I'm going to be choosing Morinth over Samara in my renegade shep game. I've only done that once before, but it was years ago, I don't remember it that well.

I've only done it once but it is totally not worth it in my opinion.

Not missing much on Morinth. I think you have like half a conversation with her and that's it. Samara is better imo. But for a renegade makes sense.

It is based on zero information except that she kills people with sex. Unless Shepard is planning to lure Harbinger into a one-night stand with Morinth, there is no other indication that she has any abilities that would contribute to the mission.

Send her after your organic enemies and let her kill them with sex!! There are many I want dead but she could do it more stealthily than I can.

Yeah, but you can get that by saving just before talking to her in the apartment, picking her, then reloading. Still no reason to do an entire playthrough with her.

I know what you're saying, and 99% of the time I agree, but I want hear Grunt call her an "asari ****" just once.

That is why I did Samara's LM last when I choose morinth so it was betray and then head straight to collectors. If you wanna just be a renegade who doesn't care about anything Morinth would fit. Depends on the type of playthrough you are doing.

I'm trying to give my renegade shep a purpose, but some of the stuff she ends up doing just seem random, like blowing off an armless mech's head when I could have just let it run away. 

 

Either way, I'll be doing Samara's LM as soon as I can, so I can get Morinth into as many missions as possible. If I'm never going to recruit her again, I may as well get the most out of it.

Ruslan Shepard (engineer) continued getting his face kicked in playing on insanity. I don't remember this many mission failures from my previous insanity playthroughs of ME2.

 

On Jack's recruitment mission I had, I believe, 4 mission failures, 3 of them during the fight where the 2nd YMIR mech shows up, and 1 when fighting the Warden. The second one was because of my own stupidity. I should have let my shields recharge fully before trying to take out the Warden with the Cain. Just as the Cain fired, Shepard died.

 

Only one mission failure on Horizon, though. That was during the Scion/Husk fight in the final courtyard. Bloody Husks snuck up on me when my attention was elsewhere. I wonder if its cheating to bring Kasumi along? She makes fights against Harby a joke. Literally, since it gives you time to listen to all his smack talk.

 

I am looking forward to picking up Tali soon. Ashley kind of killed what she and Shepard had shared with her abusive treatment on Horizon. She even called Ruslan a traitor. Ruslan may be a paragon (Spacer/War Hero) but he does have feelings. I suspect Tali may find him in a vulnerable state and take advantage of him. Ruslan will let her.

 

I also did Bring Down the Sky with a Colonist/Ruthless femshep (Tatyana). She killed Charn, but handed Balak over to the Alliance.

I did it in this current trilogy playthrough and I have to say, what a waste of time. But at least I can say I did choose Morinth at least once.

I know. Even in my most fully Renegade playthrus I have never been able to come up with a single compelling reason to pick Morinth. It's simply undefensible. I'm no fan of Samara and her hypocrisy but at least you know clearly where you stand with her. She's just blind to the fact that she is VERY much a 'results at all costs' personality. Sure she doesn't murder innocents for fun, but doesn't even consider non-lethal options for dealing with unwilling stooges of AY, like the villages she wiped out as a Justicar. Her BS threats at renegade Shepard make my blood boil to this day. I wish there was a 'bring it' option where you could call her on her crap and say we do this now, or shut the hell up and let me save the galaxy.

John decided tonight that he would go see Liara and offer her the information that was given to him by Cerberus. She was looking for the shadow broker but until now he did not understand why. He wasn't really pleased that she is the one who handed him to Cerberus in the first place. But he would help her find her friend Feron and get him back. He agreed to meet her at her apartment. 

When he arrived he was surprised to see that the Nos Astros Police where there. Had something happened to Liara? 

An Asari Specter named Vasir greeted him at the door after she dismissed the Police. She let him know that someone was trying to kill his friend and needed his help to find her. He searched her apartment and was shocked to realize that Liara had a piece of his armor and even photos of Ilos. Was Liara still interested in him? He told her 2 years ago that he wanted to just be friends. He wasn't ready at the time to settle down with anyone. Not until Tali showed her interest in him. 

 

They learned that she had contacted a salarian that worked at the Dracon Center. John headed there with Tali and Grunt, Vasir decided that she would follow them. 

 

As soon as he arrived the building blow up!! he fought his way throw the tower to find Liara. He might be mad at her right now over Cerberus but damn it she is his friend and he will not leave her behind.

 

After countless kills he finally made it to where Liara was and of course as it always happens.

The one person who he didn't know wanted him and Liara DEAD!! Is there anyone out there not part of the Normandy Crew that has not tried to kill him?

Well we shall let our back heal before we head after Vasir and Liara. And right now she has some explaining to do for not checking on me after that fall. I am so important that I get handed to Cerberus but hell no not important enough to make sure I survived a 3 story fall. I'm good but damn it still hurt like hell.

So today I yelled Rannoch into peace after muttering at the geth pretty much nonstop. And then I stopped Yoshimi's clone. As much as I love Wrex, there's some awesome lines when Wrex is dead. Mostly from EDI, but also Vega and Liara. 

 

I'm trying to space the Citadel DLC combat around Leviathan and the pile o' sidemissions left to go around the Rannoch arc.

 

Right now, I'm watching my boyfriend play action mode. He booted it up out of morbid curiosity. 

 

...It kind of looks really lame. And Shepard's a bit bipolar.

 

I never really understood playing on narrative difficulty or in action mode. The combat's a bit too fun and... intrinsic in my feel for Mass Effect, and obviously if you're not playing the story, you probably should be playing a different game. I wonder how many people do. And we're both kind of curious about what happens to the defaultest of default Shepards. I really doubt the boytoy will keep this up, but all the Mass Effect I've been playing lately has got him curious again. He's started in 1 with his final perfect ALL DLCS canonShep, but I think he just wanted to putz and see what action mode was.

 

 

The cinematics look a little different without the 'pick your dialogue' stare, and it's always interesting to see the dialogue change for nonimports.

Not a thing, I found it ridiculous that Shepard protected Liara and not run over too Garrus her LOVER to see if he alright. But he survived dozen of bullets from a gunship so...,,

I know, I think it's kinda ridiculous too. Unless shep either is romancing Liara, or shep's LI isn't on the mission, then Liara shouldn't be top priority.
