From the journal of David Shepard:
I met with Kaidan on the Citadel. He decided to take Udina's offer and become a Spectre. i congratulated him, then rushed off; i was on a tight deadline. I ran into Kelly Chambers again. She had changed her hair and her name. Glad to see she took my advice. I also ran into Miranda on the way out. Seems she had a falling out with The Illusive Man and ran away from Cerberus. Cerberus was hunting her, but she did not seem that concerned about it, mostly because she was more concerned with her sister Oriana who was missing and her father was likely involved somehow.
Back on the ship, we headed to Eden Prime. The Turian Primarch wants to invite the Krogan to the summit meeting, but he agreed that the Prothean artifact uncovered by Cerberus was more important. If it could help up build the Crucible or help the war effort in other ways, it was too valuable to wait. Well it turns out the Prothean artifact was actually a Prothean in stasis. What a find! Despite Cerberus interference, we managed to wake him up and get him out alive to the Normandy. His name is Javik, and he is a soldier. Unfortunate that he was not a scientist, but everyone agreed he could still be useful to the team, especially with his extensive experience.
Next we headed to Grissom Academy to deal with the distress call. We expected that it was Cerberus. Grissom Academy is home to some very gifted people. The Primarch, although still wanting to go the war summit, agreed that we needed to look into the Grissom Academy right away, especially if Cerberus was involved. It was at this point I noticed that someone painted nipples on my armor. Seriously, I go away for a few minutes and already someone is messing with my equipment. Speaking of equipment, they also painted my gun neon green and pink. I suppose i should count myself lucky that they did not mod my gun to shoot blanks.
Anyway, we landed on Grissom Academy and found that yes, it was Cerberus that sent the fake distress call, and that they were after biotic student. Figures. Kahlee Sanders -- an associate of Captain Anderson -- was an instructor at the academy and guided us through the school, where we ran headlong into Jack! Turns out Jack is an instructor, too; not what I would have expected in a million years, but it suits her. We managed to get Jack and the remaining biotic students off the station safely, killing a bunch of Cerberus troops along the way. It felt good to get people out alive, although we immediately sent them off to help support some troops on Palaven. They aren't Krogan, but the Primarch is glad for their assistance.
I think it is about time we head off to that war summit. I am not looking forward to playing peacekeeper between the Krogan and Salarian dalatross.
