On Insanity, I let Kal'Reeger shoot the Geth Armature, and was FINALLY able to save him!

Didn't even know this was possible...

All you do is, take off the pressure of the Geth by going down the middle. You know the harder ones for a injured party.

My head was still spinning after my date with Miranda on the presidium. It made me an easy target for Dr. Bryson, who cornered me and wouldn't leave until I heard him out. I had to admit I was intrigued by his crazy theories, so  with a sigh, I hopped into his skycar.

Back at the lab, Bryson asked me to autograph the chunk of Sovereign he'd acquired after the battle of the citadel, so I did: Think you found your reaper killer, Doc. You stay classy, Shep. Suddenly as we were chatting, Bryson's assistant, Hadley, pulled out a gun and shot the doctor in the chest. I subdued him and called C-sec.

"It was horrible!" exclaimed Hadley. "Long hours, low pay, and an utterly miserable experience on this wild goose chase. I couldn't take it anymore. It's always so damn cold in here, and dark!" Then he passed out. Uhh, okay then. Bryson didn't really seem that bad to me, but then I didn't work for him. EDI arrived, concerned for my safety. I think she just wanted to get away from Joker for awhile, but it was none of my business.

"C'mon, EDI," I said, "the game is afoot." She proved adept at playing detective, and tracked down another of Bryson's employees while I played Galaxy of Fantasy with the C-Sec guys. I hoped this employee was a little more stable than the last, but I had a bad feeling about it.

Leviathan, part one: The Discovery.

We were headed for a Tungsten mine out in the Caleston Rift. The rest of the squad were beginning to grumble whenever we had a mission briefing. I hadn't realized I told Garrus and James to report to the shuttle bay every time. Oops. I knew I was going to have to take one of the others on an away mission before someone fed Garrus some non-dextro cheeze or something. But not today.

It seemed the reapers had arrived before us and gave us a bit of a fight before we got inside the T-GES facility. Damn, first Cerberus, now the reapers. Maybe that 'mech dog was a spy. I had to remember not to say that out loud around Gabby. The place was pretty creepy. Everyone kept staring at us and telling us to go away. At the reception desk, they asked if I was familiar with all the applications of Tungsten. I had to admit I wasn't and said I'd like the tour. Seemed like an easy way to look around, but they didn't fall for it.

Eventually we found Garneau in the medbay, but he ran away from us and sabotaged the elevator to the mine. Of course, we had to go back outside to make the repairs, where the reapers were waiting for us. Crap. Always have to do things the hard way. We were doing well against them until Marauder Shields arrived on an upper balcony and flanked me. I made a note to talk to Garrus about finding the high ground before the enemy since he had the damn sniper rifle. None of us could get a decent shot at Shields in time, and he wiped me out.

On the second attempt I found a better hiding spot and sent a drone after Shields to keep him from ducking behind cover so Garrus could snipe him. He cursed me before he breathed his last --  or whatever it is reapers do -- and promised to return. I knew I hadn't seen the last of him. We were all even at two apiece, and the tie-breaker was still to come.

Garneau blew himself up when we caught up to him. What the hell is wrong with the people who work for Bryson? Is there something in the water in his lab or what? We went back to Lab to look for some other way to find this 'reaper killer'. Number of reloads: 1.

Leviathan, part two: The Rescue.

EDI was still hanging out at Bryson's Lab. She discovered his daughter, Ann, was on an archaeological dig in the Pylos Nebula. James, Garrus and I landed in a hornet's nest of reapers attacking the science team in force. Perhaps there was something to this reaper-killer after all. I wished I'd paid more attention to Bryson when I had the chance.

It was slow progress through the wreckage of the dig site. Under constant fire, we killed about a million husks, cannibals and ravagers with only minor difficulty... until a harvester popped up out of nowhere and blasted me when I thought the coast was clear. Crap.

We had to repair a bridge to get to a blocked elevator in order to reach Ann Bryson, and this time Garrus didn't give James a chance to practice his technical skills. James and I held off the attacking reapers thanks to an array of explosive barrels thoughtfully laid out at strategic points all over the area, and we eventually rescued the good doctor and got off-planet. Number of reloads: 1.

Priority: Rannoch.

Back on the ship, the admirals were getting a little nervous about leaving Gerrel alone in command of the fleets all this time, and I had to admit they had a point. He couldn't be trusted to keep the quarians safe, and since Ann asked for some time alone before continuing our search for Leviathan, I decided I better finish cleaning up the quarians' mess.

With Javik's help, Tali threw all James' gear out the airlock so he couldn't go on the next mission. I knew she'd insist, so I'd planned on taking her this time anyway, but I didn't tell her that. I made her promise to let me see her face when we succeeded, and she agreed.

Rannoch was even prettier in the daylight, and Tali was overwhelmed. I needed to get her focused on the mission again, so I showed her my disappearing rock trick. It seemed to have worked and we got to business. The geth threw everything they had at us to prevent us disabling the reaper signal once and for all, but they were no match for all the drones and turrets and hacks (and sniper rifle bullets, coughed Garrus). We ascended the final elevator to the rooftoop, and walked straight into a trio of geth primes. It seemed we didn't outsmart the flashlights after all.

After the first two times they killed me, I began to wonder if they had somehow copied kai leng's plot armor. I at least managed to take one of them with me before I went down for the third time. Sigh. The fourth time I died... well, there's really not much to say, except I'm blaming Garrus for that one. He died way too early and was no help at all. It's hard to concentrate when you have a krogan in your head who mockingly laughs during the entire battle.

By spamming my hack attempts, with Tali pitching in where she could, we kept two of the primes focused on destroying the third most of the time. Garrus even managed to stay alive long enough to help us kill it. One down, two to go. Tali kept up her hacking attempts on one, while Garrus and I kept overloading them both. Once we took one prime's shields down, I threw a turret and drone at him and picked up the spitfire. Ha! Take that giant robot flashlight. The remaining prime was no match for the three of us. Holy crap, what a battle. We hadn't faced anything as tough as that yet. Garrus exclaimed that even the colossus on haestrom wasn't that bad. "Yeah shep," said Grunt, "but you had nukes, remember?" A**hole.

On the rooftop, the exchange went something like this:

EDI: Normandy's weapons systems are ready to sync to your target.
shep: *Points the laser at the target. Normandy fires. Normandy blows up target. And shep.*
EDI: I recommend you withdraw to a safe distance.
Shep: EDI!
EDI: That was... a joke.

Thanks to EDI's improper adjustment of her humor chronometer, we woke up a reaper and had to kill it. On foot. I asked Tali hopefully whether there were any thresher maws on Rannoch. She answered, "how the hell should I know?" She had a point. And so we had no giant worm to help us this time either. So I told EDI to allow the quarians into her network as punishment and we synced up the whole fleet to the laser beam.

The reaper was not so tough after that, and we achieved peace between the quarians and the geth, and they will live in harmony on Rannoch together again... err, assuming we win this thing that is.

Number of reloads: 4. Quiet, Grunt. I don't want to talk about it.

Kaiden, Tali, and I have landed on an unexplored, rocky planet with poor atmosphere. For the past half hour we have been trying to flip our Mako over just for the lulz.

Already forgot why Hackett sent us here.

I always tell Reeger to keep his head down and then go up the right hand side walkway.

He's survived every time I've played.

Elizabeth Nancy Shepard(Lisa) is back at it again.

After the Collector ship, she heads to the Ciradel to help Garrus deal with a forner colleague Runs into a Volus who reveals that Harkin is Fade. Lisa remembers that slimeball. He called her princess. It might be her lucky day to kill the piece of crap. They encounter him only to have the little wimp run away. Figures. Explains why is was so useless working for C-Sec. Lisa, Garrus and Zaeed fight through the Blue Suns mercs who willingly volunteered to die. Lisa could do this all day. Of course she rather kill her female squadmates who at the moment will only live long enough until her plan is fully laid out to kill them.

They reach the slimeball who sets up a meet between Garrus and his colleague. Lisa wanted to shoot him in the privates, but was content Garrus shot him in the leg. She talks with Sedonis, Garrus's colleague only to watch his head explode. Nice. Nothing like the sight of a head exploding in the middle of the Citadel. With Garrus focused on the mission, they wne t back to the Normandy.

On the Normqandy, Lisa forot aboput helping Thane. So back to the Citadel to find thane's son ,Koylat.  She interrogates a guy named Ellisah Kelham who reveals that Koylat is going to kill a Turain named Joram Talid. Thane and Lisa catch up to Koylat to stop him from killing the Turian. Lisa helps him by killing the hostage herself. With that done and Thane happy with the results, she heads back to the Normandy.

She heads to Halestorm to recruit Tali. Maybe Lisa will now redeem herself by killing Tali when she shoud've done it when chasing Saren. With Garrus and Zaeed with her, they fight through numerous Geth. She gets a kick out of wartching the machines explode shooting the fluids from the machine everywhere.

She reaches Tali who finishes with her download and joins Lisa on the Normandy.

I have one mission left before the IFF and decided that Samara will die at the hands of her daughter. Tune in later to read how Lisa lets this happen.

Interesting. I put up a thread on the ME2 forum asking if he COULD die. First time I let him shoot at the Colossus I was sure he was going to buy it, but no. And none of the other times as well, even on insanity.

I think the key is to get close to the Colossus in  a reasonable amount of time. I have always taken the same route: clear out the initial batch of Geth in the middle, then head up the catwalk on the right. That will bring you in close fairly quickly.

Yeah I tend too take that route as well. Since he helps out in Tails trail later on but I hates meta gaming lol. My Shepard always take that option and tell him to keep down and I clear out the Geth in the middle.

Kal'Reegar is not hard to kill. Take your time getting to the overgrown machine and he will die. If you move at a average pace he will live.

Elizabeth and her squad went back to Tuchanka one last time to get rid of a bomb that was put there many years ago in case the Krogan got out of control again. Yet again Liz fights through the ever annoying Cerberus troops to help the Primarchs son stop this bomb. Liz helps keep Cerberus off Tarquin while he tries to shut down the bomb. Unfortunately that does not work and he has to do it manually. Doing this Tarquin sacrifices himself. Liz is tired of losing people!

After Liz checks on the Normandy crew and does some online shopping.

Liz heads out to do some side missions she can't quite remember.

After, Liz heads to the Citadel..but there is no answer at docking bay. Guess why! Thats right it is Cerberus again..every where Liz goes Cerberus is sure to follow. By this point Liz is so fed up with Cerberus she doesn't even care anymore. Liz EDI and Liara must fight through Cerberus to get to the Salarian counselor and save him. Her they meet a new Cerberus agent..because The Illusive Man just loves his secret agents. The Cerberus agent is about to kill the Salarain counselor but Thane shows up to fight the agent. Thane did good but his illness made him week..he was fatally wounded. Liz calls for someone to pick up Thane while she goes after this agent. Fighting through more Cerberus troops Liz learns that the one behind all this is Udina who is with the Salarian counselor. Liz and her squad get on top of an elevator to catch up with the elevator that the Counselor is on. She manages to reach it. She breaks open the elevator hatch and jumps down to find Ashley. Now Ashley of course thinks Liz is the reason for Cerberus but good thing Liz had some talks with Ashley so she is going to side with Liz. Udina is taken down.

Liz then goes back to Citadel to talk with some crew members the most enjoyable was at purgatory bar. She talks with ja--Jennifer and they have a nice time on the dance floor. She then has a nice chat with Joker who is in love with EDI..he asks Liz if she thinks that okay. Liz says sure why the hell not. After Liz finishes up on the Citadel she heads back to the Normandy. She tries to get some chat going with liara but ever since she became shadow broker she doesn't talk to Liz as much.

Liz's next mission is going to be Mesana.

Elizabeth Nancy Shepard went to Omega to help Samara deal with her daughter. When they confronted each other, Lisa chose Morinth over Samara who died a few moments later. Lisa was cheering. She got one dead female squadmate. Excellent. It was all for not, MOrinth decide to take her mother's place on the Normandy. Fine. Lisa will kill her as well. She needs a drink.

She tells Joker to head for the location of where the reaper IFF is located. With Garrus and Jacob at her side, they fight through a bunch of husks and a few of those hunchback funky looking things. She encounters a Geth that talks and calls her by name. Interesting. She doesn't care. She'll destroy the machine as well.

They see the Geth and a bunch of husks. The husks are easily taken care of and with the mass effect core destroyed, they decide to take the Geth with them on the ship.

Back on the ship. LIsa gives the Geth to Cerberus for study and goes to her cabin to prepare to go through the Omega 4 relay. Her plans to kill all the female squadmates are complete and she is very proud of herself. This will be fun and she expects to celebrate her victory shortly.

I hope for the next game they include non-ship romances. I think Parasini could have made an interesting romance, of sorts. Along with someone like Shiala.

Force quin to testify, watched parasini drag him off. You get shed loads of renegade points for some reason doing that.

Also continued fighting everything on foot to maximise xp (including gun turrets).

Shari Shepard took care of the problem with Terra Nova, yesterday. As of now, she's taking a well deserved rest... However, she also took care of the AI program on Luna which gave her class a new level. Thought, she also is still looking for the base that Kaouku sent to her computers.

Quin gets draggged off? Don't you mean the Salarian guy who's name I keep forgetting, even after like... 8 playthroughs (Anoleis?)

Or you're using a path I've never used, of course.
