I went for evil so I left wrex alive. Got some interesting conversation with wrex when I went to surkesh cuz I destroyed the data. I felt bad for destroying the cure even more when wrex confronts you about it.
Hmm, that's interesting... we'll see, I had already planned for Wrex not to make it off Virmire. I dunno, just like I could never shoot Mordin, I don't think I could sabotage the cure on Wrex. Wreav, on the other hand, he's an ***hole.
The one time I tried, I managed to kill two or three before I got overwhelmed. Then I just thought, "**** this." heh, and ran past them.
What class? Which Squadmates? As long as you are combo'ing, and particularly if you have Warp and Incinerate available, Brutes will go down fast, even on insanity. I used a Sentinel Shepard with Javik (dark channel) and EDI (incinerate). Lots of fire and biotic explosions. After doing a lot of MP I have found that Brutes are not really that big a deal. In fact, they are kind of a relief compared to Banshees.

If you do keep wrex alive and on the citadel don't pick the renegade highlighted answer but do the bottom right it actually makes sense why you would sabotage the cure I still cried a bit.

Figured dating someone crazy was better than me being crazy this time around.It was quite awhile ago, but I think I was playing a soldier shep, and I almost always take Garrus and James with me to the shroud. I leave Javik on the ship to troll him for a change, heh. But I do agree, since that playthrough I've learned alot about killing brutes. They're not that bad. maybe next time I'll try them again.

Renegade shepard with awesome red scars and eyes, is awesome shepard. That's why I love to do renegade playthroughs with male sheps and not cure their scars. Now on femsheps, I don't find them very attractive.

Today i completed the game once again and made myself depressed... despite the endings i cant get enough of the mass effect universe.

I finally figured out how to use Gibbed's save editor on Mass Effect 2 for PS3. I've been having a blast giving Jacob assault rifles and reducing Tech and Biotic cooldowns to nothing.

After finally getting a chance to play ME over the past 2 days, I made some progress on my current play through.
John(didn't bother changing the name this time, just the physical aspects of the character), along with Wrex and Liara, reached Peak 15. After killing a few geth and encountering the Racni for the first time(Liara-"By the Goddess, what was that?" Wrex-"Probably just debris. Don't worry, I'll protect you." Wrex is just awesome), I fixed Mira's core. As usual, I just used omnigel. One of these days, I'll actually spend the time to figure out the puzzle's patterns in order to solve it, but I didn't have the time to do so the other night(still had 3 pages of essays to complete). After her nagging, John attended to every problem she wanted fixed. Than he reached the trams, met the ERCS mercenary captain, attended to the problems for the doctor, met Benezia, yada yada yada(all the unimportant bits), and finally encountered the Racni Queen. After considering his options and hearing Wrex and Liara bicker over the decision, he decided that she was too dangerous to live(I could have done without the overly psychotic dialogue however).
Later, he went to the Citadel to acquire some supplies. He politely told Rear Admiral Mikhailovich to go to hell, told Khalisah al-Jilani to f*** off, and met Talitha. He did his best to calm her down, but decided to forcibly inject the sedative. After seeing Corporal Toombs off himself, he could not bear the thought of seeing her do the same, and he didn't trust her to take the sedative herself. Yet helping her helped him make some form of peace within himself concerning the events at Mindoir. While on the Citadel, I completed almost every side quest(still decided against being a dick to Shaira in order to do the dirty deed), but I still need to meet Conrad 2 more times and the Salarian outside of Flux.
Afterwards, I played BDtS for the first time. When John heard Balak's second in command say he was only there to acquire slaves, he offed him. He also decided against letting Balak walk, but the death of Kate Bowman weighed heavily on him. He shot Balak multiple times and gave him to the Alliance so they could interrogate him.
Now I'm just doing some other sidequests before I head to Virmire.
And now for something completely different.
Boredom. Yeah, that explains it. Yet another Shepard. Only this one is really off the beaten path for me. First off, its a broshep, which I haven't done in a long time. His name is Ruslan. He is a Spacer/War Hero. Apparently you get a paragon boost for this combination. And in fact I am going to run him as a paragon, which is also a departure from my usual paragade/renegon playthroughs.
He is an Engineer. I need that to get the last two power-use achievements: Neural Shock and AI Hacking. Having AI Hacking available as a bonus power could be useful. I guess being an Engineer also fits with my desire to do another insanity run in ME2, not that I have ever worried about keeping the same class through all three games. I found I liked using the Engineer for insanity in ME2. I didn't much like the Sentinel since all I ever seemed to be doing was resetting my tech armor. Sentinels make for a poor caster class in ME2. Adept would be fine, I suppose, except I just did an Adept run in ME2 (hardcore). With Soldier I would be afraid of constantly running out of ammo. That, at least, is what I found when I did a hardcore run through. And Vanguard is just not my style in ME2. Now if you gave me my Krogan Vanguard things would be different!
I also need to run Tali and Wrex as my squad mates to get the last two squadmate achievements. Since neither of them has much in the way of biotics, I gave Ruslan Lift as his bonus. Can't win fights without Lift, or at least not as easily.
Ruslan will romance Ash in ME1, and I will need to find some excuse for saving her on Virmire instead of Kaidan. In ME2 I am thinking Ruslan may be a regular ****** and go for all the women. Not exactly the paragon thing to do, but since they will each be segregated off to a separate save file we can pretend they are simply alternate universes, which is what they are. I find having separate saves with different romances is the most efficient way to do different romances in ME3 rather than having to replay ME2.
Back in action tonight. My male shep headed to the ashlan (think that is the name) refinery to help Zaeed with his loyalty mission. Decided that his thirst for revenge was not more important than saving the workers. He was mad at me but I was able to convince him that his 20 year vengeance could wait another day. We headed back to the Normandy where EDI informed me that Legion was ready to talk. I headed to the AI Core and discussed the new information that Legion had gathered on the heretics. We made a b line to the station to wipe them out. Nothing eventful happened on this trip and once again we boarded the Normandy where Tali decided it was time to confront Legion for scanning her omni tool. I was able to convince them that they need to work together and not destroy their people before the reapers arrive. I then made the rounds and finished talking to some of the crew members. Unfortunately I choose wrong in a conversation with Tali earlier and she believed that I wanted a relationship oops! I told her I did not want to be exclusive (yes I do just not with her 
) I plotted the course for the omega 4 relay and waited in my cabin when Jack arrived 
good thing Mordin gave me the pamphlets on how to be intimate with a crazy over charged biotic and I walked away with no broken bones!!
We have now crashed on the collector base. Tali will be heading up the hacking in the vents and Garrus is leading the second fire squad, Jack and Mordin will be going with me hopefully we make it to the center chamber 
I found an old save file from Mass Effect 1 (2009!) while poking around the boytoy's xbox. I recognized the personality as a proto Yoshimi. And since I don't have a Yoshimi run on the xbox, I did my Kaidan-mancin', ruthless spacer, snarky renegon sentinel up right. I was about half the way through already, so I just busted some chops.
As I type, the words "I need you to recover" are wailing over the speakers.
I forgot how fun the renegade council spared version is. I haven't seen that in forever.
And how FAST you can bust through ME1 if you're going for it.
Also, on Noveria, I found a hilarious and alarming bug. Right after Benezia's speech, she threw a box at me. Or the commandos did, or Liara or Kaidan did. As a simple soldier, I was frequently baffled by the storms of chairs flying around. Anyway, Shepard got squished under a box and I had to reload, sending me all the way back to the beginning. So that happened.

I usually do that mission as soon as it's available. The Locust is a superior weapon.
Always end up using an Assault Rifle later though, but that's for rp and coolness reasons The Locust might even have higher DPS.
