definitely worse on the ps3 version since now its free for PS+ members in europe, they obviously have no quams about leeching off the veteran players and/or dragging others newbs into the failure pit

I would actually go so far as to say ME3 being a free game for PS+ memebers is the absolute worst thing that has happened to the PS3 version  other than the collector freeze ;)

Well, from my perspective it's either:

a) I got better, since I'm racking up tons of 200k+ scores
or
B) PUGs got so much worse and I'm not really doing anything better than before

PC Gold PUGs are crap, as a rule. It's routine to have two bad players, I just pray there's one person who can play other than me. It's really testing my limits, sometimes I just can't carry them to completion (sniper on Glacier, say, or bad luck, or *cough* making a mistake.) And it's also restricting what kits I feel comfortable playing.

I'm getting a lot more ruthless about not reviving people, too. If it's a dangerous revive I've got to let them bleed out, they're useless anyway, and if I go down permanently I know they can't complete a late wave.

I really wish they'd play Bronze and Silver first. I mean, I'm seeing more than one person, in a match, with an N7 under 120. I routinely see people with challenge ratings under 1k, or even 500. They have level 1 rare or UR guns, or they're using guns that are worthless to their build, they don't use equipment, and some of them don't even use gear.

/rant

Sometimes I don't mind, it can be a challenge to carry. But it's becoming too often.

By the time I decide to stop reviving people like that it's already too late.

My next to last Gold game I played, I used four revives in one wave, right after another, because no one was coming to revive me.

I was a Juggernaut with shield mods and stuff on. One of my teammates was a EDI who was sniping at the extraction, not moving any further into the map.

You get some good ones, you get some bad ones. Usually you get meh ones. It's great when you run into someone that makes you feel like a noob but what I usually hope for is someone that will bust a rocket in a pinch.

LOL dude I felt like you carried me and I'm rather used to being the best player on the team.

I actually considered making a thread about it a few days ago, but assumed I'd be shot down by people saying "Just deal with it/ Who are you to dictate to others what they should do?". It's good to know others are in the same boat as me, and more specifically, on PS3 as well. It is really pi$$ing me off right now. They are ruining numerous games for me.

Thanks for making me feel better guys!

Maybe we should all move to Bronze so we get 5 minute long Bronze games.

Of course. Running into someone that makes you go why isn't there anything left for me to kill is quite the treat. I'd have been crazy to not send a friend request :P

I've noticed over the past few weeks that just about every game I join, most of the players don't do anything. They join a game with either an underleved character for that difficulty ( mostly Gold characters who are below 15 ), or don't have equiptment on. In-game, if it's neither of those, the person is completely uncooperative or just doesn't revive themself or bleeds out.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has noticed this.

Nope. You aren't alone, it has gotten much much "worse" in PUG lobbies.

Eh if you weren't that good of a player it'd be annoying. I get frustraded sometimes when I turn a corner and everything's already dead. Krogan sad!

I read in another thread awhile ago, you can make a game out of it. Pick the worst one out of the bunch and "copy" thier setup. Pick the same class, the same equipments and weapons...granted your weapon will likely be a higher lvl than thiers, but still... and when you quadruple thier score you can laugh to yourself at how bad they were

PUG minions are of poor quality indeed, that said I've found that running around with a Talon to be a very good idea, trying not to nuking everything and make it a 15min game at the risk of Trolling every1 is becoming harder and harder to resist

They're bots deployed by bioware to make the game look more active than it is.

Playing on PC here and I noticed a huge increase in players going to gold when they're just not ready. They'll bring in one maybe 2 medi gel with no rockets. If they're decent, they know to stay in cover, but more often than not they get up, revived and drop right back down about 10 meters away because they don't stay under cover.

I still do find decent games though on U/U/G. Just have to be a lot more picky about which ones I ready up for now though.

Character
Spamming Mines non-stop and destroying everything cause those PUGs are depleting my Gels and Thermal Packs are more plentiful than Gels

As noted good players play with friends, I stopped pugging for the most part a week ago. It's funny though when the team needs a 4th and friends are in games and we open it up to a pug, the players I have been getting for gold and platinum are pretty damn good, low N7 and CP's, often no mic but when I ask them to equip they always do, if I suggest a different mod for their weapon that may be worth trying, all of a sudden they have a mic. In game no issues at all. I never though I would take a pug player into Platinum but I have been the past few days and it's been very positive.

Been playing a lot of silver lately, (don't go into gold because i have no medigels) and for the past 2 days i have had to carry every single team. I seen a lot of people who see that we succeeded and they performed very bad (under 20 or 10k) points and instead of getting a hint they roll with the same equips and weapons. Then there are those who don't do any objectives, those who don't revive and those who go rambo only to get shot down, those who don't use any missiles etc.

To be honest, I don't know. I've always noticed PUGs with at least one noob player leaching off veterans - this is nothing new.

When I first started out on gold, this would've been a worry. I've spent enough time ranting about the issue; now it's come to the point where I'm confident to carry a gold match. If people don't pull their weight - it's their problem and whether they can sleep with their consciences at night.

What I will say, however, is please, please, please use equipment on Platinum.

Leechers dying within the first ten seconds of every wave is getting more common, but you have to think that it must be boring for them. Don't they have anything better to do with their lives? Apparently not. If anything, pity them.
