Like: Armor and appearances of the warrior, great combat animations and the DEATHBLOW moves are AWESOME. I wish there were more of them, they REALLY add to the cinematic appeal of the game!!!!

Dislike: Not enough special moves/Stamina runs dry too quickly/deathblows don't fire as often as they should, nor do they make you unhittable for the duration [a fun vs realism issue, imho fun wins]

Shields are VERY small [aesthetic] armor penetration does NOT make a big deal [it should] and furthermore, axes have the same or sometimes less armor penetration than swords? What the hell?

*

Underpowered: Sword and Shield is great but a shield is a lethal piece of metal or wood and I don't feel the game accurately reflects this. 2hand - slowwwwww and reuses animations, sunder weapon/armor for example. Reavers are flat out underpowered.

Overpowered: Dual Wield Dual Wield Dual Wield. I understand that the most unrealistic set would be the overpowered one, but it doesn't make it right. Dual Wield is insane. In DAO difficulty is often not one big tough enemy, but a tough enemy with packs of weaker enemies. Dual Wield makes those weaker enemies trivial [whirlwind/sweep attacks] and has a PLETHORA of tools to deal with the stronger enemies, [cripple/Riposte/Punisher/Momentum] And the lack of knockdown protection can be almost completely mitigated by getting a high physical defense. Its completely nuts.

*

Favorite Specialization: Champion! It does what it's supposed to and while not the most flashy, it is well crafted and simple. Only problem I'd say is no one reacts to you being a Champion in the game.

Least Favorite: Reaver. 'evil' specialization that isn't very. Nor is it particularly powerful for the fact that it kills you as you use it. And unlocking it gets reactions: No one reacts to actually BEING one, however.

**

Favorite Talent Tree: WEAPON AND SHIELD! Kudos to Bioware for FINALLY making Weapon and Shield into something that's tactically interesting and fun to watch instead of the same jejune boring crap in EVERY OTHER rpg. The attack tree, specifically, is great.

Least Favorite: 2hand. Slowwwww, boring to watch [except for the DEATHBLOWS] Pretty much any tree on it is lame.

What do you like and dislike about the Warrior?
Likes: I like tanking, so I'm biased there. Templar Spec is actually real fun to use as well, I especially like the passive ability to drain mana on hit.

Dislikes: Taunt. While it's a nice AoE taunt, by the time you get it off, and run up to the enemies that sneak off you, it's run it's course. Also the Reaver spec, never really liked it as a warrior class, seems more suited to a rogue in my opinion.

Is there anything that you feel that is underpowered or overpowered on the Warrior?

Underpowered: Taunting, Threaten doesn't really do much with a mage dpsing in your party tbh.
Overpowered: Having High health isn't so different compared to having low health on a warrior with the shield abilities. I rarely have to go above 24 Con to tank effectively, letting me pump Str. >_>

What are your favorite Warrior specializations? What are your least favorite?
Favorite: Templar

Least Favorite: Reaver

What are your favorite Warrior talent trees? What are your least favorite?
Favorite: S+B

Least Favorite: Archery (I really don't see the point in putting this as a warrior.)

What do you like and dislike about the Warrior?
I like that they are a heart of the party, that they can take a lot of hits and still dish out some good damage. I dislike that two of the trees are exactly like the rogue trees (DW and Archery)... I just feel that both of the trees should have more defining characteristics to the warrior (same can be said for rogues). As it is now, the only difference between the two is armor and lethality. One important thing is that I think warrior's should get a bonus for each point of constitution. Ala, other classes get 5 health with a point of constitution, but warriors get, oh let's say 8 health. This I feel would also help to define the class. Currently no one uses constitution, they all put points into Dexterity, because it gives better avoidance/defense, and therefore better survival. This also seems counter to the warrior position (see below) because when I envision a warrior, I imagine this big dude (or gal) heroically standing up to attackers, and taking hits, like some brawny thug, not nimbly dodging every attack like a circus performer.

Is there anything that you feel that is underpowered or overpowered on the Warrior?
2Hand speed seems a bit slow, even a slight boost in speed would go over very well with most people. Taunt also seems a bit lacking, maybe a bit more oomph. Threaten I would say is not good at all, and I rarely run it. One of the biggest problems is that heavy/massive armor is the defining characteristic of a warrior, it is what makes a warrior, well, a warrior. But because of stamina (even with the talent in the warrior tree) warriors find themselves using considerably less special attacks and sustainables. So sometimes it feels like the warrior's class defining attribute actually hinders it.

What are your favorite Warrior specializations? What are your least favorite?
Champion is absolute quality. The passive buffs really help the party, and I like how the later talent increases the earlier abilities by adding further  unique bonuses (i.e., not just improving a statistic, but actually adding a knockback). It is really a tree that comes together. Templar is also very well done, some people want more for that tree, but I like it how it is. Templar is truly a specialization in every sense, because you take it to use against casters. Berzerker can be good, although I think Final Blow should get a bonus to crit, as not many warriors will take willpower (or at least enough of it to matter) to really have a huge stamina pool, then that specialization would be very nice.  Reaver I am kind of iffy on. The taunt/threaten bonus and the heal is nice. Although the heal tends to not work all the time when used. Instead I propose it act like an aoe with limited range, where you can cast the circle over a specific area and the gain the health from a distance, with perhaps a slight cast time to compensate. The aoe damage ability from Reaver is lacking because of the health drain on the main character, which counteracts the fact that reaver is built for a tank character (heal and taunt/threaten bonus). Why would a tank want to take more damage while only dishing out a little?

What are your favorite Warrior talent trees? What are your least favorite?
My favorite is the duel-wileding tree, but I would like to see it be slightly different than the rogue one. 2handed tree would be nice if it was a bit faster. I have to say 2hand is fun with haste running, and frustrating when haste is not up, if that makes sense. The shield tree is actually pretty solid, except I like to complain about all the different shield buffs, but only allowing one to stay active. I think the lower tier ones (such as the one with only missile deflection) might be better as some form of attack, or different passive bonus. As it is right now, all the good solid protection/tanky stuff is high in the tree, so Alistair (my main tank) never gets the shield attack talents. He essentially becomes an autoattacker except when shield-bashing (which is one of my favorite abilities ever).

Hope that helps.
I really appreciate all these Dev feedback threads, it shows BW is really interested in what the customers have to say :wizard:

I always liked being the frontline and heavy-armor bearing fighter, so DA keeps me happy in this respect. But there are a few dislikes.

The first is that the Warrior only has two skill trees that are unique to them: 2-Hand and Sword and Shield. Top this off with the Warrior's already rather rigid development and compare it to a Mage's rather open-ended development and the difference is near staggering.

The second is including "taunt" and the creation of "fake threat", which puts the Warrior at the top of any enemy's list. I personally always saw tactics around this rather degenerative and cheap, and the more a game relies on them the more stale the gameplay becomes (see: WoW).

While Warriors are okay in regards to balance (sort of), the 2H tree could really use some work. Pointless abilities, slow damage, tough stat distribution...Just some of the major things that make it quite a daunting tree to playthrough with. It doesn't help that two of the three Warrior companions are 2H as well.

Never really liked the Warrior specializations, but the Reaver was pretty cool, at least in theory.

Warriors probably work as intended.

Still, I don't like how they can be replaced almost in their entirety by a mage, but thats more a flaw of mages than warriors. I also dislike how swords are the only weapons you have much reason to use.

Overpowered about them? Not much.

Underpowered? It's hard to create a warrior that both tanks and deals damage effectively.

Best Specialization: Berserker, or Champion. For their support abilities, most specializations active abilities suck. But Especially...

Worst Specialization: Templar, their anti-mage utility is basically non existent. Really, getting ordinary abilities seems to be of more help against mages(and everything else) than bothering to pursue the tree.

Favorite Tree: Shield, just in general, the defensive bonuses are nicer than what offense can provide, and a 1handed weapon is not significantly worse than a 2 hander.

Least Favorite Tree: 2nd Warrior branch. Too many active skills that you won't have the stamina to use, pale in comparison to the weapon branches actives.

Two hand weapons are far too slow, which is completely inaccurate. I would recommend dropping their damage slightly and compensating witha faster speed. The 2h abilities themselves are very good, reflecting the 2h ability to pummel the foe into goo.

It's a really fun class to use, just a few tweaks in specializations would be okay, it's annoying having to keep on clicking on berserker every time you encounter a battle. What I do like is the battle animations, war cries/sounds (makes me feel badass,) and my favorite spec's are champion and berserker.

As for the whole two-handed problem I haven't really notices anything though it'd be cool if some of the abilities were more better.

What do you like and dislike about the warrior?
I like the cinematic appeal of warriors (the deathblow or sync-kill animations for example) and I like the idea of wielding a massive two-hander to split the face of a mewling darkspawn in front of me while wearing heavy plate.

What I dislike about the warrior is that I seem to be the 'red-headed stepchild.' The uniqueness of the warrior has been utterly destroyed (in what could be quite possibly my own alarmist opinion) simply because of the mage specialisation 'Arcane Warrior.' Warriors do not seem to have such a freedom to choose between his skillsets such as a mage might because of a complete lack of synergies between the trees. For example, a mage can use lightning as effectively as Drain Life but a Warrior can not use something like flourish with a 2hander (even if the effect of the flourish would obviously be  different in some way).

Basically, as soon as you choose a weapon specialisation, you better be sure you'll continue with it throughout the game, because there are no real rewards elsewhere, if you get my meaning. I honestly like this idea in theory, but I disliked the execution of it.

Having said that, I do like the idea of having to make sure you properly time your skills to maximise the effectiveness of your damage. For example, timing Mighty Blow correctly to not cancel your in-progress auto-attack, but at the same time, it's quite fiddly, and in desperate battles it can be frustrating.

I would of liked some flexibility for warriors (and even rogues for that matter) to gain interesting effects like a mage can for its spell combinations.

I also feel that the concept of stamina (and the lack of stamina regeneration short of on gear) to be a massive achilles heel for the warrior class.

One major frustration I do have about the Warrior (and this is more tied into specialisations and talent trees) is why are there seemingly no benefits for using a two-hander other than to look more 'bad-ass' (although I will readily admit to it been very sufficiently bad-ass, but I'd like to be more 'effective.') A warrior drains mana at a slower rate while using a two hander than what he would be just auto-attacking with a sword + shield or even dual wielding. Why he doesn't drain mana at the same rate is what I find frustrating, because it could be increased in tune to his swing timer.

Is there anything that you feel that is either underpowered or overpowered on the Warrior?
Honestly, considering the generosity of choices available to mages (differing spell schools and no real trade-offs between choosing them) or even the interesting capabilities of rogues (stealth, its specialisation choices - read a pet, lock picking) , the warrior class in general feels underpowered.

To be specific though, I feel two-handed weapons are very weak especially in comparison to almost every other of its choices (not including Archery however to be honest, since I never have chosen it, it felt more like an option for rogues than warriors, and doesn't seem to be right for a 'front-line fighter'). The swing timer and damage from that swing is completely overshadowed by two weapon fighting and there doesn't seem to be any benefit to using a single two-hander (I admit, it's been a while since I last played my warrior, but I believe there was a bonus to defense talent in that part of the tree, but it doesn't seem noticeable).

What are your favourite Warrior specialisations? What are your least favourite?
The Templar specialisation is easily my favourite. The idea of destroying mages through your steel is strangely appealing to me, but other than Mental Fortress, doesn't seem to be very effective in game terms (other than Holy Smite which I used primarily to interrupt Emissaries casting Curse of Mortality on me). Righteous Strike's idea of draining mana seems to offer only miniscule mana drain although that could just be because I was using it with just a two-hander, and no abilities seem to be affected by swing speed. Holy Smite I feel suffered mainly because of it's long cooldown, miniscule damage and absurdly high stamina cost, although as an interrupt it could be handy (Before I got it, I honestly thought of Holy Smite as behaving more like a Paladin from WoW's Holy Shock, just without a healing component. I just thought of it as a ranged blast you could use of seemingly mystic power) and as a nice point of differentialism between the specialisations (making the Templar more of 'fire-against-fire' force in some cases.

My least favourite? The Reaver. The concept behind the Reaver however is fantastic. His agony aura however is, if possible, the worst in the game simply because it costs stamina (and warriors can't regenerate this like a mage can with Lyrium potions), inflicts paltry damage, does damage to himself. I'm also not a fan of his Death Aura type ability either, If possible, I would think it make more sense for him to leech health for himself via weapon strikes (to help offset the penalty of agony).

What are your favourite Talent trees? What are your least favourite?
In case you couldn't tell, my favourite is two handed (which is why I'm so critical of it) and my least favourite is possibly Archery. I do however think dual-wield is quite amazing as well (and certainly more effective than two-handed, but I'm stubborn I guess).

The good thing is that combat looks and sounds really good and the controls are great.

But there is room for improvement.

Two handed swords really do feel too sluggish. Mauls and axes feel about right but swords are just painful to use. The slow swing speed also makes runes more powerful on faster weapons, making two handers weaker in comparison. And the weapon models are too big and goofy at least to my liking.

Triggering a two handed talent should queue up instead of breaking your attack animation and cost you an attack. This nerfs too handed weapons needlessly as it is.

Two handed talents are too much about spamming sunders. I would separate the double strike sunders have into a low tier talent of its own. An additional AOE attack or two would not hurt the two handed tree, seems like those weapons should be the most suited for that kind of stuff. Also the shield tree should have one tier 4 AOE cleave attack.

I would also like some kind of a defensive fighting talent/mode available for all Warriors, just like Precise Striking. Dual wielders and two handed warriors should have some limited tanking options, at least on par with a dexterous rogue. Warriors feel forced to a very specific role by their choice of weapon style and that should be opened up a bit.

The ranged tree is my least favourite talent tree. Scattershot is just too unbelievable to digest.

Distributing attributes for your Warrior feels very much like min-maxing. Partly because they only need STR and DEX, partly because of the high requirements for talents and especially equipment. Even CON is pointless because of the abundant poultices / healing magic and the forgiving death rules. I would vastly prefer a diminishing returns attribute system that would make you choose between min-maxing and a more balanced spread. Such as attributes over 25 costing 2 points to increase etc.

I haven't played a warrior yet (just rogue and mage so far), but of course get a reasonable idea by managing Alistair and Sten.I agree with most that has been said already, particularly regarding the slowness of 2-handed strikes, the importance of dex for shield moves and the lack of area effects: perhaps a certain move (the sound a warrior makes if he/she beat their own magic shield with a magic weapon perhaps) could cause weaker enemies to be overcome with fear or something - I've also been reading that many players are using a dagger with a shield for the most effective results, and if so this must surely be an unintended consequence of the whole system.

I was also wondering about possible secondary effects of primary stats. In NWN, points put into stats also went towards improving saving throws (reflex, mental and physical). I understand that saving throws are not in this game, but it seems that this absence has made Constitution in particular rather useless. In NWN it firstly gave you a lot more HPs but also helped with physical resists (imo the most useful in that game). Perhaps Constitution could be adapted for DA by having it help resist poisons and freezing, by adding a lot to stamina and reducing the chance of injury, or does this open up a can of worms in relation to all the other stats?

EDIT: My bad, Constitution already adds to physical resists ../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png

I haven't played with a warrior main character yet, so these are just my experiences based on warrior party members:

What do you like and dislike about the Warrior?

I like their two unique fighting styles and that they get to have the most fun with equipment. Mage gear is fairly rare and Rogue stuff looks all the same, but Warriors get all kinds of diverse and cool looking stuff. I like their straightforwardness and having someone in the party who can comfortably go toe-to-toe with enemies instead of needing to run when engaged in melee by some hard to kill monster.

I dislike that they run out of stamina so quick and regain it so slowly. It means that in bigger fights I need to turn off tactics and hold back on using their abilities, so that I can be sure that a shield bash or taunt is ready when it is needed.

Is there anything that you feel that is underpowered or overpowered on the Warrior?

Nothing really overpowered, I think.

I feel that two handed fighting is weaker than the other melee styles, but it's good enough to take me through normal mode. It's slow and it eats stamina even more than the others. Archery seems pretty weak too, but that's more of a general problem and I didn't experiment too much with it anyway.

What are your favorite Warrior specializations? What are your least favorite?

I'm not a big fan of any of them, but I would rank them in this order:
 • Champion: I like this best because it's applicable to anyone and provides nice battlefield-wide bonuses without complicating how the character plays much.
 • Templar: I didn't use this much so far, but I don't usually like to specialise against a single type of enemy. Templars seem pretty good at what they do at least and there are plently of annoying mages, so maybe I should try it more.
 • Berserker: It's okay but nothing special. Too crazy for me. As other have mentioned, the delay to re-activate berserk at the start of every fight gets annoying.
 • Reaver: This one sucks. High risk for little reward and you have to be an ass to get it.

What are your favorite Warrior talent trees? What are your least favorite?

Well, I love the dual-wielding talents, but I experienced them from the perspective of a cunning-focused Rogue, so I'm not sure what it's like as a Warrior. Shield use it also pretty handy with its stuns, but it could stand a bit more variety and having the purpose of the various modes be a little clearer.

I really want to love two-handed fighting, but right now it's kind of full of useless talents.

Not sure about archery.

I've been playing a 2h dorf commoner warrior since I started the game. Still in the middle of my first run-through.

I have to say that it's been both frustrating and boring. I spend more time controlling NPCs than my Warden.

The one and only favorite ability I have is pummel. I love being able to knock someone down as an interrupt. It works well with the tree and the feel of 2h.

There is a paucity of stamina to do things with but honestly there's not much to do. Your big swings do a decent enough amount of damage when they connect, but they're so slow it doesn't matter. I'll often hit when the enemy has a sliver of health yet, or worse yet not hit at all because the wind-up takes longer than it does for my NPCs to kill an enemy.

All of the activate abilities other than pummel are boring iterations of the same thing. Swing harder; debuff and swing hard. That kind of thing. How very uncreative. Come on, go wild! You're competing with magi and rogues here for fun abilities in combat. Surely you could've come up with some interesting ideas? How about charging into the fray to close distance and interrupt all in one? How about more stuff like the Champion aoe knockback? How about a "Get over here!" ability that yanks enemies over to you? Warriors are BORING. It's like nobody could get past the idea of "Uhh, they... hit stuff."

I like passive abilities, I really do. And I like sustained abilities but let's be honest here... you're either going to want one or two abilities maintained all the time as "buffs", sacrificing your stamina for benefits... and mind you, they should be worth the ability to activate those extra WHAM abilities! ...or you're going to activate a sustained ability situationally. Such as cold weapons vs. demons on your mage. In which case it's the same trade-off but... well, situational. A warrior has a LUDICROUS amount of sustained and passive abilities. Couple those with the uninspired and similar on-use activated abilities and you get a very dull class.

Moreover, while a mage or rogue can make use of multiple talent trees at any given time situationally, a warrior is locked into whatever weapon specialization they chose. You can swap one weapon set, but even that gets needlessly complex. Unlike spells, the ability to hotkey abilities on a warrior is much more important for the heat of battle. (But honestly the hotkey bar just needs to be expanded, period).

And yes, there's no way to refresh stamina in combat.

Now, all of that ranting said... I have to admit that the warrior has some things going for it. They do get access to the best variety of armor and weaponry in the game, making them the most fun from a dress-up doll perspective. Similarly they have some really exciting finishing move animations.

And I must say, I love the Champion specialization. All the others are lackluster, but that one is very well-done.

I think that all special attacks needs a buff, they need to somehow scale better with level or str/dex to make them worth the stamina they cost. When I play as sword and shield or dual wielding I mostly use my stamina for sustainables and just autoattack, only ever using stamina for taunt, I would like to see the other abilities buffed to justify their use.

Two handed warriors abilities are somewhat better, I hardly ever used sunder weapon though, felt like it was a waste of stamina, but two handers badly need a better attack speed to keep up with all the other chars.

Specializations favourite is champion and berserker. Champion is fine as it is, the aoe knockdown works wonders. Berserker gives a good boost to damage, but the sustainable should have less cooldown or the option to leave it on at all times, final blow needs to deal way more damage to justify using your entire stamina pool on it. Reaver is the worst specialization, the talent granting extra damage the more hurt you are needs a serious buff, the damage right now is on par with berserker if you are almost dead it should be way more! Only the last Templar ability is worth something the other talents are worthless in combat.

MY favorite thing about the warrior, as lame as it may sound is the armor they wear. Honestly, every piece of armor other than heavy looks kinda bad and they all look alike. heavy armor is the only type of armor with unique look.

I dislike the fact that they are the only class whoactually get ''the cool stuff'', showsome love for rogues and mages too...

more to come

2H warrior dont have crowd-control ability untill very late in game. He should have at least 2-3 moves that works on nearby enemies.

First, let me say that I like the decision Bioware made to keep the character classes distinct. For example, only warriors get sword-and-board talents, only mages get spell talents, only rogues get lock-picking talents (I know there's a lot of debate about that one). It makes all of the classes unique.

So far, I've played a sword-and-board warrior and a 2H warrior. What's not to like? If you choose the right talents and specializations, they're great fun. I wasn't looking forward to the 2H warrior (my current character), but it's great when you spec it right. All good, not much bad.

In terms of balance, I think the class is pretty good. I wouldn't say the class is overpowered by any means and certainly can hold its own in battles.

My favourite warrior specialisation is champion, with templar a close second. Berserker I'm using at the moment for the first time and, though I don't use it much, it can be good fun. The only problem (for me) is that the Berserker talent keeps switching off rather than sustaining. The battle ends and the berserk rage does too. If it weren't for that, I would use berserker all the time. Reaver is my least favourite because the bad points seem to outweight the good.

My favourite talent tree has to be the sword-and-board line. Great fun! There enough variety to keep everyone happy and you can use the provided talents to build a really good tank. Or a DPSer. Or just about anything else you want.

I really like the warrior. However, I dislike that once you've commited to using a certain weapon and spent talent points, you're basically stuck with it for the whole game. I do like all the awesome gear that warriors get.

The warrior to me seems pretty reasonably powered, it can't match the destructive power of a mage but it can beat a rogue. Its very much a workhorse class, and can fill a large amount of roles.

My favorite specialisations are champion and berserker. I normally use these two together, but get berserker first because of the edge it gives you in combat. Champion I mostly get for roleplaying purposes and for superiority.

The best talent tree is dual wielding by a large measure. Sheerly for the sheer amount of damage you can guess out, it also wins on rule of cool alone. Weapon and shield is a close second, whilst it doesn't let you do as much damage as dual wielding its probably the one I use most often. I haven't played an archer yet and I'm not a fan of two weapon talents. I'd really like to see talent trees for using a single one handed weapon.

[*]What do you like and dislike about the Warrior?
[*]They have the best ratio for Health AND Stamina gain per level. You can make them in 4 different types (weapon styles) + some special builds; thats more than Rogues or Mages have. They are good tanks with good fighting capabilites and it is fun to watch them combine different battle talents, so fights dont look always like "Standard-Attacking".
[*]I dislike, that Mages and Rogues can also become tanks, even better ones then Warriors -besides Aggro-.
[*]But they also lack the kind of "versatility" like Mages and Rogues, who also can use different battle approaches (different kinds of spells, stealth/traps etc.).
[*]
[*]Is there anything that you feel that is underpowered or overpowered on the Warrior?
[*]I think that 2h-weapon style is NOT underpowered, but should have been a little more emphasiing on brute strength. Such as: - normal attacks should hit more then on enemy, or should be a little faster in swinging.
[*]Also Shield-Warriors are wasting some talents, because there are 3 Sustains, of which only ONE at a time can be used; and after a while you stick with only one of them. Thats a waste imo.
[*]
[*]What are your favorite Warrior specializations? What are your least favorite?
[*]I used in my first playthrough a 2h-Warrior with Berserker/Reaver. Berserk i stopped using, because the Rage-Sustain always deactivated and i hadnt the time/patience for everytime activating it; Reaver was such a waste!
[*]I play on Nightmare and you have to be careful when low on health, so there was no use for most talents, because
[*]you would loose to much health. The 4th tier Sustain was usable, but the bonus was weak for 60 Stamina.
[*]Champion is far more superior, because you get a AoE-Sustain +upgrade and a Crowd-Control + upgrade!
[*]Templar is sometimes useful, but i never used the possibilites; Dog was a much better Mage-Hunter than the i.e. Alistair!
[*]
[*]What are your favorite Warrior talent trees? What are your least favorite?
[*]- for Warrior the real options are almost only 2-handed or Sword-Shield, because Rogues are more effective with the other two. I really missed a one-weapon-style, but ok.

Likes:

Armor and weapons look great.

Dislikes:

The way warriors swing 2H swords considering they're probably not as heavy as an axe or a maul.

And while on that subject. Weapons classes aren't distinct enough from each other. I think it would be interesting to have talents that have different effects based on the type of weapon you're using.

One more thing about weapons. Starfang(2H and 1H) shouldn't be the ultimate weapon for a warrior. I'd like a greater variety of weapons. The weapon swap thing was a great idea but we need a reason to use it.

Overpowered:

Dual wielding.

Underpowered:

Sword and shield. My warriors tank well but I'd like to be able to tank better than my Arcane Warrior. Although I suppose that would mean changing the way an Arcane Warrior works.

Favorite Tree:

Anything but Reaver. Reaver warriors sacrifice way too much for what they get. I'd also like NPC's to react to my Reaver (same with Blood Mages). I suppose that extends to locking the Reaver class for Alistair, considering his disposition. But perhaps making it so that we have to persuade him into becoming a Reaver(unless you guys feel it wouldn't fit his character).

I enjoy the class very much, but just like the rogue, I feel limited in what I can do with my abilities based on the amount of stamina I have. I know I can increase my character's stamina but part of me wishes that the talents cost less and were proportionately weaker so that I could put together combinations without having to sit around and wait to regain stamina. Although attacks made through melee abilties don't tend to complement each other the way mage spells do anyway. Perhaps the warrior class would be more interesting if they did.

I like:

Awesome armor.

High survivability but not too low damage.

Being able to specialise in any weapon.

I don't like:

There are too many shield bashes and too little else for the shield talents.

If you wanted to max out a skill tree(all lines of skills in a cathegory) there was little room for anything else.  I never felt like a true master of weapons. As a warrior i would like to feel more like someone who masters most weapons.

Overpowered:

I never felt like something was overpowered.

Underpowered:

Two handed weapons. They should have faster swing speed or better accuracy. Also i find that they often do too little damage when they hit.

Favorite talent tree:

Shields. I like being durable and outlasting my opponents.

Favorite specialisation: I don't know yet. I haven't tried them all.

I like the traditional warrior the most, however I do dislike how "un-special" (=P) the class felt compared to the Rogue and Mage. It felt like the Warrior was the standard class and the others each had their own uniqueness to them. I'd personally like to see some cooler Warrior exclusive abilities. =)

My favourite specialisation would be Champion probably. It had some useful skills and I felt the idea of a Champion suited the Warrior much more than the other specs (except for maybe Berserker which it'd tie with).

My favourite tree would be the Dual Wielding trees; some nice passive skills and pretty looking animation. =)

First of all, I'll point out that I failed to like the weapon-and-shield build and the 2-handed build. In weapon-and-shield build, the number of strikes is not very frequent and when it strikes the damage is not enough. The 2-handed build is too slow and can be easily defeated by a 2-weapon build character. This is why, I went for the 2-weapon build.

My favorite warrior specializations are Champion and Berserker.

My favorite talents are those that are sustained, especially momentum. I sometimes used dual strike with it and the game felt Diablo like [genre wise].

I also loved the ones that needs activation for the 2-weapon build from the end tiers.

I just wish that the weapon-and-shield build had increased number of strikes as this is the build I wanted to play with in the first place.

To be honest, I like the warriors. The first character I made was a dwarf warrior, and it was fun to play.

The thing I don't like, is how many warriors there are around. For companions,.. you can have 2 mages,.. 2 rogues,.. and 4 warriors. (Counting Shale as a warr) This seems a bit much,.. if I want to take a mage, I get stuck with Morrigan, since I thoroughly dislike Wynne :P unless I make my own character a mage.

So ye, I'd love to make more warriors... but I don't do it because I don't want to have the same group of people around constantly. (This is after 4 full playthroughs ;) )
