hey do hoard tech, they passed laws to make this kind of hoarding punishable as a war crime.  They are imperialistic, they are focused on expanding their own power through economic might and military alliance.  Calling the, incompetent has merits and me finding them annoying is an opinion.

How exactly are they incompetent?

. Rachni wars, Krogan rebellions, Thessia.

The Krogan were uplifted and successfully defeated the Rachni at the Council's behest.

The Asari kicked the Krogan off Lusia, the cause of the war. How were they incompetent?

What about Thessia? Every other world that was attacked by Reapers fell too.

. The point is they can't win a war to save their life.  The Rachni would have beaten them and the Krogan would have to, if not for other species coming to save the day.  The Asari also didnt kick the Krogan off Lusia.  They surrounded them and cut them off from supplies and then the Krogan surrendered.  The description does not mention them actually fighting the Krogan.

And Thessia was lost in a matter of hours, despite all the time in the world to prepare.  Right afterwards we hear how Thessia has gone completely dark.  We can then go talk to Anderson, on Earth.  Obviously one of those two is doing a lot better than the other.

Nobody but the krogan could effectively fight the rachni.

The Salarians and turians decided to unless a disease which allows only 1000th of a child to be born.

It's the f*cking reapers for hell's sake, and Earth got it worse, same as Palaven.

The Asari have won every war they've been involved in. Mostly by having allies, but, hey, that's sensible.

Yeah, the Destiny ascension sucks.

The only time we see it is when it gets overwhelmed by a few Geth ships and the Alliance has to come and save it's ass.

Plus their shipyards have no idea that hull lentgh is proportinal to main weapon power.

It's worth 70 war assets, while whole alliance fleets are worth 90

That does bug me a bit.  But maybe they were going for a powerful broadside or something.

The only race that could have beaten the Rachni were the Krogan, any other race wouldn't have fared any better than the Asari. Even the Turians failed to defeat the Krogan conventionally, the Genophage was the only way to stop them.
For Lusia, it doesn't matter how they did it. The Asari kept the Krogan from capturing Lusia, either with ground force or with their ships blockading them.

False. Earth was the one who was lost within hours. The Asari did better against the Reapers than either the Humans or Batarians did.

. The genophage was deployed after the Krogan were beaten it was making sure they couldn't recover.  Mordin points this out.

The Rachni could only be beaten by the Krogan?  Really?  That's just an excuse for them being poor soldiers.

Hello Anderson how are you doing on Earth?

Thessia fell rather quickly.  Earth is still fighting

Indeed and he fails to realize the Turians weren't around during the Rachni wars. The Turians didn't come around until the Krogan rebelllions. Both Earth and Palaven are still fighting, despite both being hit in the opening wave. Thessia was much later in the war with preperation, and fell like a sack of bricks.

The Krogan are the only species who were resilient enough to get past the hazardous enviroments where the Queens are.

There's no reason to believe that the Asari don't have at least one QEC on Thessia. They're refering to the fact that standard comms have gone off, just as every other planet destroyed by the Reapers has.

. Thessia fell rather quickly.  Earth is still fighting

Do you need me to quote the Codex?
Sure. People on Earth are still fighting. Just as there are people on Thessia who are still fighting as seen in the EC. Just because Shepard isn't being updated by the Asari military doesn't mean they aren't still fighting.

The Asari constitutes a major player in the galactic stage so I wouldn't sacrifice a council race to save them, maybe a non-council race as they wouldn't have as large of an impact in the economy and politics of a council race falling.

I'm not talking about taking the fight to the Rachni home worlds . The Asari and Salarians were losing their own colonies to them, worlds that were not inhospitable to their forces. Plus their fleets were losing to the Rachni.

"We lost CONTACT with Thessia, the planet has gone DARK"

Udina on Earth. "There is constant news, all of it bad"

The codex only says that the Asari were successful against the Reaoers at first. It then says how the Asari folded like a junk hand.

Already addressed this. I'm not going to repeat myself for you.

Earth didn't even do well at first. They just "folded like a junk hand" right out of the gate.

Earth faced the first known reaper attack in the Galaxy, they had very little warning and didn't know what to expect.

Yet Thessia, who had months to prepare and could have accessed thousands of reports from reaper battles, fell faster. If only the Asari had more commandoes and less stippers.

I hope you realize you recieve transmissons from resistance from earth, when thessia is never mentioned again. Not even by the bleeping asari councilor. Earth didn't so much collapse as the bulk of the fleet left for more defensible positions. There is still actual military units active on earth. There is still offworld comms. Neither of those are true for thessia.

So the fact that the Asari and Salarians could hold off an enemy who had far great numbers for 100 years makes them weak?

By "in contact" you mean Anderson. I highly doubt the Asari didn't have one single QEC on the entire planet.

We see them still fighting on Thessia in the Extended Cut, but it's true we don't know what kind of comm equipment they have.

Well seeing as how it isn't mentioned.... And the Asari councilor says "lost contact...has gone dark"....
