Heck, even some of the silver games I've been doing the past couple days have been bad.

I've been trying to make the move into gold lately but the last few times I've tried it's failed around wave 8 or 9. I can't tell if it's me being bad or if it's other people. I usually run my FQI with black widow in gold matches, as that's the kit I'm most familiar and best with. Black widow is only @ 1 (because RNG hates me, I guess), but I never go into a gold game without at least level 3 consumables and such. Score-wise I'm rarely ever last (generally 2nd or 3rd, sometimes 1st) and I get on objectives, etc. I'm also generally good at staying alive (granted that's pretty easy with an infiltrator). Just can't really tell if it's me or others.

If you PS3 players haven't joined the ME3 MP chat rooms, you should (PS3 Alliance Hazard Force). Bunch of really good & serious players. Going into gold with a group of these folks is often like my early bronze matches! I go here for gold players and PUG silver. The silver matches are much worse & cost me more gels and rockets!
http://social.bioware.com/group/7929/
How do these types of groups work? When I want to play I want to play, not go on the pc to try and coordinate times, deal with invites on the ps3, etc. That seems like it would be as much or more of a hassle as dealing with bad pugs. Then again I don't really want to play with folks who spend every waking moment playing and all have maxed manifests either.

I've learned that N7 and challenge scores don't mean anything next to skill as I've seen some high scores that can't do anything and some low scores that are really decent.

That's what I've been thinking too, Praxus. I'm in England but have picked up some US friends through PUGs. Due to time difference, I seem to be leaving as they come on-line on many days. I'm stuck with the PUGs the rest of the time. I want a challenge, but not this ridiculous mess that happens on a daily basis atm.
The responses show that we have absolute agreement on the original subject matter for us PS3 users. Everybody who mentioned PS3 acknowledges how bad it has become. PC and Xbox seem to have differing opinions, so it may just be our platform.

Not clear what your question is. You play on PS3? You ask in the forum in the link to join then you get a PS3 friend request from a moderator. Then, on the PS3 you open the chat room. Inside of ME3 MP you will get invites every so often to join. You can press the PS button to go back and forth between game and chat room to see chats.Praxus07 wrote...

Generally I pug silver, checking into chat every so often to see if new gold games are starting up, then I accept the invite. You can also create games and invite the chat room. Lately I've seen around 9 to 16 players in the chat room at a time.

I've noticed over the past few weeks that just about every game I join, most of the players don't do anything. They join a game with either an underleved character for that difficulty ( mostly Gold characters who are below 15 ), or don't have equiptment on. In-game, if it's neither of those, the person is completely uncooperative or just doesn't revive themself or bleeds out.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has noticed this.
ME losing popularity, plus every single time a new game is out, people rush to play them.
good example was.. the STARCRAFT II expansion.
and BIOSHOCK INFINITE.

Actually expended a thermal clip pack.
I have seen some people w/low n7 scores and challenge points. (Like a lvl 2 human female soldier w/n7 score ot 2 and no challenge points completed.) Those I will give some slack and try to give tips over the mike.
OTOH, I've had some frustration everytime I run into Collectors regardless of level. People just don't know how to deal with Scions and bunch up while trying to kill the Scions.
Or shoot Abominations at point-blank range.

It's sad and pathetic and rather sickening to have these losers peppering our already small playerbase
thankfully i don't have to play with them i can always go into AHF and find a good match, but i like to laugh at the scrubs, it's amuzing for a lil bit, before it becomes annoying
edit: oh and lets not forget the few lobbies that are decent have enemy set to unknown and you end up in a ps3 gold collectors match, which is a auto denial for me i refuse to play against them @ the cost of my console

Hope they enjoyed the show, they spent a lot of time dead. I'll rez someone most of the time, but if you keep dying surrounded by enemies in open areas...I'm not adding my corpse to the pile.
