, or even a Cerberus/merc base, but it's more of a stretch for Collector tech.
I guess I can see wanting some overall infiltrator (which Shepard could be) since we're just collecting people for some unknown task. But we never need an infiltrator until Arrival and Kasumi can't come.
Sallie (Engineer) hit Horizon. I rarely not take Garrus (I like his comment when confronting VS), but this time I somehow stopped myself. Got Miranda comment in his place. Either way, meeting with Ash didn't go as planned.
After that we got a few more dossiers. After some... troubles... Tali, Samara and Thane joined the team.
By being careful about picking missions, I was able to complete LotSB (Sallie romanced Liara - Vasir's "She was certainly into ugly. No offense." is perfect), as well as Miranda's (convinced her to keep in touch with Oriana) and Jacob's loyalty missions.
Whenever I play mixed alignment Shepard, I have a problem with Jacob's mission, because I actually like all three options. Decided to go with middle one. Leave Jacob's father to deal with the mess he created. "The crazy ones. You don't know what they'll do to me!" Mordin didn't fail to deliver perfect answer.
Spoiler
After that TIM called again. Shepard with Samara and Miranda boarded Collectors' Ship. Which turned out to be a trap. At least Shepard got to shout a bit.
Now back to assignments/loyalty missions. Reaper IFF can wait.

Legion actually has some interesting (and creepy o.O) dialogue during that part too. I wish Legion could join the squad earlier (you know, without turning the crew into slushies). I guess Gibbed is an option next time *shrugs*

I finished Lair of the Shadow Broker and brought Liara to the Normandy for a tour *before* the Suicide Mission. I like the dialogue before the Suicide Mission because you're given a chance to vent about Horizon (by picking the "I'm frustrated"/Renegade dialogue). It's one of the few times Shepard's given the opportunity to vent about anything in ME2 so I usually jump on that option. Shepard also talked about her new relationship with Garrus. Even on the friendship path with Liara, this was a good scene that allowed me to express my Shepard

Yes! The chance to give Shepard a tiny bit of character is awesome. The guy/gal is unaffected by his/her death so it's nice to see a bit of humanity.
Since I have Ash back, I took her right with me... and back to Eden Prime. Lots of memories for both of us.
I'm concerned about Cerberus spreading, so I will do everything I can to clear them out wherever they are (yup, this means a couple of N7 missions coming up next ). Of course, since Cerberus had found a Prothean artifact on Eden Prime, Liara went with us. And then we found out the 'artifact' was actually a stasis pod containing a real, living Prothean. Unbelievable! We couldn't open the pod with force as that would've killed the Prothean, so we needed to find the information on how to do it properly. We had to fight off Cerberus, but luckily we found what we needed soon. There were some consoles, and I could see... images, scenes from the Prothean war with the Reapers. Liara and Ash couldn't see it though, so it must've been the cipher I got a few years back. Lucky for us Cerberus could not make any use of the footage either.
With the command codes we could finally open the pod, but until it did we had to deal with reinforcements. And then... The Prothean was confused, naturally for someone who just woke up after 50,000 years and getting told he's the only one left. Poor guy. He was a bit distant, but nevertheless he came back with us to the Normandy. Liara and I carefully talked to him a bit, and while he might be a little... revenge-driven, we could always use someone so intent on killing the Reapers. I hope we can give him the opportunity to avenge his people.

Jenkiiiiiiins
I'm usually not very good at shooting, so this headshot was an amazing moment, haha.
Turd. I mean, Turret.
Hiding doesn't help you The grenade does, though.
Good thing Shepard has that!
More boom.
Slamming fun.
I really love Cryo, did I mention that yet?
Aaaaah, there it is!
Taking care of mooks while Liara and Ash shoot at the Atlas, haha.
Then it was time to deal with that sucker.
Christmas time for Liara
I love this transition soooo much! I look forward to it every time.
It's pretty cool the dialogue changes here. I think it's depending on how far you are in the game? Last time I did Eden Prime very early and my Shepard was not confident according to Javik
Skilled in one art: killing trolling.
I delayed getting Javik because I wanted to take Ash for dialogue, and that was probably the first and last time with her The mission went really well and by the end I had put Ash and Liara in cover next to the pod, patiently awaiting the Atlas... and it dropped right on them. I was like Both died almost instantly and I just made it back to the building. Luckily no mooks were inside yet and I revived my squaddies from there. That was a panicky moment, haha.

I'm sorry, but I laughed Poor Ash and Liara.
This also reminded me that I wanted to take EDI again with me. Javik's reaction when he sees her is priceless.
Renegade Shepard is scary during the Tali/Legion conflict in ME2
I really, reaaaaaaaally like this renegade option. The fact that first Shepard I used it with had full renegade scars only added to that line.
I was about to start the Suicide Mission, but then the screen went black (while the SM music continued playing) right after going through the Omega 4 Relay. I'm currently repairing and reinstalling the game on Origin
Update: Well, that didn't solve my problem. Ugggggg. This is what's happening each time I try to go through the Omega 4 Relay, even after repairing the game. Any idea what's going on here? I'm going to check out Tech Support too and see if there's anything on this issue (though Google didn't turn up anything useful).
In desperation I deleted my Mass Effect 2 file and am doing a complete re-download and reinstall since everything I found in my search suggested it's some kind of corrupt install. Goddess, this is annoying.
Sometimes my mind goes completely sideways. This is what I thought of when I saw that screenshot:
Liara: Hmm. I would have thought it would have been bigger.
Ashley: You mean the Prothean?
Liara: [Awkward pause] Uh,... Yes?
Shepard: [Continues to stare] ... Impressive.

Pretty sure it depends if you have beat Tuchanka yet. Basically if you kill the Reaper on Tuchanka, Shepard gains a little confidence and Javik senses it.
I think the dialogue also changes slightly if you do it after Thessia (lose to Kai Leng) but before Sanctuary.
Sparks headed to Feros to help out the colony. Blew up a few Geth...helped the colony get all those necessities...made a Geth ship fall from a building. Saved Elizabeth Baynam...killed Jeong...shouldn't been talking ish. Managed to save the colonists from themselves because she saw no reason to kill them if she could save them from the Thorian's thralldom. Killed the Thorian...let Shiala live and remain in Feros to help the colonists(I've never killed her in any playthrough). With Fai Dan gone, she figured that at least the colonists deserved someone honest helping them out...she was very forthcoming about her Indoctrination. Head canon that Sparks keeps in touch with the colony as often as possible...just in case.
Liara searched Sparks mind...couldn't find anything to help them understand what the Conduit is and why Saren wants it...yet. Got a few side missions to complete before heading to Noveria. Actually...a LOT of side missions. She'll head to Eletania first since it's in the Attican Beta as well.
On an unrelated note, I like how people always talk about the way you can be ninja-manced by Liara but fail to highlight the same thing being possible with Kaidan. Dude I just came down here to get to know my crew...the hell you asking me if I make a habit of talking to everyone? YES. It's what Shepard does like...calm your cheeks, sir. That's really prevented me from romancing him ever because that is really creepy and I have to Renegade to get him to sit all the way down.
*edit* oh yeah forgot the most important part.. hung up on the Council.

I intentionally romanced Kaidan on my Femshep run, but i know it happens with Ashley. I was nice to her but avoided the flirt dialogues. Still, she later asked if i still wanted her. That could be completely platonic, but it isn't lol.

Happened to me too with Kaidan. I think you have to choose the bottom right reply in that initial Citadel flirt dialogue. I don't think there's any way to get around it after that, and I had to edit my ME2 import to remove the romance.

At least with Liara she asks if Shepard's interested and s/he has an option to say "No, I just want to be friends." With Kaidan, you can either say "Yeah, I like to talk to you" (which somehow = "I want you, Kaidan" ) or "Wow, your stories are boring". Unless you know ahead that this is the dialogue that triggers his romance, it's really easy to get ninja-manced by him.
After going back and forth between Thane or Garrus, I decided to go with Garrus in the end. Thane would add a dramatic element to her story etc etc, which would be nice and was pretty tempting... but in the end, his content in ME3 was lacking and I did originally do a replay of the trilogy to record footage for more videos. I do video editing as a hobby and I want to make some Garrus fan videos after making a bunch for Dragon Age.
So.. my Shepard hit on Garrus. She offered to test his reach and her flexibility. In her quarters. Sexually.
Spoiler
Nice looking Shepard, way too pretty to be banging dinosaurs.
Finished loyalty missions (with some assignments between) with everyone loyal. Highlights:
- Tali wasn't exciled
- Talid was killed during Thane's mission
- Garrus didn't kill Sidonis
- Jack spared Aresh
- heretics were destroyed
- Samara killed Morinth
- team killed Thresher Maw
- Mordin saved the data
After that Collectors decided to pay a visit while Shepard was away. Not nice at all. Without waiting, team went through Omega 4 Relay. Grunt had to keep his word.
Spoiler
Everyone returned back after destroying their base.
Told ya it was quicker than I thought.
I'm not sure if I'm going to import this Shepard into ME3, so I'm also not sure if I want to do Overlord and Arrival. What I know is that Sallie likes this particular door.
Spoiler
Ah, magic of loading the save you made in strange moment.
I left a question over at EA Tech Support's page, fingers crossed that they can help me fix the problem. I still can't go through the Omega 4 Relay without the screen blacking out, even after doing a complete redownload/reinstall of the game. This is pretty frustrating

My guess is that it's a mod issue. Did you try it without any mods installed?
