I bought ME3 and was like "should get 2 to make better decisions".  Then I got ME2 and was like "should get 1 to make better decisions".

So I am going to buy ME1 soon and was wondering if I could import my choices from ME1 into my ME2 game... the one that's already been played on... I got 8 hours into ME2 so far and haven't even been pass the Omega 4 Relay.

Or will I have to completely start over entirely?

Also, will my paragon/renegade points carry over into ME2, and from there into ME3?  I am scared to look up spoilers.  I did not have enough to break up a fight and lost loyalty on ME2, really pissed me off.

You'll have to chose New Game and start over. You'll get bonus points to Paragon or Renegade when importing. I think extra cash and resources as well.

you need to start a new character with the import from me1, depending on the level of character you import will determine what level you start at as-well as the amount of resources an credits you begin with, depending on your paragon/renegade alignment also gives you a slight boast to there respective bars in me2 as well if i remember correctly, again this will carry over to me3 i think.

Also of note is the scaring issue in me2, if you heal it you cannot un heal it, if you decide not to heal it in med bay it carrys over to me3, which tbh i find good for the ole renegade characters

edit: in me1 you can easily spent between 60 - 70 hours completing everything and in me2 about 30 - 40 hours, so 8 hours aint that much to lose tbh m8, if your going to do a full trilogy run i wouldnt play anymore me2 an get stuck straight into me1 ;)

id also recommend bring down the sky dlc for me1, kasumi, lair of the shadow broker, overlord and arrival dlc for me2 and atleast extended cut for me3

Nah, no DLC's for me.

But thanks for the answers. I have gotten 19 hours into ME2, haven't been past the Omega 4 Relay, but I feel like I am close. I already have a full squad, and only one more loyalty mission to go before diving into the Omega 4 Relay.

I figure since I've already gotten this far, why not finish it while ME1 is downloading? Got nothing else better to do. Go ahead and beat ME2 since I am so close (besides, I lost loyalty of one squadmate and she's gonna die now), and when I finish ME1 will be up and ready to go.
