@ Psychevore: Fantastic pics of Jack in that sequence.

EDIT: Mind if I steal one for a profile pic?

We're both using screenshots from Psychevore as our avatars now.

So, I played ME1 for a while yesterday but didn't get the chance to come back online and update. Commander Yosef Shepard made it to Feros, and this time he brought Tali and Ashley - which is different from my last playthrough where he brought Kaidan instead, but after his recent conversation with Ashley about being prepared for the geth next time, it seemed appropriate that he give her the opportunity to get revenge on the geth and save a human colony at the same time. Of course, he's bringing Tali on every mission, but her experience with the geth makes his decision seem justified. Yosef did all the quick little side missions to help the colonists, and it seems to have given his Paragon score a boost - both are still below one bar, but Renegade used to be higher from just dialogue alone and now Paragon has taken the lead.

I ran into a strange glitch where squadmates stopped following me, and the only way around this was to use squad commands as if they were still in battle-mode. Luckily, after everyone got killed off (I'm not very good at Mako combat) and I reloaded, they were back to normal.

Before heading to Feros, Hackett gave Yosef the Luna mission. I guess because it's tied to level, I got it immediately. Saving it for after Feros because the colonists are in more immediate danger from the geth. To be continued soon.

I won't tell you how many times I restarted a game just because shep has to look right

Let's all agree right now that, love or hate DA2, the mirror in the Black Emporium is amazing and should be in all Bioware games forever.

DON'T LIKE YOUR HAIR? Ok, you can cut it.

I saved a colony on a planet called Horizon from an invasion of body snatching aliens... well... part of the colony anyway. Saw my Ex. Did not go well. Went to Illium and hit a bar for some drinks only to find an annoying little man trying to play space cowboy. Gave him a shot to the quad and fixed the problems he stirred up. Helped one of my shipmates with some personal business. Now just hanging out and enjoying the drinks I came for.

It should be in all RPGs with a character creator forever, but include it in the base game next time. I was a little sad that my FemHawke's lipstick color didn't match her hair as well as I thought it did during customization.

I thought you shot him in the leg.  That's... a little extreme, Commander.

Ha, this is basically what I did, only I stopped after being on my way to the bar because I should go to sleep soon :P

I played a little farther through Feros, and will probably go back to it later. Just reached the part where they gave Shep the anti-thorian grenades. I'm really enjoying the banter between Tali and Ashley so far. This might be the first time I've actually brought Ashley on a main mission.

Hahaha! I read it! Tali has no secret dialogue. Disappointing.... I always wear the N7 armor, 'cause it looks the best...

I liked the inferno armor on my last playthrough for my engineer, for the power cooldown and damage bonuses. If you couldn't take the helmet off like in ME2, I wouldn't wear it.

Shep: What are you doing here?

Tali: Stand-in. *ahem* Evolutionary trials. Morphological assessments...

Well, if you're already at like 200% Cooldown bonus, it doesn't really affect your power recharge as much anymore beyond 200%. The differences get very small after that....

Really??  :o I didn't know that. Crap, I looked like a dork for nothing. No wonder shep looked so angry all the time lol. Well this changes everything, thank you for that.

It'll still give you more recharge beyond 200%, but the differences hardly seem apparent.

I guess I should have realized, when upgrading powers like Overload at rank 5, the 25% recharge bonus was like two-tenths of a second. Not really worth it.

I usually go for Neural Shock, but because I only play Narrative in Story Mode, I go for recharge.....

I still wear the Cerberus Spirit Armor. Best armor in the game for the power classes. (The 30% recharge bonus can also help offset the tech armor penalty.)

Well even if it's not really worth it, I've always gone for the recharge bonus anyway. I'm reminded of that conversation between Garrus and and Legion about gaining just a little more accuracy out of the thanix cannon, heh. Incapacitating the bad guys is probably better for your turret or drone though.

I can't have shep wearing cerberus armor, even if I'm giving up some good bonuses. It just doesn't feel right to me.

If you do play on like Insanity or Normal, Neural Shock is the best to go...

I find the straight up +50% Power Damage bonus from the Serrice Council + Umbra Visor set to be better (plus I think it looks cooler, especially on FemShep; plus, plus, I think the goggle look is fitting for Engineers.

I still have much to learn about playing on insanity. I was thinking about setting up overload chains, and then incapacitating like two or three guys at once, then letting my turret or drone get a couple extra shots in.

If you compare the Cerberus Spirit Armor to Liara's armor (the one from the From Ashes DLC) you'll see they are the same, except that Liara's armor has an Alliance color scheme. (Why Liara is wearing Alliance colors, and not Shepard, I have no idea. Same reason I don't understand why Liara complains about the Alliance not providing funding for air support on Thessia.)

Shep's a N7, shep gets the coolest armor.

The best reason for choosing Neural Shock though isn't even on the ability description. Without that evolution Neural Shock only does half damage against Organics.
