Basically, the Reapers on the map mini-game is a minor annoyance instead of any real hazard.

Sometimes the Reaper drums get stuck on a loop and they stop being a minor annoyance. :D

Visited Omega, did everything I could while there.

Played some poker and won with 2 engineers.

After Omega, visited a place with 20 crates and claimed all 20. On the way back, I recruited Jack. This triggered the collector attack on Horizon. Meet Ashley and became disappointed with her reaction.

Just arrived on Illium. Next, will do all the local side-quest and some shopping, and then Shadow Broker. Will try to do it sooner so I can get as many upgrades from Liara´s base as possible by the end.

I went back to my first play-through the Mass Effect series. I had a relapse of BnS, but I think I am over it. BnS is the only non-BioWARE/Obsidian game I have played, and tbh it was not worth it.

Mass Effect graphics is obviously darker & an earlier generation. The gameplay is way awkward for me, particularly after BnS with its smooth combat. Other than that, everything else is light years above and beyond any kind of comparison.

I left my play-through on Citadel back in May, after completing the first 2 out of the 3 starter planets. So, I’ve finished a couple of mini-quests (and finally found out what's the deal with scanning the Keepers is), and ventured to Noveria.

Swapped out Garrus for Liara, so of course will be missing Wrex and Garrus. Always hard to make choices between the four companions I like.

Of course, the first thing I had to do was to drive Mako, since I have handled the situation in the corporate offices back in May, before I got spooked from the planet by the rumors that the battle with the matriarch is way too tough.

Luckily, Noveria stretch is not as hard as the one on Ferris, so I have managed, even if I had to attack while driving the neurotic tank backwards sometimes. But with Mako, whatever works, it doesn’t have to be pretty, logical or cool. I am just ever so happy when I can get out of it.

I had time to start fixing up the assorted equipment at Peak 15, seeing that nothing ever functions in this ‘verse till Shepard comes along. I got kicks of seeing the Tower of Hanoi puzzle there, being a veteran of many a Karagga’s Palace raids, and having had re-assembled that thing under fire. Ah, Bio loves its puzzles!

This is an import without Jack ( guess she died beyond the Omega Relay) .  First time i use that import and i got to hear "new lines" after 5 years !!!!!!

just how awesome is THAT!?!

That poor little Biotic guy got shot on the way out ... well at least he won't turn into a husk.

Shep got flattened by the reaper destroyer on Tuchaka. Why did she ever listen to Wrex? :D

Spoiler

Took me a couple of attempts to dodge the dang brutes and skipping to the side to avoid the legs of the reaper and some mad running.

Just finished Virmire, Liara is glitched as hell. First time ever, out of dozens of playthroughs. She's stuck in her Normandy lab outfit instead of armor, and trying to equip armor freezes the game and forces a reset. It even reflects on gameplay, she LITERALLY doesn't have any shielding since she's stuck in civilian clothes. It's a damn good thing I didn't plan on bringing her to the final stages anyway, or I'd be ticked. As it is, this is still really annoying. I don't even know how it happened. It seems to be a glitch that is just about completely unknown, but one other person got the bug with Tali (which I found through Google).

http://www.gamefaqs....effect/69492281

So I don't know how it happened, which means I don't know how to prevent it on future playthroughs. At least I'm positive it will fix itself on the next go-around with this character, since party members enter the party with set gear.

All of this Andromeda talk has been fun but all Kevin Shepard cares about is taking care of business in the Milky Way so today he saved workers who were held hostage in a refinery by Blue Suns mercenaries, Shepard "persuaded" Zaeed to put the mission in front of personal revenge.  Then he flew one system over and picked up the Hammerhead and thought it was a fun ground vehicle.  Then he helped Kasumi steal the graybox from Donavon Hock and allowed her to keep the graybox.  He hopes she knows what she is doing.  Then last but not least he fought through more Blue Suns mercs on Korlus in order to get to a Krogan Warlord who had been breeding tank bred Krogan using collector tech.  Okeer didn't survive but Kevin and company did manage to salvage a tank bred Krogan and persuaded the Krogan to fight along side the Normandy crew.

Today, Shepard won an apartment on a bet, convinced Saren to shoot himself in the head, convinced the Council to make Captain Anderson the first human Citadel councilor (Udina betrayed me so no way I'd choose him), and died because Joker wouldn't abandon ship.  Then he woke up in a lot of pain and killed a mech at the direction of a sexy voice.

-snip-

Brooks is never your squadmate.

Also, all alive at the time of ME3 squadmates (past and present - you need to meet them in ME3) can be part of Shepard's squad in Armax Arsenal Arena in Citadel DLC.

I am playing ARNOLD Shepard (who looks just like Arnold Schwarzenegger), a 100% renegade who basically is Saren 2.0 in ruthlessness. He also tries to get with every woman he can.

This was the first playthrough I ever got Gianna killed by ratting her out.

Up until Virmire, I had managed to have only 1 paragon point by giving Tali the geth data with a full renegade bar. Problem now is that helping Kirahee by destroying geth defenses earns more paragon, which I do not want. I do not know if I should just avoid those areas to be intentionally incompetent or not.

My intrepid Shepard fixed everything that was broken in Peak 15, and boarded a tram (with a sigh of relief, I might add)  for the Rift Station. I was a bit disappointed in tram animation, as I expected the same awesomeness as Corellia's trams. I really hope that after the planetary sequence I can just return to Normandy rather than pick Mako up where I left it.

Loved the characters on Rift, the asari scientist was super-funny, and choala (?) survivor equally poignant... and I ran out of time so fast! Can't wait to dive in again.

In game-play, I still have a hard time adapting to how close the enemies spawn and how fast they close on the char, so I end up shamefully backpedaling and spamming LMB rather than actually pausing and fighting. I can't get used to pause being a part of the gameplay again. And, well, since everything is getting one-shotted, I would have switched to normal difficulty from casual setting, but I am concerned about Benezia's difficulty.

Oh, whoever posted a thread on Film Grain is my hero forever. I've unclicked it, and the game looks soooo much better now, much less dark and dirty. :)

Finished ME1. I didn't touch most of the side quests, since the only purpose of this pt was to get to lvl60 and get all armors/weapons/upgrades I want for next, full pt.

For the first time, I went to deal with the Hot Labs problem before entering Rift Station. That didn't end well. I was fully aware what'll happen, but suddenly wanted to see it.

Oh boy, Emily Wong became a ghost.

Spoiler

Besides playing ME1, I was following (and keep following) all new info about MEA. Maybe what we got on EA Play was little, but I liked what I saw.

SWTOR came after ME1 and it's a mmorpg so the Corellian tramlines have to be more developed. :D

You can avoid them until Kirahee dies, then go back and do them for the XP (I forget the first thing, destroy Satellite, destroy Drones), then set off the alarms.

Recruited a crazy biotic named Jack and then Kevin stopped the Collectors on Horizon and for his effort he got yelled at by Alenko.  Oh well being that he is the reasonable sort Kaidan will come around eventually.  Also died a few times on Horizon.  Playing as a vanguard on hardcore.  Must be a little rusty.

Well, XP isn't the issue. It is whether being competent and saving Kirahee is worth getting paragon points. ARNOLD avoids them like the plague.

It is funny how things still work out when I try to mess them up with ruthlessness. I ended up destroying the geth defenses, but set off alarms on the other side of the base and Kirahee still lived. Earlier, I went into Feros expecting to lose the colony. I did none of the side quests to help the colony (they weren't part of ARNOLD's mission), killed every colonist, killed Shiala, and the colony still survived ...all because I threatened to kill Jeoung if he did not help the colony; even though I could not be bothered to help them myself. Lol

Picked up Jacob.  If femShep romanced Jacob, he threw her over without a thought. He's in love with Brynn who's also in love with him but her affection is apparently not enough for her to go to him when he's clearly injured. Instead she stood at the door mouthing her worry. Not even a hug of relief when he came up to her, didn't even try to support him when he hobbled away.  They're really suited to each other.

Anyway, lining up for a Omega run. :D

OT. Saw Dishonored 2 available for pre-order. Grabbed it immediately. I played the first and I liked it. Impressed that the story is continued and that a female protag is available. This is the second game I've been looking forward to this year, RotTR was the first.. DFC will be completed on Friday with the last installment. Think that's it for this year. Next year. No title caught my eye yet.

That's one of the things that annoys me about the series. Renegade is quite often displayed as incompetent rather than ruthless.

Personally speaking I'd weather the paragon points. After all it's not Arnold's fault if people want to see him in a heroic light rather than as the bastard that he is.

Got a lot done today but sorry folks no pics.  First Kevin went to Illium where he helped Miranda protect her sister, and then he recruited Samara for the team.  Then he helped Jacob investigate the distress call that came from the ship that his father was first officer and that was a whole another mess.  Long story short Mr Taylor is going to be doing some time.  Then for old times sake he blew up some geth including a colossus and recruited Tali for the squad.

In ME2 now and ARNOLD Shepard really looks like the Terminator with those scars and red eyes. Despite that, he is still a babe magnet as Liara, Tali, Kelly, Miranda, Jack, and Morinth all want him. And he has got enough game to get with all of them, although he will have to settle for a kiss with Miranda and ending up dead after Morinth. Lol

Oh, boy, I did not realize just how close I was to fighting Benezia! So, I just wandered through a  few hallways trying to sort out which lab was quarantined, which one was secure and which one was hot, and BOOM! I was fighting Benezia! Good thing I did not switch the difficulty.

And... that was it, 'cause summer-time, and garden. You should see my peonies.... erm, other life.

Going to read through the Journal and see what's next, and hopefully spend more than 20 min on the game.
