Nope. Right when you reach the Citadel the first time. One of the Normandy crew is sitting trying to collect his thoughts and she's standing there grilling him. He asks her to leave him alone and she only does because Shepard shows up. I don't want that b**** having access to any of my crew.

I loved Diana Allers' character and face palm every time I see ANOTHER thread whining about her.  It's really simple, if you hate her character just don't let her on the Normandy.  She ends up helping with the war effort by drumming up support via positive news stories on curing the Genophage, repelling the Cerberus coup and ending the Geth/Quarian war.  What exactly is the harm in that?  It's amazing the parts of ME3 that people find to obsesively whine about.  Tali's face photo fail, the lack of back story on new characters like James, and of course the Deus Ex-like endings among other things are what bothered me about ME3 but I can't understand the still constant outrage over Allers.  Anyway, I  Jessica Chobot.

 I really start to wonder  about  alot  of the  posters  themselves when i read some of the stuff  thats  in this thread and been on bsn in general lately regarding  personal attacks against characters and or their  actors. It actually seems to be getting more common lately .

When I learned I got her instead of Wong or Khalisa I stopped recruiting her. I don't mind a new character but you don't ignore an established character just to score positive ratings from a reviewing company. Bad form Bioware.

I didn't really hate her, but she just wasn't really money well spent. Was IGN really going to rip the game to shreds otherwise?

You mean Mark van der Loo right? He was the face of Shepard. Mark Meer only did the voice of Shepard.

And I wouldn't say Miranda looked less jarring than Diana Allers. To me, Miranda looks more like a female version of Michael Jackson than anything else. She doesn't look like the real Yvonne at all. Yvonne is much prettier than that ugly Miranda.

I sometimes think the majority of Allers hate is from raging Talimancers who have convinced themselves that Allers's character stole resources that would have gone into rendering Tali's face.

Personally, outside of the potentially shady professional ethics, it's not at all hard to have NOTHING to do with Allers if you don't want to.  You WILLINGLY have to torment yourself in this case.

I kind of give her a pass since its the middle of a war and everybody could die tomorrow

And of course if you've locked in you LI for the current PT she doesn't hit on you

not all that bothered ether way I just don't understand why she is in the game in the first place when there are already two established reporters. Why they didn't pick one of them? It would of been interesting to find out more about al-Jilani or Emily Wong.

From the moment  I first saw her doing her job on the citadel and chatting with her after words.

I  my opinion that the fact that she will sleep  with shep or wears a sexy dress does not have anything to  do with her "professionism"   BSN   seems so jugemental some alot of the time.

( for the record  no  I didn't sleep   with her  I was already  locked in with Ashley)

First off, that outfit isn't sexy; it's trampy.  And yes there is a difference.

Most journalists aren't professional then... given how many get on their knees for dictators whenever they get the opportunity.

The questions she asks during interviews -not just the actual questions but the throw-away ones that exit each scene,  those are all legitimate questions a good reporter should ask

The concern she shows about reporting on some of your darker missions

The fact she is still doing her job after her home gets Reaperfied

She's claims she has Alliance clearance and it shows that means something to her in what she tells Traynor she can't or won't report on 

Shes a bit of a narcissist but she's media, I'd hardly expect her NOT to be
A little in love with herself--besides, girly is good

I guess it all depends on personal taste. I do think Yvonne is pretty, though certainly not the prettiest woman in the world.
