Anyone else regret taking Diana Allers?

A report on a stealth ship doesn't sound like a good idea

She doesn't get in the way, and she does exactly what she tells Shep she'd do. Sell the war, and that's exactly what we need.
I just wish they didn't put her room in the lower levels of the ship. I rarely go down there cept to tweak my gear. I think they could have put her on crew deck

I take her along. Why not? Free asset points, and some of the things she says I found sorta interesting. I really wanted to know how she made an elcor cry once

Ah, well, if we're going to discuss places we'd have preferred to put her ... I vote for "tie a rope to her and the hull of the Normandy and let her drag along behind."

That wasn't my reason. I listened for a moment while she harassed one of my crew and decided that b**** will never set foot on the Normandy.

THIS
I don't hate Allers...just neutral and she does say some interesting things as well...
(Asari respond better to human females, salarians respond better to higher pitched voices)
I mean, if it had been Emily Wong doing the same thing, I would feel the same way....

I didn't regret it, but I didn't care either. I forgot she was there for 90% of the game. Complete waste of space.
Pretty much this.

The only thing about Allers that bugs me is the way she's dressed. Totally unprofessional.

I figure either one of them would work, if they wanted a reported along. They're both established journalistic personalities, present in the first game in the series, with whom you can interact in different ways. They've even got the altruistic and human-centered motives to reflect different alignment choices, so picking one or the other could have consequences.Exile Isan wrote...
I think part of the reason people think Emily Wong would have been better for this role is that a deal you could have possibly brokered with her goes unfulfilled. Personally, I would have preferred Khalisah.
Chobot-bot is just...not.

Unfortunately she's voice acted horribly and rather than being the toughened war correspondent she's a bubblegum barbie variety.

No, only villains or cynical characters who kill people just for the hell of it. Jack got close first time I played through ME2, but even her I had no wish for to die.RogueBot wrote...

I didn't care much for her, but I'd never be so insane that I'd wish her dead.
Come on, she's not real. Haven't you ever wanted to see a fictional character fictionally die?

Killed on earth covering the Reaper attack in the early stages. Kind of a pointless way to throw her over, I think.Ang3l o Xn6 wrote...

After that I realised that Allers should have never been in the game cause she totally breaks immersion.

Emily Wong was an extremely minor quest-giver in ME1. al-Jilani is a running joke. If you're angry that they used Allers instead of an established reporter, realize that the Allers role was invented specifically for Jessica Chobot. They didn't have that role designed for Wong and then swap out at the last minute. Wong would not have been aboard the Normandy under any circumstances, because she's not worth the resources. Ultimately, Allers wasn't worth the resources either, but they were hoping it would grant some extra exposure and/or making a famous-ish Mass Effect fan a part of the game.

When I romanced Allers on my renegade Shep I alt tabbed to google pics of Jessica Chobot and finished myself off before returned back to the game.
It's the most realistic and fulfilling romance in the game if used in a combination with google pics.

She didn't bother me...I would have preferred Emily Wong or Khalisah Al-Jilani, though.
Didn't bother me either, though Khalisah could have been even more fun, least she has some spirit and knows how to bite
But really if they wanted her to be aboard the ship they should have done more... Perhaps have an event where she's sneaking around outside Liara's Cabin? Trying to investigate this great mystery! Perhaps interview the crew. Give her more character to justify her presense.

Oh you mean when one of your crewmembers tries to intimadate a member of the free press and an Alliance citizen into changing her editorial just because he gets butt-hurt by something she said?
