finished an engineer which was started like over a year ago.

cryo blast and overload most of the time. Occasional useless Drone , used a useless pistol also  ( Executioner or Carnifex ) .

in Anderson's apartment i bought the posh sofa but when coming back to it it was gone :(  , gone from the living room, from my inventory and from the store too. Maybe Harrot stole it for Aria. I want my posh sofa.

I've been playing Stellaris with ME races modded in. There's work being done on a Mass Effect total conversion, once it's done my dream of playing a MEU 4x game will be realized! The base game is quite suited to the MEU, it's even got extra galactic end game invaders that could easily be modded into Reapers. Anyone into space grand strategy should check it out.

I've the game but I'm RP another race from a SF series.  :D  It'd be cool with ME mods. Do the Reapers behave like ME-Reapers or just a hostile race?

No implemented Reapers yet, just a plan for now. The total conversion isn't ready yet, just playing with some ME races in the base game for now. I would imagine the Reapers will take the place of the Unbidden late game crisis, but we'll see.

Started playing ME1 with my canon (again). I'm not far in game, Shepard just became a Spectre.

By accident (seriously, I was checking armor types) I learned a "trick" to make any character wear any armor. Oh, Sentinel in medium gear... That's what was missing (imo) in first game. And now it's perfect

I thought everyone knew that trick? The one where you press to convert to omni gel and equip at nearly the same time, right? Yeah. I always use it. My rule is to keep things canon, and the canon is that Shepard wore N7 heavy armor in ME1. So I use the glitch to make all my Shepard's wear that, regardless of class. Sentinel, adapt, doesn't matter, all wear N7 heavy. Makes the game harder than it should be at times since it's such crap armor, but oh well. It's easy enough to keep alive if you play and leveled right.

Anyone who wants to do it, look it up yourself. I can't explain how to do it well, but there's videos and stuff to show you how. Basically, press Y and A on the armor upgrade screen and nearly the same time so you don't actually convert the upgrade to omni gel, then select the upgrade that occupies the same space that the armor does on the actual armor page. You'll then equip it. It has other uses too. Want Tali to wear heavy Colossus armor but prefer her default outfit's colors? Well, she glitches when you put heavy armor on her, and the glitch is that she ends up looking like she's wearing her default hydra armor even when wearing something else. Oh, and did you know Garrus was actually programmed with medium and heavy armor models but simply can't put them on because he lacks the armor talent? This exploit lets you put him in medium and heavy armor, and the armors are fully detailed and rendered just fine. I do this for canon too, since he's shown to be wearing heavy armor in ME2 and ME3. I really enjoy this exploit.

Today Kevin took out some Geth outposts in the Armstrong Nebula and then let Tali take a copy of some of the data he recovered on the Geth.  Going to do Noveria tonight and if I am up to it I will do the endgame and import into ME 2.   Ahh looking forward to charging again.  Don't know if I will make him a claymore vangard or if I want to pick up the Mattock.  Oh well that won't be until later in the game anyway.  Looking forward to the evicerator in the time being.

Well did Noveria tonight and spared the queen.   Also started the end game and let Anderson punch Udina but decided to hold off finishing the game until tomorrow.  Getting sleepy and since I like to import and start ME 2 literally right after I finish my ME 1 playthroughs I want to do that when I have energy.

Try putting light armour on Wrex...the result is...quite odd.

So this afternoon Kevin toured the new Normandy and then went to Omega and picked up Mordin.  I think I am leaning toward making Kevin a Claymore Vanguard when the time comes.  As much as I like the Mattock the Locust is more than capable at dealing with stuff at range and what kind of wannabe Krogan would I be if I didn't wield the Claymore?  Thoughts?

Oh, I have. You're right, his model goes f*cked. Unlike Garrus who actually does have finished modeling for heavy armors, Wrex was never intended to wear heavy armor. I mean, neither was Tali. But while Tali simply reverts to her default Hydra attire when put into heavy or medium armor, Wrex's model just completely warps itself into something hideous when put into light armor. Someone who is able should post a pic of it, since I don't know how to post screencaps on the 360.

I went a different route this time with the way I recruited everyone in the second half and completing loyalty missions. Thane and Legion were last.

Sparks helped Miranda relocate her sister. She also watched her killed Niket(first time I let that happen but she is loyal). Watched Miranda show actual emotion other than the general "i got this" attitude which she found fascinating. I think this nerd has developed a crush on her for reasons beyond my understanding. That inquisitive nature gone get Sparks feelings hurt.

Recruited Samara and Sparks doesn't really know how to take her. She felt Samara deserves some sort of reverance but is not certain of how it should go...especially since she'd already bowed at Sparks feet...no, that wasn't awkward at all.

Shortly after recruiting other best bud Tali, Sparks was told the Migrant Fleet was charging Tali with treason...Sparks laughed at first because she thought she was joking...until Tali said "I'm scared, Sparks"...and then she was sure the quarians had officially lost it. How the hell could they charge Tali with something that outlandish? As soon as this business with Jacob and investigating the Hugo Gernsback is done, we're going there. It bothered Sparks immensely and she can only imagine the crazy scenarios going off in Tali's head.

Did Jack's loyalty mission before that and Cerebus further confirmed for evil tier infinitely status. They had children...CHILDREN being experimented on for trying to create some super biotic nonsense. I type again: CHILDREN. She understood Jack a bit more after that mission...and then had to break up a cat fight between Jack and Miranda. She was going to tell them to f*** and get it over with...but that wasn't the time for jokes...told them to save that aggression for the Collectors. They agreed...and as a way to show them how important everyone is to each other on that ship, she took them on the last two missions together. Sparks for self destruct tier confirmed.

Liara and Sparks haven't really talked...Liara made it clear that she couldn't come with her...it came across more harshly than Sparks expected. And for now that's where they are...this weird mutual agreement to handle business and deal with the personal later. Later may have to come sooner...Sparks head needs to be on straight, too.

Sparks named her combat drone Three Six Zero. Guess who that pays homage to? NERDDDDDD!!

Gonna load up soon and finish leviathan. Do Thessia (Hehe ZipZap does Thessia) and then load the party after Miranda dies.

Which is where I will end the play through. I think the soundtrack for the final scene is called

"Goodbye and into the inevitable"?

Just seems fitting to let Shep do it his way. I like this Shepard and will restart from an ME2 save, this time with everyone alive.

From Killing Wrex, to Padok Wiks humour and watching Ra'an cap herself. This run has felt fresh as anything and really helped recapture that ME3 feel.

I will not ruin it with the catalyst.

So, during the week I had a few problems with my Origin Client. I updated the program and sadly the new version decided to disregard my previous settings (like ignoring auto-updates). It ended up doing updates of its own to ME1 (I have no idea what it did to it) and ME2 (it installed the genesis comic book which I usually don´t use). So I decided to do clean installs of both games and then re-apply all the mods I have.

I do live in the southern hemisphere and it´s very cold in my city, something I totally despise. I have no desire to leave the comfort of my cozy home during weekends unless I really need to for the next 4 months or so.

I just did a run of ME1 with Miriam Shepard, a blue-eyed blonde, female engineer war hero that was raised on space. She was a full paragon, who did all the missions aside from pinnacle station, the renegade one and the collectibles. She did, however, collect ten asari writings in order to save her number one fan, even though she finds him a little awkward (in a totally harmless and funny way).

Along the journey she was friendly to anyone, was always most kind to her crew, attempted to save as many as possible and avoid fights.

It took me around 17 hours across 3 nights (fueled by almost four litters of hot chocolate) to complete the mission. The council was enormously grateful, and her mentor, now the first human Councilor, was very proud.

Miriam did not romance anyone, and played first with Tali and Ashley, and later on with Liara and Ashley. She only used Garrus in order to confront the Salarian butcher and Wrex when it was time to retrieve his armor. And of course, the mandatory initial acts with Kaidan. Kaidan died defending the nuke on virmire.

As an Engineer, she was mostly doing support work. Ashley was the real star of the show, alternating between Assault Rifles, Shotguns and Sniper (with explosive rounds) according to the type and quantity of enemies. Liara the biotic was providing crowd control, while Miriam, an Engineer with Sniper Riffles available was mostly weakening enemies and engaging targets at opportunity, almost always from safe distances. Many people complain that engineers in ME1 are boring, but the build I used along with the squad-composition made this an interesting experience.

The intentions for the trilogy run are:

1-She will be an Engineer who never manipulates enemies. Never uses AI hacking nor utilizes dominate as bonus. While I love these powers, they can make shepard look lazy and too dependent on them. For this run, I will not use them. This will be an enginner focused purelly on debuff opponents, distract them with drones and illusions. I can´t wait to use her on arrival (me2) and omega in me3.

2-She will only play with female squad-mates, unless the game requires her to team-up with males (like during loyalty missions). Mono-gendered asari are treated as females.

3-Her primary friend in ME2 will be Miranda. Followed by Kasumi as soon as the ship becomes available. The kassa-locust smg (no engineer should be without one) is the third squadmate. Imagine 3 deadly assassins wearing black and armed with smgs. With 3 overloads in succession even a geth prime will be a piece of cake.

4-No biotic powers. Energy drain is the bonus in ME2.

5-Samara will be the pseudo-romance in ME2, and carry over to ME3. I have never seen the citadel and ME3 content for Samara if shepard tried to seduce her in ME2, so now it´s my chance.  This built and this trilogy run were centered around this idea.

I just finished meeting joker again after two years and discovering that thanks to cerberus the normandy is also back from the dead.

Next, time to know the ship and crew, recruit a master thief, visit a dear old friend at the citadel, do some shopping, help the thief on a heist, claim my KL smg and then head to Omega.

I have been binging on capn233's Mass Effect 3 Let's Play. He finished it about a week ago but I was already way behind by the time I had started watching it. I saw the trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda. Nothing really new since the announcement trailer, so I remain emotionally neutral; probably for the best.

I am itching to get back into playing Mass Effect, but I want to finish watching capn233's Let's Play first, which will probably take me another two weeks. I have been playing a bit of Mass Effect 3 here and there. I started two new NG+ games in Mass Effect 3 just because I had planned to do it at some point, and I will be touching those on-and-off over time. Occasionally I play an old ME3 save just to have some fun or tinker with a build idea.

I didn't get on too warm with Kelly iin ME2. Maybe Shep forgot to hug her when she talked about her Collector experience. So I used the GE to put her back in because I want to get the fish. :D

Shep ran some errands for Aria. Decided to do Omega after the allied meeting and getting krogan onboard.

I didn't see the MEA trailer. I consider Mass Effect Andromeda as an Alternate Universe, nothing to do with the "real" ME we all know. I did see an image of an asari. Ugliest image I've ever seen. Can't even tell if it's male or female. I say that because I read comments about eyebrows and we all know asari have no eyebrows. If they're making changes to the asari, judging from the image, I seriously doubt I'm going to like it. Adding eyebrows just to facilitate facial expressions is lame imo, if that's what they're trying to do. Asari are aliens, not humans. If it's a makeover, even worse. If they're trying to say that's what comes from a human + asari, they just threw out some of the lore. Of course, it can be argued MEA is AU, it's not the real ME.

In any case, the faint interest in MEA I have just dropped to zero. :D

I'm going by the posts in the MEA forum. They're saying it's not the Liara type stenciled on "eyebrows". It's human-like eyebrows (hair). I'm going to look at that trailer now. I only saw the still image of the new asari.

P.S. They're right. It's not stenciled/tattooed like Liara's, they look like hairy eyebrows. Still the asari in the trailer is ugly odd looking. I'm not saying they all should all look beautiful. Aethyta, Rana Thanoptis, even Aria, don't look drop dead gorgeous but they are asari. The new one just doesn't strike me as right. For all I know it could be a human dressing up as an asari to play a joke on his/her mates. But if it's not. *shudder* And the trailer. The emphasis on humanity and exploration to make a new home. Yeah, whatever. Anyways, end to this subject. It's OT in this thread.

I know, I've seen it. I'm willing to wait. It could be placeholder, it could have a good lore explanation, it could actually somehow not be an Asari despite looking so similar... It could be anything. That one single thing isn't nearly enough to somehow deflate my hype like it did to yours.

Together with Legion Liara, Ash and I made our way to this geth server Legion has told us about. In order to shut down that place Legion told me in the shuttle that I would have to enter the geth consensus... that's kinda crazy! Legion told me about a Cerberus research project on geth-human interfaces. Well yeah, what could possibly go wrong when Cerberus is involved...

But anyway, we arrived at the server and I entered the virtual geth world. Pretty weird, but I also learned more about the quarian-geth history... got some new insights. The geth actually looked pretty innocent in all this. Hard to imagine, having fought them for some time now. But Legion is different, too.

In the end, all that mattered though is that we were successful in shutting down the server and that the quarians could drive the geth back. The liveships were safe.

Then suddenly some geth surrounded us, big ones... the primes. I was ready to fire, but Legion explained they wished to join us, that it had tried to persuade them to fight on our side. Can't believe all this is happening. Legion hid this little stunt from me, but I kinda understand why it did. I don't want to think about had it gone wrong, but all's good for now. We have more assistance against the Reapers and I hope this damn war can be put aside soon. We have a bigger threat to focus on.

With this out of the way we approached the location of the downed Admiral Koris to get him back to the civilian fleet. We met some geth resistance as we tried to disable the AA guns the geth were using to keep intruders away from their jamming tower. Didn't help them though. We were able to shut them all down, and with this, Steve could hit the jamming tower. The signal that had prevented us from finding Koris was finally gone. I contacted him, but he was reluctant to join us at first, wanted us to save his crew instead of him. He eventually saw reason when I insisted we'd need him if we want to make this truce happen. We picked him up and returned to the Normandy. I'm gonna get some rest now. Severing the remaining geth from the Reaper influence is up next...

Some pictures:

Spoiler

Weeeell, I died during the Koris mission  Got flanked... The last AA gun fight was quite tough (I don't use the turret) and I completely lost track of that one f*cker when I was trying to snipe the Pyros. Here I really missed Tali's hacking  Almost done with the Rannoch arc, which means I soon have my run-in with Wrex at the Citadel, heh. Also not looking forward to the 3 Primes, ugh. I'm probably gonna die a lot this time :D

It's not a good thing to be a regular at ME3 MP.  Because I keep getting the skills all messed up.

In SP there is no quick shield restoration like in MP so I keep hitting the #6 key, thinking it will restore shields. It does not, of course. So sometimes I was befuddled; why it wasn't working until I remember I'm in SP. :D

Rescued Eve from Sur'Kesh. I didn't try irritating the scientist to get the feces remark.  Also got doubled number of clothing and armor because I used the GE. I'm afraid I don't understand the underwear thing for casual wear. Is there a point to it? I didn't see some of the armor designs the last time I play. There's one from Hackett, can't remember the name but it looked too bulky. Never used any of the armor sets in the end; I need to boost skills, not look nice.

Got the scanning of planetary systems down to a quick system of save, scurry like a mad hamster, locate the stuff, reload and try to hit all of it. The Reapers seemed to notice.  :P  They didn't react so madly on second attempts; they knew they can't catch the Normandy.

You can scan, pick up some stuff, exit the system, then re-enter the system and pick up the stuff you missed.

When you enter a system, you will enter from the location you are facing, so if you are facing right in the cluster view, your ship will enter the system from the left. So you can scan, exit the system, then turn the ship around to face the location where you want to enter, then re-enter the system to pick up the scanned items.

The game also auto-saves a lot whenever you enter and exit a system, so even if the Reapers catch you the autosave will put you back in that system with no consequence.

Basically, the Reapers on the map mini-game is a minor annoyance instead of any real hazard.
