First you cannot play as a dw for a warrior because all your talents are in the wrong place so you need to be at least level 7 to do anything useful.

And the big difference between a warrior and a rogue is my rogue can survive without problems, it is not all about high hit rate.

I am not forcing anyone to play differently, just making a point that there are more ways for people to try out and not worry too much about numbers because numbers will not help you when you find yourself in trouble in the game.

Ok. I did not wanna post but when you claim a warrior can't be played as a dw... You need to stop giving out this kind of information. You ARE NOT forcing ppl to play your style but you are ADVISING them to. I mean come on... you are advising ppl to play a rogue as a warrior and next a warrior should not dw? What gives?

If all you're doing is using Dual Striking, I think a dex Warrior is better in every way than a Rogue, but that's just me.

if one can survive the game easily with just base WIL on nightmare, i think pumping WIL is just a waste.

What is meant by 'all your talents are in the wrong place' aren't you picking all the talents for your main character individually from the start? A dual wield warrior works just fine, max all the dual wield talents and go to town.

Sorry, was thinking about Alistair when setting up a dw warrior, i prefer a rogue for lock picking and other things a rogue can do.

Sometimes I think the devs and playtesters at Bioware have the same "I don't need numbers to evaluate the relative value of talents" attitude as fchopin.

Sometimes it leads to not so great results like willpower being useless (for everyone not just rogues).

But it also means we get the total overpowered awesome that is momentum.

Whenever somebody mentions that Momentum is an overpowered talent I get a feeling that it deserves nerfing. I hope not. Because it will break the DW Rogues combat ability.

I think if tanking were adjusted to require more than one talent point that guarantees every enemy in the area attacks the tank without any regard for total DPS output or positioning at all that momentum would be properly balanced against the more significant risk of having something rather large and mean swat a backstabbing rogue away like a fly.

Momentum is "overpowered" as compared to other rogue/dw/2h/archery talents. If you compare it to mage talents, it's just a good ability.

Sure. My point isn't that momentum should be nerfed. Rather it was that the developers probably didn't realize how powerful it was because they didn't run the numbers.

In an ideal world, momentum would be nerfed and other dw talents would be buffed to compensate.
In this world, as long as mages exist, I'm glad momentum is "overpowered."

Hmm imo, another reason why momentum seems overpowered is that the hype the dw warriors/rogues are generating. General consenus as of now is that, dw class are the best weapon dps monsters. And when discussing builds, momentum comes out very often. Indeed, other things like nature of runes, etc are strongly linked to atk speed and momentum comes into the picture again.

If it is to be decided that momentum is to be nerfed, so be it. Just find another exploit. Increases the longevity of the game anywayz and gives me a reason to do another few playthrus.
