Virmire (part 2)

Virmire (part 2)

Status post Virmire:

Man, killing Wrex was hard.

First off Von awesome pictures! Looks like you left Kaiden to die (I did too).
So I was quit tired last night while playing ME3 so I don't remember all of what I did on Rannoch. Though I remember an annoying fight with a Reaper..until I figured out how to do it and not get destroyed by its lazer. Oh an that the Quarians and Geth now live together in peace!
Next Elizabeth will be doing some side mission and then heading to the Citadel to talk with the Asari Councilor.
Gonna have to write this stuff down after I do the mission so I remember more. But I am loving ME3. The guns this time around are very nice and I love having armor choices, though I am still using Blood Dragon Armor. Need to figure out what Shogun is best for Tali though. I know some say she isn't that great but hey..I love Tali, if my femshep could romance her she would..maybe then Liz would get more attention since Liara barley has time for her.

Thanks! He gave her a worried look after she killed Wrex. I think he was talking about her to the other crew behind her back.. couldn't trust him ![]()

Forget the shotgun. Have her use a pistol with a power amp (if you have it). Best pistols would either be Suppressor or Eagle (if you have them). Tali is perfectly fine in ME3, though still best when fighting Geth. Her sabotage can be used against organics to kill and debuff. Energy drain is more limited, especially against Reapers, but can be used against Cerberus. Her drone has a fast cool down and you can spec it for rockets. I would say Tali is not as good as other squadies, but she can be used effectively. She is certainly better in ME3 than she was in ME2.
Man, killing Wrex was hard.
Especially when Shepard does it in such a sadistic manner. She doesn't just shoot the dude, she knocks him on the ground first. Excuse me? He's a Krogan!?!
My first time playing ME1 was blind. I hadn't put any points into intimidate or charm and I hadn't done Wrex's "loyalty" mission. So when we got to Virmire and I was trying to talk him down out of nowhere Ashley just up and shot him. I was like, "WUT?!"
It's the repeated gunshots into him as he is on the deck. Man that's cold. I like the way Shep doesn't even look down as she does it.
Still, glad I did it; it changes everything going forward with regards to the krogan.
Man, killing Wrex was hard.
I've done it several times and it doesn't bother me at all. And when I don't feel like killing him I let Ashley have some fun by letting her kill him ![]()
I spent the last week playing Dragon Age: Origins through till the end. I wonder how much effort it took BW to come up with the worst user interface in the history of gaming? Surely that interface was the work of an evil genius who had spent his entire life learning how the best interfaces worked and then doing the exact opposite.
Having finally slogged through the nightmare of DAO to the end I came back and did some more Mass Effect. I got the comic (graphic novel) Evolution and found out about TIM's origins. It would be nice if Mac Walters steered clear of sci-fi in the future. Still, I was grateful for some exposition on the back stories for both Saren and TIM.
I also picked up Arwen Shepard's story again. I was about to do Overlord, but then decided it would make more sense from an RP perspective to do the Reaper IFF mission first. Arwen already doesn't trust Cerberus. Overlord will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, so to speak. Once she is done with Overlord, as far as Arwen is concerned she will be done with Cerberus. She will basically hijack their ship to finish off the Collector threat and then she will be a free agent. In fact, she will consider returning to the Alliance. The crew, by now is completely loyal to Shepard, and if she wants to break with Cerberus they will not question it, not even that Cerberus cheerleader Miranda. Running a mission for Admiral Hackett out in Batarian space would seem to be a perfect entree back into her old position as an Alliance officer.

What was bad about the user interface?

Take it she is not that good with a shotgun? Since I just did a little MP I think I have the Eagle now. I don't have the Suppressor, not sure how to get it.

You get it playing the Citadel dlc

I'd settle for him steering clear of making artistic statements in future.
Oh the DLC I do not have yet. Just checked, I don't think I can get N7 Eagle in single player from multiplayer. Oh well.
The Eagle is only available in SP if you have the Collector's Edition. Or if you use Gibbed save editor to unlock it.

That happened to me too on my first time playing ME1. Plus I went to Virmire as soon as it was available rather than saving it for last. I think that's one reason why I don't like Ashley. Luckily I had a recent level up save I could go back to and put more points into charm.
Wrex has survived ever since, but I think I need at least one trilogy run where he isn't around. Just doing a non-import doesn't cut it.
Okay well I am on Xbox 360 so no Gibbs for me. But for now I have a pretty good pistol that my squad and I use. For get the name but it looks like the eagle. So Tali is no good with shotgun huh?
Except for Garrus and Ashley (with the right class evolutions) none of your squadmates are particularly good with weapons. (That's not totally true. Any squadmate who can use the Typhoon, i.e. Javik, Kaidan, Garrus, Ash, and James, will destroy everything in sight.) They only do a fraction of the damage with their weapons that Shepard does. I believe they do 30% of the damage Shepard does before factoring in class powers. Your squadmates are there for their powers, not their guns. Therefore Tali would be better with a pistol with a power magnifier than a shotgun. Likewise, Aria would be better off using the SMG with a power amp than with a Shotgun.

You can use Gibbed save editor with the 360 version quite easily.
Problem is that Microsoft view such things as system tampering and will ban for it. The actual chance of being caught for such a simple thing are slim to none, but the risk does still exist.
After picking up the Reaper IFF Arwen Shepard headed off to Aite to investigate a Cerberus facility that had fallen off the grid. Turns out a human-VI hybrid had gone nuts and was threatening another apocalypse. Arwen is getting bloody well tired of machines going bonkers. Has anyone, anywhere, at any time in the entire history of the galaxy NOT built a machine that eventually went crazy? So Shepard ended up running around this planet killing robots, shooting up video monitors, and running over six-legged cows (Arwen wasn't taking any chances on becoming the victim of more klepto-cows like on Ontorom) until she finally found the source of the problem. Turns out this Archer dude she had met had hooked up his brother to a machine ala Clockwork Orange and the brother didn't react well. Not terribly surprising. Shepard would not have reacted well either. So she freed Archer's brother and sent him to Grissom Academy. If the Illusive Man didn't like it, tough. She has had enough of Cerberus. As far as she's concerned, the Normandy is hers, and hers alone. No more listening to TIM. She will, obviously continue on her mission to stop the Collectors. She wants to see the abductions stop, probably more than TIM. But after that she is going to see about returning to the Alliance. Admiral Hackett has asked her to do him a favor by running a covert op in Batarian space. Maybe she can leverage that into getting reinstated.

That scene where Ash, Kaidan and shep are discussing something, Kaidan's got a look in his eye like, "Man, I am never getting off this planet, am I?"
And Wrex
... I'll be doing the same thing on my next playthrough.
Great screens though, I like the camera switch to the enemy's POV.

After freeing David Archer from the clutches of Cerberus, Arwen Shepard was informed by the robot they had picked up on the derelict Reaper that he knew the location of a bunch of other robots that he would like help destroying. Shepard was totally down with the idea of destroying a bunch more crazy robots so off they went to help "their" robot kill the other robots. Jack approved of the big explosion. That girl is probably a pyromaniac on top of being a murderer, pirate, and vandal.
After finishing up that assignment Shepard set off to see her blue girl friend again. Unfortunately, EDI chose that moment to test out the brand new Reaper IFF and told Shepard she should make her pit stop at Omega using the shuttle instead of the Normandy. While Shepard was on the asteroid the Collectors homed in on the Normandy and boarded the ship, kidnapping the entire crew except Joker. Shepard is not sure which is worse: losing the crew, or having another maniacal robot on the loose. Well, at least this EDI machine has a pleasant voice. Shepard has developed a theory that previous robot rebellions might have been more successful (for the machines, anyway) if the silly robots had used female voices instead of male ones.
Shepard had prepared the crew and the ship as best she could, and EDI assured us the IFF did not hold any more surprises. (Not sure we should trust her, but, hey, that voice!) So she steeled herself to jump through the Omega 4 relay. First, however, she went to say goodbye to Liara. Liara was really upset and wanted to know that Shepard would come back to her before agreeing to any nookie, so Shepard basically promised to get married and have lots of little blue babies with her if that would get her into bed. Arwen is such a dog.
With her final farewell out of the way the Normandy hit the Omega 4 relay:
Vents - Tali; Second Fire Team Lead - Garrus
Escort - Jacob; Biotic Specialist - Jack; Second Fire Team Lead - Garrus
Final Assault Team - Miranda and Samara
Shepard was contacted by TIM just before she was about to blow up the base. TIM pleaded with her to save the base but there was no way she was going to hand over all that technology to him. Given a choice between giving TIM the tech, or just destroying it Shepard chose to destroy it. She would have preferred to save it and hand it over to either the Alliance or the Council, but it was clear that TIM would get to it before those slow pokes ever did. Shepard was pleasantly surprised when the Cerberus cheerleader sided with her and resigned from Cerberus on the spot. Shepard was right: the crew, including the cheerleader, was completely loyal to her now. Hmm, if it wasn't for this Reaper thing she just might turn pirate, although there is no way she would let Jack be first mate.
Not all was sunshine and roses, however. It appears that Zaeed, the super-merc, was still distracted by our failure to kill Vido Santiago on Zorya as he ended up as our only casualty. (Some of the crew suspect this was no accident, but since they didn't really like him anyhow, no one will say anything to Shepard about it.)
Shepard will now try to insinuate her way back into the Alliance by running a covert op for Admiral Hackett on the planet Arahtot. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. It should be fairly straight forward: infiltrate a prison and free an Alliance spy. No fuss, no muss. Fingers crossed.
So yeah there are going to be some SPOILERS below. Though I would hope those who come to this thread expect that but I just want to let it be known just in case.
Elizabeth (Liz) Shepard travels to Thessia with Liara and Garrus. They arrive to see the Reapers destroying this beautiful Asari home world. Liz and her squad help some Asari soldiers hold their position from Reaper troops. After that is done Liz makes way to find the artifact while fighting through more and more Reaper troops. Liz arrives at Athames Temple. Liz investigates the Temple for the artifact, she comes across an old stone with a drawing of Athame..Garrus explains that Athame looks very much like a Prothean. Liz inspects a head sculpture of Athame to which Garrus again says it looks very much like a Prothean, Liz agrees while Liara is trying to to believe it. Liz finds and unlocks the artifact, but out comes a Prothean VI who starts to give a history lesson on Protheans and the Crucible. The Prothean VI was about to reveal something about the Catalyst when he was interrupted, this interruption was a Cerberus agent names Kai Leng. Kai leng activates a hologram of the ever annoying Illusiveman who still want to control the reapers, Liz tries to get him on her side but that is a losing battle. Kai attacks Liz. Liz fights Kai but is defeated by a cheap move of Kai shooting the Temples support beams. Kai makes off with the artifact, Liz tries to stop him..but it is no good. The battle on Thessia is lost and it falls. Liz and he squad escape. Liz at this point is so pissed off that Cerberus is always one step ahead of her and she keeps losing people because of it. It is time to be one step ahead of Cerberus for a change. Cerberus will pay!
Next Elizabeth investigate a Reaper killer Leviathan.
