Today I survived a suicide mission and managed to whip the Cain out for the killing blow on the human reaper... Which made a lot more sense than my usual, killing it with a bullet from a tiny gun.

Kaidan: So if I get the plaque right-side up this time, then will you teach me how to do that floaty thing you asari can do?

Liara: Plaque first. Then talk.

Hahaha! Never thought of it like that. And Lol, no one died!

My idea kinda falls apart under close scrutiny, heh. So...uh... how come nobody's dead? Shep didn't retrieve any dog tags?

Nah, I kinda bugged myself as I was walking to Synthesis. I was still in a weapon selection screen and then BAM! Shepard was already throwing herself off the cliff. I was shooting my Lancer when the Normandy landed on the unknown world. You could see bullets spraying! Hahahaha!

Shep: C'mon Tali, go ask that prime what we should do with Legion's body.

Tali: I'm not gonna ask him. You ask him.

Shep: What do you suppose geth funerals are like?

Tali: I don't know. Javik kept wanting you to throw legion out the airlock...

Shep: Haha, that's terrible!

Tali: Hahaha Shh! You're ruining the solemn moment.

Shep: Easy for you to say. You can just cut your suit's auditory emulators and no one can hear you laugh.

Tali: Good idea.

Shep: Bosh'tet.

That's too bad because he'll miss the next stage where they all do a perfectly synchronized robot-dance as a celebration of life.

My tour of the galaxy had gone on long enough, and it was time to get down to the business of chasing Saren. To that end our next stop was Port Hanshan on Noveria. On our way, my new quarian crewmember called me down to the engine room. I wasnt't sure what to think of her yet. Good reason or not, I find it hard to trust anyone who hides behind a mask. I asked the krogan merc if he could recall what quarians looked like without their suits, and he just grunted at me. Typical. He's a hard one to talk to. I think I may just save my breath from now on.

The quarian's name is Tali, and she wants to talk to me about the data we recovered while stopping that geth incursion in the Armstrong Nebula. She thinks it might eventually help her people take back their planet from the geth. It's a noble goal, but I very patiently explain to her that while I'm under orders to allow non-Alliance personnel onto my ship for the duration of this mission, I am in no way required to share any intel we gather while completing that mission. Then she tried to convince me what a great pilgrimage gift it would make. I still refused to share it with her. She got snippy with me and said she was gone once we stopped Saren. As far as I'm concerned, she can stay in the engine room for the rest of the mission. I don't care how much Adams likes her.

We arrived at Noveria and it was immediately made clear how unwelcome we were, and because of an accident at the peak 15 Labs, we were forbidden to travel there. I didn't have time for their stone-walling. I had to show the token corporate security force that when a N7 Alliance soldier and Council Spectre arrives on their little planet, she doesn't put up with bureaucratic red-tape and BS. They opened their garage for me. I knew they would.

We travelled to peak 15 and discovered that Saren's right-hand matriarch had been trying to find the location of the conduit from a resurrected Rachni queen. It was time to put an end to this, and no matter how much Benezia boasted, no matter asari commandos she sent at us, they were no much for three well-trained Alliance soldiers. Benezia tried to repent for all the wrong she'd done, claiming Saren's ship had possessed her mind, but she'd locked a part of it away and could now help us. Sigh. First Feros, now here on Noveria. What is it with asari? Before we left we purged the whole place of rachni, including the queen. Alenko tried to tell me we were committing genocide, and I reminded him that the rachni had already been extinct for two thousand years and no one had to know any different. Why did he have to look so handsome when he argued with me?

I spent some time in the shuttle bay after we left Noveria, talking to my new turian crewmember. The conflict he'd been having with following the rules when they got in the way of doing the right thing reminded me alot of my early days in the Alliance. I didn't mind sharing my own experience that you do what you think is right, no matter what roadblocks are put in your way, and that's I kept hanging up on the Council every time they called. He didn't look quite so twitchy after that. Against my better judgment I was starting to like him. He was still a turian and old beliefs die hard, but he'd already outlived the last turian who was on this ship, so he had that going for him.

Before I could hang up on the council this time, they told they'd received a distress call from one of their infiltration teams out in the Sentry Omega Cluster. Since their job was to investigate possible suspicious activity from Saren, the council thought maybe I should know about it. That's when I hung up on them, and told Joker to set course for Virmire. We arrived shortly and fought through some of Saren's geth mooks to arrive at the salarian camp. The one in charge, a captain Kirrahe explained that just ahead was Saren's main base of operations and that Saren himself was currently at that location. Not only that but he had found a way to to circumvent the genophage curse and was breeding an army of krogan to fight alongside the geth. Uh oh. Too late. Wrex overheard. We already weren't getting along so well, which was fine by me, but I had a bad feeling this was going to be trouble, and I was right. Wrex refused to listen to reason that Saren's base had to be destroyed along with the army of krogan and the alleged 'cure'. He tried to mutiny, and I had to shoot him. I wasn't happy about it but there was no choice; I couldn't allow anyone to put their personal desires ahead of the mission, no matter what. The salarian seemed surprised by what I'd done, but I refrained from pointing out that if he'd only kept his mouth shut about that one little detail, none of this mess would have happened. We were going to need the salarians.

Kirrahe came up with a plan to turn their ship's drive core into a nuclear device, so we could blow the whole place. Alenko volunteered to go with the salarians for the frontal assault. I knew he was still upset with me about the rachni, but he's professional enough to follow orders. I sent Williams with the strike team, she's a better shot anyway. Kaidan, Garrus and I fought our through to Saren's base, disabling as many of his defenses as we could along the way. I liked Ash, and I knew this "williams curse" thing she's got on her brain might affect her at a key moment so I didn't want to see anything happen to her.

We found another prothean beacon inside the base, and after activating it I had a chat with Saren's ship, who wasn't really a ship at all, but an ancient sentient machine. He called himself Sovereign and said he was just one of an entire fleet that were coming to destroy us all. Now I really wish I'd talked more with that scientist back on Eden Prime. I didn't let Sovereign see me sweat, though. I told him I'd stop him this time, and I meant it. We disabled the base's AA guns and Normandy delivered the payload. Hot on their trail was another geth dropship though, and Kaidan convinced me to go rescue Ashley while he finished enabling the bomb.

Saren himself caught up to us and tried to convince that we should surrender to the reapers in order to survive. I could tell he was under the same spell as those two asari we'd already met. I tried to put a bullet in his head to show what I thought of his idea, and he ran away. He slowed us down just enough that Kaidan had to trigger the bomb before we could get back to him and we had to leave him there along with Wrex. Damn. But I've had worse days.

The council seemed willing to listen to my plea that Saren wasn't the real threat, but when they asked which system contained the conduit once we went through the MU relay, I had to admit I didn't know that yet. I gathered the crew together and asked if anyone had any ideas. The quarian then reminded me about Benezia's daughter. Crap. I'd forgotten all about her.

Up next, somewhat guiltily, Artemis Tau.

They move a little stiffly to twerk, though... don't they? Maybe that's the hidden side-benefit of the reaper code upgrades.

I cured a lethal decease, killed a bartender, then watched an old Krogan warlord charge off to his death. Omega is many things, but it ain't dull.

Yep, a few pages back I've got a few more walls of text detailing the first parts of her adventures. It's been awhile since I updated.

Yesterday I shot Grunt after retrieving him from Okeer. This... apparantly, was reason enough for him to follow me. Also came across Rhana Thanopsis...

Screenshots will follow later, I can't access them right now :P

Finished up all the loyalty missions except for Tali's, which I'm saving for after the Derelict Reaper when I get Legion. I'm taking a break for the rest of the day, but when I pick the game back up tomorrow I'll start doing the side missions, namely the N7 missions and all the DLC bar for Arrival, which I save for after the SM.

I hope the Quarian Admirals don't get too mad about me delaying Tali's trial whilst I fly about the galaxy trying to stop an organic-AI mind from conquering the galaxy, fighting mercs and husks in warehouses full of crates, having epic fail moments in the Hammerhead, visiting the Normandy crash site and saving Feron from the Shadowbroker. :P

Thankfully, I've finished all the hub world side quests, so I can focus on the rest.
