I had no problem with the one that opened up all recruitments. Tali, Samara, and Thane all have lines for the first half missions. Legion does too but that mod requires some work behind the scenes to get him.

I picked Jack (Thane would have worked too) to make sure Garrus picked Shepard up on the Normandy. I had to make sure his icon was on the RIGHT side for him to slide down the platform (so I had to go back an autosave a couple times to swap him and Jack) ![]()

My current ME3 playthrough is moving at a pathetic pace. I should've had it completed a few days ago. I will try to complete the playthrough today. I came up with a playthrough that I haven't done for ME2. I already know the outcome, I just have to play it to confirm that outcome.

I actually had the itch to play again yesterday. I didn't scratch it though. Instead, I played Reverse Crawl.
The "crawl" part is weak, but the game is fun. It's short but there is replay value. Turn based combat where your units are traditional monsters and enemies have traditional player classes.

I recently did a playthrough where I planned which squadmates would die; including taking notes to figure it out. Seems kind of morbid to plan that. lol I basically wanted to kill ones whose death changed things somewhat drastically in ME3. That included Mordin, Tali, and Legion.

After hoovering over "Resume", I decided to complete Overlord and Arrival. I was trying to avoid Hammerhead in this pt, but well.
I sent David to Grissom Academy. Survived all 5 waves. After that... Got sedated. Broke free. Shot Dr. Kenson. Destroyed Alpha Relay with asteroid. Had casual chat with Admiral Hackett. Nothing unusual.
And thus my ME2 run is complete.

Terminator Shepard has rescued Ferron and 6 months have passed. After arriving on Mars he hasn't had much time to think about where things are headed with Liara. Being under house arrest hasn't helped things and now Harbinger is here. Even so there's no denying that there is distance between them now so much has happened while he was gone.
No telling what could happen if Samara were to reappear in the middle of all this, which has him wary. He shouldn't be thinking of her at all.
Least of all when Cerberus is trying doubly hard to take his head off today.
So Termy has gone through sniper training and is now a qualified infiltrator instead of a sentinel. Liking the class so far getting a bit cocky with the Kitana 1 on insanity though. Simply enjoying the run and gun too much with Flare + K.A + L.T
I really like this Shepard, almost as much as I hated my renegade. I will play through with this guy again for sure. Talimance next time.

Finished another playthrough of ME3. Nothing special. Used my biotics to kill the uglies and the keystone cops. And just like all my previous playthroughs, chose destroy.
I will start an ME2 playthrough. This playthrough will be much quicker. I already know what I will do.

I finished Rannoch today and a bunch of scanning missions, so tomorrow I'm going to do the fuel reactors and then Thessia. Naturally means that I'm already thinking about my next Shepard. I'm trying to think of a way to RP one who would choose Control, but I can't. And the game doesn't really let you side with TIM when he talks about controlling the Reapers, so that's disappointing. I've got kind of a redemption arc Shepard in mind who starts as Earthborn/Ruthless, but I can't think of a way for that to turn into Control. And I'm thinking I may have two playthroughs now if I can figure out the Control Shepard.

I don't think there's a way to exactly "side" with TIM and controlling the Reapers, but I believe there's a way to not to be 100% against him and for destroying the Reapers.
ME2:
-Renegade interactions (not really necessary, but it helps from a roleplaying perspective to not be a dick to him all the time
)
-Keep the Collector Base
ME3 (kind of tricky, you're against him still but you don't have to be exactly against controlling the Reapers. It's possible to roleplay a Shepard who believes him but is frustrated with TIM because of him getting in his/her way all the time):
-Mars:
Paragon: "Work with me" OR Renegade: "Don't count me out" (both can work)
-Thessia (you still autodialogue "or destroying them" when he suggests Control, unfortunately:
Paragon: "We need to work together!" (Renegade: "Listen to yourself" kind of works but not as well)
Paragon: "You've lost touch" OR Renegade: "I used to trust you"
-Chronos:
Paragon: "It's not too late to help me" OR Renegade: "You're in this for yourself" (Both say the same thing, but Renegade is more pissed off at TIM)
Renegade: "I can't help you anymore" (Suggests that you've given up on TIM and Cerberus, but still not against Control)
-Citadel:
Renegade: "We're not the enemy here"
Renegade: "You're power hungry" (and then TIM will suggest that Shepard can control the Reapers)
Renegade: "Then you've failed humanity" (then you shoot TIM)
The Paragon dialogue kind of works because you try to redeem TIM in the end, but you'll say that humanity isn't ready for Control which goes against what you want.

In terms of role-playing/dialogue, a "controller" Shepard only disagrees with The Illusive Man taking control. There is also the fact that Shepard thinks control is impossible until you are actually given the option to control.
For the redemption arc, your renegade sees killing/destroying as the easiest way to get things done. Maybe starting in Mass Effect 2, Shepard begins to become more reflective and tries to soften a bit, and eventually listens to The illusive Man's ideas about keeping the Collector Base to save more potential lives. And this can carry through to Mass Effect 3 where your Shepard feels that more good can be done by controlling the Reapers instead of destroying them.
From a gameplay perspective... an Engineer or Infiltrator in ME2 and ME3 that uses AI Hacking/Sabotage + Dominate for controlling enemies on the battlefield. It makes the control ending more consistent with Shepard's power set.
(I have only one Shepard that took Control ending. She was a pure Paragon, because Charm is essentially control in dialogue form.)

Liara, Ash and I landed on Noveria to deal with Cerberus. Been some time since we last were on Noveria. We were able to seize a fighter squadron facility after disabling the defenses, and gained an advantage for the Alliance here.
We continued on to Benning, where apparently Cerberus is attacking civilians, taking them against their will. We did encounter lots of Cerberus troops there, but we were successful and could keep some of the civilians safe, securing the area. Cerberus denies being responsible for this and Hackett said the Alliance believes them this time... I'm not so sure. Something's not right. I thought about what they did to Jack... who knows what they're up to.
We set course for Tuchanka again and I had a nice chess match with Traynor. She's very good. And a lot of fun. I guess this was not our last match to play.
Back on Tuchanka, Liara, Ash and I fought more Cerberus troops in an old krogan military facility and were able to take over. We used the cannons there to take down an approaching Cerberus cruiser. Ha, take this, f*ckers.
I told Joker to head back to the Citadel, I have a couple of things to do there, and I'm gonna see Jack. Can't wait. Some of my crew also makes good use of this short break and asked for me to spent some time with them. In the meantime, I invited James over and we talked about the N7 program a bit. He got a recommendation earlier and I hope he'll consider doing it once this war is over. He's a good kid.
Fun with Cerberus:
I noticed I'm getting a bit more ballsy lately, like not using cover all the time anymore and I even also melee'd a bit
Maybe it is because I know where most enemies spawn now and what to expect thanks to replaying missions over and over for Vega's dialogue
Can't wait to get killed doing something (for me) stupid like this ![]()

I had a Colonist/Ruthless who went for Control because she wanted the power to stop the kind of crap that got her family on Mindoir killed. It was a Renegade Control. A lot of her story was about revenge, but she did mellow out after Arrival. She started questioning whether what she had done in the Bahak system was any different than what Balak tried to do to Terra Nova. So when she got to the reactor on Omega she didn't take the renegade interrupt to shut it off. She wasn't going to sacrifice all those civilians no matter what Aria said. She did, however, shoot Mordin to prevent him from curing the Genophage. She was able to make peace between the Geth and Quarian, though she did it in a typical ruthless fashion by yelling at Admiral Gerral.

Awesome ideas, guys. Thank you! ![]()
I've never done Earthborn so that's part of the reason I wanted to choose it. And that might also fit with what you said, cap and gown. To prevent Earth from having the kind of slums she grew up in. I was definitely going to Renegade her, and have her be the type who chafes under the Alliance, and is therefore happy, at first, to be with Cerberus. And yes, definitely going to keep the Collector Base.
Infiltrator is my favorite class, so I lean towards that. One of my male Sheps was an Engineer, and maybe I didn't play it right but I didn't enjoy it as much as the Infiltrator, although that Engineer does make more sense for a Control Shep.

Adept Shepard on insanity...
It's been awhile since Shepard recruited everyone and his role now is one of problem solver. So he went to Pragia with Jack and Jacob (because apparently I'm a fan of alliteration John, Jack and Jacob
). They touched down on the planet where it was pouring down with rain. I love this rainy effect and I hope there is more weather effects in Andromeda. I think this is the only time it rains in the game (I could be wrong), anyway Shepard had a job to do of blowing up an 'ally' facility. As they progressed through Jack's childhood home, Shepard discovered it was another Cerberus facility used to conduct sick experiments. The facility wasn't as abandoned as first thought. The Blood Pack always seem to turn up in the most unwelcome places and this was no exception. Shepard killed the Krogan mercenaries and confronted Aresh. Aresh wants to rebuild the facility and begin the research again. Aresh might be an idiot but he doesn't deserve to die so Shepard persuaded Jack to leave him be. Jack spared him and Shepard told her she should let the past go. They still bombed the place just to give her added peace of mind. Shepard spoke to Jack back on the Normandy and didn't give her any sympathy about what just happened. He told her to get over herself as everyone has a past. This attitude seemed to make Jack more focused as she said she'll keep it together for the missions ahead.
Went to Illium next to help Miranda, Shepard began this task with all guns blazing. As soon as he left his skycar, he snapped a mercs neck and shot down a container full of flammable material. Shepard told Miranda to spare Niket so she didn't shoot him. Niket was spared for a few seconds where he got shot anyway
. Miranda was encouraged to speak with her sister because this may be her last chance to speak to her. Oriana has been relocated.
Jack and Miranda had a confrontation on the Normandy but Shepard told them both to cut it out. Then The Illusive Man wanted Shepard to investigate a Collector ship. Shepard took this request to heart and took the Normandy straight to the ship. Whilst he was investigating, his sniper training from the days when he fought Saren came back to him. The ship appeared to be abandoned but it ended in gunfire. So it's a 'dead' Spectre on the ship which killed him being attacked by the 'dead' Protheans. This theme of death caught up to Shepard because he was killed by Harbinger personally with a flame shot
. This was my first death today and I couldn't be bothered to try again (will try again over the weekend
).

I've only played adept once. I have nothing against the class except that on PS3 I can only hot-key 3 powers. Being practically limited to three is a disservice to the class.
Currently I'm replaying my canon, Nocturnal Shepard, who was the last character I made before a 2+ year hiatus from the trilogy. Never replayed a character before but she feels the most real to me. Here's her story.
http://forum.bioware...shepards-story/
One issue I had was trying to customize her face. The original wasn't as good as I liked, and outside of plain Jane, none of them ever really looked very good. Outside of changes to the hair and eyes, she didn't stray too far from the first custom option. I think I finally managed to improve her fairly well, but I'll see how she transfers to ME2. ME1 really has a terrible customizing system.

Jane Shepard (Adept) went to the Derelict Reaper and extracted the Reaper IFF. She recovered a trophy bot.
The robot wanted to go destroy some other robots, so Jane took them there and killed a bunch of them, then decided to rewrite some of their base code.
Tali and the robot got into a fight. Jane talked them down.
* * *
I had no trouble on the Derelict Reaper, unless you count that one time Mordin and Samara did not follow orders and ran into the line of Scion fire and got knocked out. I had a lot of trouble on Heretic Station for some odd reason. Garrus and Legion kept getting themselves knocked out of the fight because they refused to stay behind me. It got me killed several times. I died once by the Geth Prime. I cannot remember the last time that happened. Not sure if that has ever happened.
So either tomorrow or the weekend, I will finally finish this playthrough. Just the Suicide Mission left. It has taken me months to get through this playthrough. All that video I have been recording and posting to YouTube i guess. Jane will not be imported into ME3; I just wanted to have some fun with the ME2 Adept again because I have played a lot of tech characters lately, mostly Engineers.
(Next up is to finish my trilogy run with David Shepard, an Engineer.)
I may or may not create strategy guide for playing the ME2 Adept on Insanity, to complement the other Adept insanity guides already written.

I imported Jane Shepard into ME3. I think I did a pretty decent job with her transition from ME1-ME3. I gave her The Illusive Man Eyes in ME2 (and changed her into a biotic) for roleplaying appearances- and to make her look cool. I wanted to make the Cerberus "upgrades" more prominent.
