A few questions come to mind what is the goal of the warrior? Tanking? DpS? Both?
It often seems like if I have a choice between 2 mages a rogue and a warrior or 2 rogues a mage and a warrior or 2 warriors a rogue and a mage i'll never go with the third option. While all 3 options have their perks, the primary perk of 2 warriors seem to be an additional person to absorb damage. But at the same time, unless that warrior has a shield out, he has no damage reduction talents and is relying only on his armor for protection.
It seems to me that the goal of a warrior in any scenario is to take damage. A rogue primarily differs from a warrior for example in that it should be behind the target avoiding damage. In this way, my primary complaint about the warrior is this:
- Damage style needs to fall in line more with the front line nature of the warrior, although each one shouldn't be a walking tank, this should be reserved for the shield class, I should have no worry about bouncing enemies between warriors instead of JUST my tank (would make disengage a much more viable talent as well).
- Make the threat levels between heavy armor and massive armor more dramatic. I should be able to have threaten up on all warriors in the field, and yet still have a way to cause the majority of enemies to congregate in front of my tank while still having 25-40% going towards my dps warriors. Not only does this improve warrior dps through talents, but also makes them a more viable 4th member option.
- If tanking abilities are not to be found in 2 of the 3 trees, damage output of those 2 trees need to be comparable in either utility or dps to bows or dw rogues (ie either a cc tree or a dps tree)
