I don't speak any Finnish though
I can also drink like a Finn... (okay this one is doubtful)

When it comes to gaming ID, recognizability didn't honestly even cross my mind at the beginning and yes, I guess it is practical when it comes to other players from the same country. But, yeah, like I said, I guess it comes down to names being boring. Nothing more than that, really. smilie

I imagine you guys playing with russians would end in some pretty brutal stuff.

Well, I'm from Finland too, though my Origin ID wouldn't tell you that.
Anyway, I'm not that surprised that I haven't run into that many other Finnish players. If you don't look at leadersboards, it's hard to tell who is from where. Sure, some names are more obvious than others, but most aren't. Top of that, people hardly uses mics in PUG matches, so even that wouldn't help you.
Also, there are 4 different difficulties and still fairly large player base. So, chances of getting another player from, lets say specifically Finland, is not that likely. Even if you would know their ID.

Yeah, it's all true, no doubt about that. In reality it's just been coincidental, that I've been unlucky (or lucky, depending how you want to look at it), when I met so few whom are obviously Finnish. It just felt odd, since seriously I've seen one group, whom I've run into twice, but besides that no one. I have something like 500-600 pug games under my belt atm. When I was playing on Xbox, I recall seeing those obviously Finnish players all the time, that I didn't pay any attention towards it. Now It feels like I have better odds of running into a Siberian tiger on my backyard than a Finn in ME3 mp.
Btw, if you are the number one of the Finnish leaderboards, I think I played a match which you hosted some hours ago (gold, geth, Ghost Hazard)! Didn't figure you out as a Finn then, so that too kind of proves the point you are making.
