Completely fell off the bandwagon and got thrown right off my game for some unknown reason. Kept dying in the same place over and over again. And it wasn't even a difficult area.

Almost tempted to turn the difficulty down but that's never satisfying. Try again tomorrow.

Enjoy.

I'm playing an adept Shepard named after and who looks like Jean Grey. Seems fitting. She is a straight female, so when I got to the Sha'ira reward, I wasn't sure if I should pretend to enjoy her "gift of words" just to avoid the sex scene. Then I remembered that everyone is attracted to asari. Lol Still feels kind of trampy to get with a glorified asari prostitute.

Haven't you found it strange how Shepard can sleep with Shi'ara, yet seem completely ignorant about asari mating when talking with Liara later.

I have been there numerous times. Very frustrating. I can almost guarantee you will beat that part in the first or second try tomorrow, because that is just how it works most of the time.

From the journal of David Shepard:

Threw one hell of a party last night. Everyone turned up. We ate, we drank, we danced, we told crazy stories. It was wonderful. Someone drew on my face when I passed out (probably James). Most of woke up hungover and feeling like crap. Some were way to chipper for my liking -- James, I am looking at you! And frig your workout regimen Jacob!

Tali was very sick in the morning. Some dextro cheese, too much alcohol, and her exposure to a couple of times that day really did her in. I wish there was something I could do. She tells me she will be better tomorrow, which is good because tomorrow our shore leaves ends and we wage war against Cerberus Headquarters and then the Reapers. i wish I could ease the crew back into the war, but that is not how war works.

I doubt all of us will make it, and that makes me sad. Probably best that i don't think about it.

I know it is a rhetorical question, but I don't. Wrex kinda sucks.

I bring Wrex for his charm.

And the party was a splash. Everyone got royally drunk.

Going to do one more PT. Starting with ME2 using a recent ME1 PT. This PT has several negatives because there were details I couldn't change so people died, etc.

Today I finished ME3 again, but chose the reject solutions.  I still can't accept Bioware's crappy endings - the whole harvest organics and synthetics to keep order is a nonsensical, lame, and lazy ending.  I rejected all choices and sealed the fate of the Galaxy. Our turn is up, at least I was able to prevent the cycles repeating for future civilisations, until they create AI again anyway...

Unfortunately, I'm not really motivated to play ME1 again right away.  Normally I'm bursting to jump right into it, but the ending has particularly got to me this time.  It has disheartened me a little as all 4 options are so anti climatic. I still hate that freaking star brat.  If Reapers are merely tools, then why do they have such personal vendettas against Shephard...

I am going to be headed back here pretty soon after I finish up my current DAO playthrough.   My vanguard Kevin Shepard (my current avatar pic) that I made way back in December is still in ME 1 and I look forward to returning to his journey pretty soon.

Lorraine checked on Tali after having been acquitted of all charges.  Tali was visibly shaken still by her father's passing but was very much thankful for Shepard's involvement.

Spoiler

Shepard was pulled aside by Samara, asking for her aid in chasing the asari that escaped from Illium.  From the conversations, Shepard realized that the asari in question was Samara's own daughter.  Morinth was born as an Ardat-Yakshi, a terrible condition that turned Samara's own daughter into a wild, power hungry, killer.  Shepard and Samara went to the VIP section of Afterlife to lure Morinth into their trap.  Morinth's charm and seduction almost worked on Lorraine, but thankfully, Samara was there to put an end on a dangerous threat.

Spoiler

Shepard flew back to Illium to find the assassin.  From her inquisition, Shepard found out that the drell assassin, Thane, was after Nassana Dantius, the slime ball who hung around in the Citadel many years ago.  When they had found Thane, the deed was done.  Nassana perished under the hands of the crafty assassin.  Thane said a prayer before addressing Shepard and her concerns.

Spoiler

The Assassin did join Shepard, but not without telling her his desperate search for his son, Kolyat, an adventure that would lead Shepard back to the Citadel.  There, Lorraine did what she did best...

From the journal of David Shepard:

I'm tired, but it is a good tired. We assaulted Cerberus Headquarters today in an effort to recover the Prothean VI so we could determine the identity of the Catalyst so we can put an end to the Reapers once and for all. Cerberus put up a heck of a fight while they protected the station, but the Alliance fleet managed to punch a hole through their defenses and Cortex flew us in on the shuttle.

Once inside, we made our way down towards the central chamber where they would be keeping the Prothean VI. Along the way we discovered the reason why Cerberus had so many troops in this war: they were implanting captured civilians with Reaper-based nanotech to create troops. Seems Sanctuary was more than just a husk factory; some of the datapads at Grissom Academy even hinted at some of this stuff but I had no idea it went this deep.

I also learned that EDI was that Rogue VI on Luna all those years ago. And yet somehow we managed to becomes friends. Weird. And the Illusive Man was playing me all along when he rebuilt me in Project Lazarus, deliberately assigning sympathetic figures on my crew to keep me appeased. That kind of backfired on him though.

The Illusive Man was also planning to undergo some sort of surgery as well, probably more nanotech. Dude still thinks he can control the Reapers. I know the guy is indoctrinated but i think he may be insane as well. And he was using the remains of the Reaper Larvae i destroyed for his own purposes. Gee whiz.

And when we finally found the Prothean VI, it told us that the Catalyst was the Citadel! and that the Illusive Man had moved it to Earth. Yes, he is definitely insane. And the Kai Leng showed up, determined to finally kill me. He put up a bit of a fight, but we took him down rather quickly. I finished him off by stabbing him with my Omni Blade. He is not so tough without his gunship. No that he was actually tough even with his gunship.

With Cerberus destroyed, we have on final objective: get to Earth and destroy the Reapers. That's going to be a lot harder than taking down Cerberus though. Hopefully the Crucible works.

I just finished Bring Down the Sky and I begrudgingly made a choice I never did in what must be around a dozen playthroughs: I let Balak go. That might be one of the last big moral choices I finally took. The only other I can think of that I have not done is sabotage the genophage cure with Wrex in charge. Normally I Virmire him.

So last night I decided to fire up ME 1 and continue Kevin's playthrough.  Always weird trying to get one's bearings after being away for a long time.  Good news is that I am further along in the game than I realized.  Also realized I am a bit rusty.  Anywho I did the Wrex's family armor quest and anyone else notice that Tonn Actus and his merc goons seem to go down tougher than most ME 1 merc groups?  Those guys love their shotguns and immunity.  Always a suprisingly tough fight.  Had to revive Wrex and Tali three times before I finished the fight.

Well, I finished ME2. At least that part I wanted to finish. Small summary:

- including previously mentioned Kasumi's and Zaeed's loyalty missions, I did 6 of them

  - Garrus let Sidonis go

  - Jack let Aresh live

  - Mordin destroyed the data

  - Legion destroyed the heretics

- got all upgrades before going through Omega 4 Relay

- rescued half of my crew

- got half of my squad killed (all non-loyal squadmates)

  - Tali in the vents

  - Thane carried away by the swarm

  - Jacob as second fire team leader

  - Grund after escorting the crew

  - Miranda and Samara after human-Reaper fight

- destroyed the base

- finished Arrival

Conclusion after this pt: either safe whole crew or kill whole crew. I felt guilty after saving half of them and listening to their comments back on the Normandy.

I got Legion before recruiting people from post-Horizon dossiers, so I had occasion to take it with me.

Lorraine Shepard dug up as much as she could about Thane's son, Kolyat, and his assassination contract details.  She shook the Citadel hard with her fists and aggression to know that Kolyat was targeting a political candidate.  The two moved swiftly to track down the target and protect him from the hired gun.  Together, they managed to keep Kolyat from becoming a killer.  For Shepard, she wasn't particularly attached to the boy.  She just wanted to make sure Thane could function when they hit the Omega 4 Relay.

Spoiler

The next mission was linked to what they managed to unearth during the Collector Ship ambush.  To get to the Omega 4 Relay they needed to find the Reaper IFF.  The Illusive Man notified Shepard of the Derelict Reaper.  Hopefully, they would be able to retrieve the device and get out without much resistance.  The ship though was crawling with Reapers and husks, the remnants of the Cerberus scientists that attempted to study about the nature of the Reapers as well as their indoctrination powers.  During the operation, they had come across a geth unit that bore Shepard's armor.  It soon fell prey to the numerous husks before Shepard could come to clear the threat.  A debate between the team ensued over the risks of bringing a fully intact geth unit aboard the Normandy, but Shepard did love rare toys...

Spoiler

The geth was reactivated once the crew made it back to the Normandy.  Lorraine attempted to understand the mysteries surrounding the unexpected help.  Apparently, the geth faction had been split into two, one that followed the Reapers and the other remained independent.  Shepard wasn't convinced of this hypothesis and made it known to her toy that at the first instance of insurrection, she was going to terminate it.  The geth unit agreed to her terms and was minted the name Legion.

Spoiler

Legion did not hesitate to inform Shepard of a matter of most importance surrounding the geth.  Shepard could feel that it would involve a lot of dead robots.  How could she not refuse such an offer?

Missed ME a little too much lately, so I stopped playing my second Uncharted 4 playthrough at least for today and decided to do a little bit of Vega's dialogue again  :D I finished up the Geth Dreadnought, both Garrus and Ash were still missing. As usual, here they are if you're interested to watch ;) Unfortunately, Ash does not have the dialogue about slavery vs. destruction with James, boo (but maybe it was bugged, don't know).

Spoiler

I loved that one line of James when paired with Garrus: "Geth. Reapers. Same sh*t, different pile."

I likely will finally continue my playthrough on the weekend. I hope I remember the controls better than today, I was a little too used to Uncharted's controls and kept hitting wrong buttons sometimes

Disabled the probe that had a nuke built in and then killed Elanos Haliat and his goons.  I always wondered if that guy was originally meant to be Turian or something.  I hate disarming that bomb.

Just finishing up David Shepard's trilogy playthrough. Landed on Earth, destroyed a Hades Cannon, walked through No Man's Land, launched some missiles (after dying a few times trying to get to the last button), ran to a beam, shot some husks and a Marauder, killed The Illusive Man.

In the process of talking to the Catalyst/Intelligence/Starbrat and will choose Destroy. I was thinking of refusing, but decided against it. Thought about choosing synthesis, but with the Geth dead, who cares?

(No journal entry from David because he is kind of going to be dead.)

Started the new ME 2 PT run. This time, I grabbed Mordin first so I popped him into Shep's party to grab Garrus. I also equipped Shep with the Blackstorm for the first time and used it on the pesky vorcha and krogan in the run to close off the breached passages. Boom! I was gratified by the explosion when the field collapsed. It threw back a fresh wave of mobs just in time to close the shutters.

Had a hilarious view during the cutscene with Garrus because I forgot to "pull" Mordin away. So the salarian was half clipped into Garrus, his head and eyes moving to look at the turian when he talked. It's like Garrus had an alien twin grown into his chest. Creepy. :P

Not much, really. Just played ME3 MP mode in order to return to 100% . But most of the times I play on silver or even bronze nowadays so I can have no worries and turn off the sound while I listen to audiobooks.

This week I was finally able to install the collection of mods for ME2 from http://www.nexusmods...fect2/mods/68/?

It seems to be working nicely. Maybe I´ll try the ME3 version too depending on how well the ME2 performs.

I should start a trilogy run quite soon. 2, actually. It´s been ages since I last played as an infiltrator or as an adept, so I think I will try class trilogy runs for all six shepards. 3 males and 3 females. I´m still thinking on the details for each one, but considering it takes me about a month to do a full trilogy run this experiment with the classes should take me 5 to 6 months. .
