I did... mainly because I jumped into gold quite early and had some very good luck.

spent zero here, just depends on if you play a lot of gold/plat and how much you play overall.

you could max by playing silver, but that would take you twice as long as playing gold or 4 to 5 times longer than if you only play plat.

plus it depends on how long each game takes you, some people play gold because platinum takes too long for them.
other people play platinum just as fast as gold, so it all depends on you and your team/friends.

I shouldn't have posted because my manifest is not full, but still I am surprised to see people spend real money on packs.

You'd have to spend thousands of real money to max all your manifest. Few players have that much spare cash to burn on a game! If you don't have a full manifest, get manifest stats here - GuyBlade does a great job estimating rl cost of filling up your manifest.

I guess it doesn't count because I bought a veteran pack when the game came out, but yeah I have a full manifest.

I had one pre-Reckoning. I could get it again by playing Plat only, but cbf any more.

The only real money i spent on Bioware Points, were to purchase the DLCs..

So yes, its doable.

I maxed mine without spending any real money. I have purchased 2 vet packs with real money however, due to the whole 'BioWare points' bullsh*t but that was after it was maxed. It is no longer maxed but I haven't spent any real money and don't plan to.

It might be more effective to ask how many people maxed their manifest payin mostly real money. Or even approximatly how much real money people spent.

I put 70 bucks into my xbox copy of the game. Mainly because I didn't really feel right taking the free dlc, since I haven't played the single player more than once, and the whole first day dlc crap sort of annoyed me. Especially since I really don't like Javik.

yeah. 6 months to max my manifest btw. The sooner you are able to play the higher difficulties with a good completion rate, the sooner you will max your's.
