I have looked all over this site and could not find anything that was not years old, and none had any answers to the problem. I just did probably my 4th play through of ME1 trying to get the achievements i am missing. I went right out and got Liara first off, and as soon as i could get T'ali i did. i used them exclusively throughout the entire game, EVERY mission except the one to get wrex's family armour that was wrex and Liara, but at the end i did not get the Asari, or the Quarian Ally achievements. I did see this was an issue like 6 years ago, has this not been fixed? How could i go through the entire game with Liara and not get this achievement? I did see one post where a person recieved the Asari achievement before leaving the citadel for Virmire so i should have gotten this any advice on this? Thanks a bunch !!

Did you do the random side missions on the Citadel with them? Did you really complete all the UNC missions with them as well?
I can't recall if I got Liara's before Virmire or not. You do not have to get them by then, only Kaidan or Ash's need to be done by then and that isn't too hard since they are in your squad from the first mission.
Liara's is the hardest to get. But for any of these, you need to religiously have them in your squad to make sure you get it. After the achievement pops up, by all means switch characters. But all in all these achievements are not very forgiving, IMO.

My advice would be to get a mission list from the wikia page and then tick off the missions against the missions in your journal. You might find you are missing a few missions.
IIRC I got Tali and Liara right at or just after Virmire, and that was doing every single side mission. I was doing a second playthrough with Ash and Kaidan, and got their loyalty trophies about two missions before Virmire.

On my first playthrough I had Tali with me all the time, and did most of the side missions and UNC missions, and got the trophy for it roughly around the time where you meet Anderson in Flux on the Citadel near the end of the game, if that helps.
The trophy for Garrus unlocked around the same time, but I think it was the second time you meet Anderson instead. Mass Effect Wiki has a very helpful guide for getting the Ally achievements, from reading that it seems like no one knows what the exact requirements are though. It's probably a good idea to just keep Liara with you as much as possible and do every side mission, I think that's the best way of making sure you get the achievement.

I checked and yes i did every mission every Citadel mission side mission and UNC missions I used Liara every mission and as soon as I got T'ali i used her and Liara ONLY for the whole game.could it be a problem with my Xbox? I got frustrated and moved on to ME2 and now i seem to be having Issues here like there is no music in afterlife upper and lower but i hear it in the passageways outside also no music inside Eternity funny seeing people dancing when there is no music but with the issues not getting the achievements in ME1 and now this in ME 2 could it be an Xbox Issue? I have the MW3 edition of the 360 which is about a year old and have not had issues with it before this

I actually just went back for these achievements myself...I got Tali and Wrex achievements around the same time last night. basically right before I left the citadel for Ilos....I did every side mission minus the cerberus one you get in the beginning of the game because I simply forgot.
They are the most annoying achievements to get...it is basically 3 full complete play throughs. I am doing it again right now to get ashley and liara, oh yea...on Insanity too lol.
