The Asari on may be resisting still, but not in a organized, military fashion. You really think the already-strained asari military didn't evac anyone left?
Just because they can't chat with Tevos doesn't mean there's no organized resistance. And even if you think there's no military resistance on Thessia (which is nonsense -> Extended cut, Multiplayer, codex), it's not the only asari world.
Illium
Reaper forces met a surprising amount of resistance at Illium. Its leaders were paranoid about keeping their fortunes, and were influential in both Terminus and Citadel space. They acquired a large defense fleet and a high number of fission weapons, and in the brief space battle, used them on the Reaper fleet's troop transports rather their near-impervious capital ships. As a result, the inevitable ground invasion has been slowed to a crawl as the Reapers manufacture more troops. Cyone
This garden world's claim to military fame is that it was assaulted repeatedly during the Krogan Rebellions, but never occupied by more than token forces. The asari cut off the krogan supply line at the Citadel relay and drove the invaders out. Today, antimatter generators on the surface and in orbital stations provide fuel for military starships throughout asari space. The matriarchs defending the planet today have vowed to maintain Cyone's legacy -- they pledge it will fall to no enemy, organic or synthetic. Cyone, a fortified world under the protection of several asari matriarchs, has begun to supply fuel to Systems Alliance forces in the hope that an asari-human partnership might prevent the Reapers from seizing the planet. Alliance forces have since established several outposts in the system. The humans and asari have been joined by a small detachment of turians, drawn from the private militia of a corporate conglomerate that does business with Cyone. The three species are so determined to defend Cyone that integration issues have been negligible. The task force has already thrown back several Reaper attacks, although the commanders express concern that small Reaper forces could have slipped through despite their vigilance. Trategos
Trategos's colonists are fighting the Reapers in a guerrilla war, their best resource being submarine vehicles that can slip under the sea ice to mask their heat. Unfortunately, these have not proven good tools for taking back population centers from the Reapers, and for now the colonists will have to be satisfied with commando actions to harass their synthetic oppressors. Lusia
Though the asari have lost the "high ground" of space, the colony's webbed defense grid remains at least partially functional. Land, sea, and air forces are striking wherever they can, determined to resist until the end. Niacal
Aware that the Reapers' plan of attack is to bombard industrial cities and enslave population centers, Niacal's soldiers and civilians alike have retreated to the planet's impenetrable jungles. A terrestrial guerrilla war may not be enough to push the Reapers off the planet, but it has proven successful at immobilizing the enemy and forcing them to commit more resources here for little gain. Samara sends you a message if you have the datapad app...
I have been dispatched to an asari colony under siege. There is so much suffering here. I will do what I can. The Reapers have been driven back from this colony, for now. They are many, Shepard, but their forces can falter. I will enjoy fighting the Reapers. I tire of duties that test my resolve and not my courage. And again the codex entries for Eath/Thessia...
The Fall of Thessia
The assault on Thessia did not go as smoothly as the Reapers' strikes against other races. While other species met the Reapers head-on, the asari resorted to dangerous hit-and-run tactics to harass their attackers. By engaging in guerilla strategies--blast a Reaper ship, then jumping to FTL where they could not be tracked--the asari forced the Reapers to remain on the defensive. The Fall of Earth
The Reapers took Earth in a matter of hours. The Alliance knew the first wave would arrive from batarian space, but they were unprepared for the speed and scale of the attack. The Asari put up a lot more of a fight than the Alliance does.
