From the journal of David Shepard:
I met with the Quarian Admiralty Board. It did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. About a week ago they initiated war with the Geth. Apparently they were winning right up until the point that the Reapers got involved and upgraded the Geth. Now the Quarians were pinned in the system around Rannoch and holding on for dear life as they were being bombarded by a Geth Dreadnaught. So we hatched a plan where I would sneak on board the Dreadnaught and disable it. Helping me would be their newest Admiral... Tali!
It was great to see Tali again. It was heartwarming to know she missed me as much as I missed her over the past several months. But she is also very worried about her own people as she is now an Admiral, struggling to make the right decisions. I know what that is like.
I boarded the Dreadnaught along with Tali and James. For whatever reason, James forgot all his grenades. Either that or Tali stole them (maybe as punishment for calling her 'Sparks'?). I soon learned that 'Grenades are a tactical weakness. Geth do not use them." I think James found one grenade lying around the whole time we were aboard the ship.
On board, we found a reconstruction of the Geth platform I gave to Cerberus several months ago. It offered to help us. The Reapers were using it to broadcast the Reaper signal to all Geth. After we freed it to disable the signal, it shut down all of the Dreadnaught's defenses. Admiral Han Gerrel then took the opportunity to fire on the ship instead of retreating as planned. We barely escaped off the ship in a Geth fighter before the Dreadnaught was destroyed. I am surprised we made it back to the Normandy in one piece. Admiral Gerrel and I yelled at each other a bit before he stormed off. I then had to keep the peace between Admirals Xen and Raan and the Geth VI.
The Geth VI said the Reaper's long-range signal was destroyed, but they were putting up a short-range signal in a Geth Base somewhere on Rannoch. It also gave us the location of a Geth server we could use to shut down some Geth fighters that were attacking the Quarians. Raan also gave us the location of Admiral Korris who had crashed down on Rannoch to destroy a Geth ground-to-space cannon.
Wars are usually long and bloody, but I need to find a way to end this war quickly if we stand any chance of defeating the Reapers.

David Shepard is my only Shepard to romance Tali. I admit that I enjoyed the flirting dialogue between Shepard and Tali aboard the Geth Dreadnaught.

It's even more fun if you have Garrus as the third wheel. ![]()
Yes! I threw Vesir off the building again.
I love to watch a distant figure slowly pinwheeling through the air as she fell.
The car chase in SB was one of the highlights, along with the battle outside the ship. ![]()
Lorraine Shepard heads to the prison station to complete the Cerberus transaction for the convict. Lorraine isn't the kind that likes people pushing her around so she reacted the only way she knew how: with a gun in her hand. She meets with the warden who explains to her his philosophies, not that she ever cared for them. The place goes bananas when the station turns against Shepard to turn her into their prisoner. This leads to Lorraine's first confrontation with the convict Cerberus bought, Jack. Jack had her nuances and she wouldn't be able to get along with Miranda with that kind of attitude. Shepard doesn't care either way.
Lorraine then finds herself putting on her Dr. Phil hat for her crew.
The Illusive Man reaches out to Shepard about Horizon and how her boyfriend was hanging out there. Shepard quickly spotted that something wasn't right about this. However, the Illusive Man was right. Kaiden was playing with bugs in Horizon. Too bad the bugs turned out to be the Collector invasion.
Lorraine reunites with her boyfriend, Kaidan. She thought he'd be glad to see her especially since she saved him from the damned bugs, but noooo! The ungrateful douchebag had other ideas.
To cope with all the emotional baggage that was in Horizon, Lorraine decided to refocus her efforts on hunting down the Collectors. Chasing the real threat was more worthwhile than chasing the imaginary ones in Kaidan's crazy mind.
Jacob probably did take a note of all that happened to Lorraine though...
Started ME 3. Since the quest tracker is non-existent, I decided to immediately do the side quests, return and throw them back at quest givers. Priorities are much easier to keep track of.
On a side note. I trying my level best to ignore the weird anatomies. The military undress uniform is horrible and the bells and whistles were not convincing. Anyway, it's time Bioware catch up with the others in the design and animation of human bodies department. I can cite a couple like RotTR and Uncharted 4.
From the journal of David Shepard:
I am exhausted from all the activity in the past 12 hours. It was evening when I went with the Geth VI to shut down the Geth server. I thought it would be a simple demolitions operation, but I keep forgetting my life is anything but simple. Nope, turns out the only way to shut it down was to interface with the Geth consensus and shut it down from the inside. It took some time, but I managed to do it, only to find out that the Geth VI had freed some Geth and downloaded them into Geth Prime platforms. At least they agreed to assist our war efforts.
In the time it took to shut down the Geth server, the Geth VI and Quarians had located the Geth base transmitting the Reaper signal. We had our priority target, but Admiral Korris was still missing in action. I vowed to find him before making the final assault, figuring the civilian fleet -- and Quarian fleet as a whole -- would be better off with their leader.
It was night when I went to go find Admiral Korris. He had crashed along with his crew onto Rannoch taking out a ground-to-space cannon. We were unable to locate him because Geth jamming towers were disrupting our sensors. And those jamming towers were guarded by anti-aircraft guns. So we had to go in on foot to disable the AA guns so we could destroy the jamming towers so we could locate Korris. We finally located Korris, but he did not want to come along, insisting that we rescue his crew instead. I argued against it and managed to convince him to come along. Saving Korris unfortunately meant sacrificing his crew to the Geth, but it also meant the civilian fleets had their leader back and not a moment too soon.
It was then dawn when we finally made our way to the Geth base. Tali was in awe that she was standing on her homeworld. She even picked out a spot for her house; maybe our house someday? The Geth did not make it easy on us. At one point we saw the antenna broadcasting the Reaper signal, but the Geth sealed it under a large blast shield. We needed to get it open first. We finally made our way to the top of the base overlooking the antenna (guarded by three Geth Prime units that gave us more than little trouble), and the Geth VI managed to override the base controls and open the blast shielding. I targeted it with my laser targeting gun, and the Quarians blasted it from orbit...
... only for it to reveal itself as an actual Reaper! The Geth VI had commandeered a vehicle and we hightailed it out of there, but the Reaper gave chase before it stumbled to the ground from more Quarian fire. Seems its firing chamber was a weak spot while priming. I had the 'brilliant' idea to get out of the vehicle and use my targeting laser so the Quarians could destroy the Reaper. Tali was extremely concerned about me putting my life in danger, but I assured her it was all right. Yeah, those feelings of confidence evaporated really quickly once it started shooting at me. Luckily the Quarians managed to shoot it down before it killed me.
With the Geth in disarray, Admiral Han Gerrel ordered the Quarian fleet to keep firing. The Geth VI then planned to download its Reaper upgrades to the Geth consensus so they would be true AI. I could not save both, so I chose to save the Quarians. The Geth VI did not take kindly to that and tried to kill me. Tali stabbed it with a knife (where did she get that?) and I shot it to death. The Quarians then destroyed the Geth over Rannoch, reclaiming their homeworld after almost 300 years in exile.
Tali and then sat down a while and enjoyed each other's company, watching as the day brightened over Rannoch. Tali expressed her interest in rejoining the Normandy to fight the Reapers. As much as I love her, I respected her position as a Quarian Admiral and told her that since her first priority was the Quarian people, I would understand if she stayed on Rannoch. But she insisted -- I did not take much convincing -- and I welcomed her back on board the Normandy.
Back on the Normandy and ready for some rest, the Asari Councilor called me. Seems she has some information about an artifact that could help with the Crucible. I will drop by and see her the next time I am on the Citadel.
P.S. A though disturbs me. I essentially just gave Tali her home planet of Rannoch as an engagement gift. How the heck am I supposed to follow that up on anniversaries? I may have just went too big too soon.
Just finished replaying my canon Shepard who I originally made years ago. The ending still makes me teary; largely because of the Liara romance angle. Like in the game, my head canon is up in the air on if they ever see each other again. And yes, I actually like the ME3 ending and think it is good.
Well, it sucks. ![]()
Is the mind-meld scene with Liara at Hammer base different if you romance her?
Just did Omega which is a first time for me. I think I also read something about controlling Aria but it didn't happen. Must be wrong. I think I'm going to do it again because I didn't get Aria to kiss Shep.
I guess I have to go renegade. But does it have to be renegade all the way? It seems wrong to shite up the people's lives and just say, Aria all the way. ![]()
P.S. I found the answer. Renegade all the way. ![]()

Your responses have to mostly be renegade. She will kiss you if this is the case; even if you do not overload the reactor. If you are an engineer though, you get a special interrupt with the reactor that satisfies both Aria and Nyreen. Splitting the responses between paragon/renegade makes her confused on where you stood, and mostly paragon has her spare Petrosky.Just did Omega which is a first time for me. Just started my 2nd playthrough of ME2 recently. Went to Omega and met with Aria at afterlife. Got poisoned by the Batarian bartender and ended up taking revenge by having a Turian shoot him(didn't want to make him drink the poison). Joined up as a freelancer to fight against Archangel with the mercenary groups. Found out that Archangel is actually Garrus. Helped him take down the Eclipse, Blood Pack and eventually the Blue Suns, although the gunship did cause some trouble for Garrus. But in the end, he managed to shrug it off as we got him back to the Normandy in time.
Feros. Definitely weird. Hopefully the only weird thing to happen. In the end Thorian ended up dead, Shiala alive, colony and colonists saved.
Council jumping at you whatever you do? Checked.
No time to waste - Noveria.
Opold's package turned out to be perfect way to get out of not so friendly Port Hanshan. Geth everywhere. And Benezia was there. And Rachni*. No one had time to deal with Rift Station's problems. Guns all the way. After dealing with Benezia, Rachni Queen was fred.
Council disconnected? Checked.
*The moment when everyone on the Normandy accepted that weird things just happens when you're part of this crew.
Lorraine Shepard and Jacob head toward the distress signal of the Gernsback in search for his long lost father. Lorraine wasn't sure that Jacob really wanted to know whatever dark truths lay hidden there. They unearthed the terrible setup that Jacob's father, Ronald Taylor, was doing there. Jacob was understandably livid at his father but in the end, he gave his dad what he felt was an honorable way to escape the horrors that were circling around him: a gun to put him out of his misery.
Jack had found the location of the facility that was used to experiment with her. Lorraine figured it was worth pursuing if only to shut up the crazed convict. What they thought would be an abandoned facility though turned out to have at least one occupant who was trying to restart the facility. The only way to get Jack to move forward was to erase all traces of the facility.
By the end of it, Shepard was dead tired.
After a short nap, Lorraine headed for Illium where she was "reunited" with some ME1 folks. First up was Conrad Verner. Conrad kept obsessively going on how Shepard was his idol and Lorraine had thought about putting a bullet on his foot. Instead, she just kneed him in the gut. Yeah, he asked for it.
Then, there's Gianna Parasini who was involved in another sting operation. Lorraine didn't want woman to know anything about the Collector mission, but she at least helped the undercover agent to catch a black market dealer.
Lorraine then went to help Miranda find Oriana. It's too bad Niket actually betrayed her. As painful it was to pull the trigger, Miranda had to. He deserved it. Finally, Oriana is safe. Well, until the Illusive Man meddles with her affairs in the future.
Lorraine thought she could finally rest after a very busy few days, but she found Jack and Miranda squabbling. Shepard kept calm and laid down the law to ease the tension. Phew! That was close...

Oh good. I wasn't looking forward to killing a bunch of people just to save her and Nyreen.
So that's one instance I can safely choose to do the good thing.
P.S. Got it.
I know it's silly but it's also fun. Renegade doesn't seem so renegade. *scratches head* Nyreen looked pretty sharp and I like her armor. Noticed she seems taller than the male turians and there's an odd male undertone when she speaks. Not certain if Aria was 'telling' Petrovsky something as he died or enjoying his pain whatever. It's sadistic.
Lorraine Shepard heads for Tuchanka. She is pleased to be reunited with Wrex. They go way back, even if I skipped ME1. ![]()
Without delay, she brought up Grunt's issues, hoping Wrex could figure out what to do with this engineered krogan. Wrex advises Grunt to take the rite of passage with the Urdnot Shaman. After killing the thresher maw, Gatatog Uvenk attempted to interfere with the rite. The traditionalist krogan refuses to accept a tank-bred krogan was about to be welcomed into clan Urdnot. He didn't make it out alive.
Then, Lorraine went deep into the krogan ruins searching for Maelon. Following the trail of dead bodies, Mordin surmises that live human experiments have been carried out. Finding out that Maelon was being kept in clan Weyrloc, Lorraine and Mordin blasted through and found Maelon but the circumstances were not what Mordin had presumed. Repulsed by what his apprentice had done, Mordin could do nothing else but shoot Maelon. Before Mordin could destroy the data, however, Shepard stepped in and rationalized that whatever the data was could be handy later on.
At the Normandy, Miranda felt compelled to pull Shepard aside and have a good heart-to-heart chat. Afterwards, Garrus spoke with Shepard about chasing Sidonis, the traitor who betrayed his team. Without hesitation, the crew head towards the Citadel.
The hunt for Sidonis leads Shepard and Garrus to the search for Harkins, the forger and old acquaintance. Harkins sets up Sidonis for the trap and Garrus executes with perfection.
Lorraine gets word of Tali being in trouble so she goes to Haestrom and is greeted by the scorching sun. In the chase to reach Tali, Shepard meets Kal'Reegar but the poor quarian didn't make it despite Shepard convincing him to stand down.

I don't think I've ever lost the colony. I never had it in me to just gun the colonists down, but I have done mixed runs (and run out of grenades before I found that box right when your enter the area with the ship. Somehow I always save enough where they are hopeful. I don't think I've ever murdered Shiala, even with my ******* Shepard, so that's probably it.

I lost the colony twice. Killed colonists three times. On my very first renegade pt I ended up convincing Jeong and finishing colony's quests, so somehow the colony survived without Shiala and colonists. The two times I lost the colony were with my Infiltrator, Zoe (actually my current run is with her again, but after my previous renegade pt with her, I felt like being nicer). She's my "do things that'll never happen in other pts" Shepard. Aka. "I'm serious, I'm not doing those things on purpose."

I don't remember what I did with Jeong on that one. A-hole Shepard is the one where I took Morinth and I laughed my ass off at Shepard's face when she fries his brain.
Lorraine Shepard and the Illusive Man discuss the opportunity to board a collector ship. The circumstances leading to this opportunity were suspicious to Shepard. Nonetheless, the opportunity presented was too important to pass up on. While on the Collector ship, Lorraine realized that the Collectors were originally the Protheans and were twisted by the Reapers to become slaves.
Lorraine and EDI mined for data in the Collector ship when they realized that all of this was an elaborate setup! Shepard and the crew descended into a frantic escape before the Collector ship powered up and annihilated the Normandy.
Slowly, but surely, the relationship between Lorraine and the Illusive Man was eroding.
