It really shouldn't be all that hard to do it yourself. The one thing that stood out to me was a hot tub on the second floor. Water is heavy stuff, so you might want to sit on that.

My university has it's swimming pools on the second floor of the gym, so it's not a big deal really. If you have the budget.

very true.

The real problem is: the budget. Not just building it but maintaining it. The Electric Bill, the maintenance of keeping everything working (the hot tub alone be expensive)

What about the heating the fireplace is beautiful but getting firewood etc...oh and Alcohol isn't cheap if you want a nice Bar

The fireplaces looked fake to me, like modern day halogen ones that simulate fire.

If anyone manages to make a blueprint it would be awesome if you could link it in this thread.

Exactly! Just to have so that one day if I come to a point where I can afford it, I'll make it! Lol just a dream here. I would realistically built it in a skyscraper, prolly Chicago. I'm guessing contruction and cost= around 300-600 thousand dollars. But that's just a wild guesstimation

IA the stacked logs were as ornamental as that metal sculpture on the balcony.

I wish we had more control over the furniture. I wanted the cozy sofa in front the tv, the fancy leather one downstairs and the white leather upstairs. Why can't I have both chairs and an otterman?

Don't forget the view as well....you're not exactly staring out into nothingness....Anderson has a great view (Liara's apartment though has a better one...)

I think the only thing I would have changed about that design would have been to simply set it on the floor there, instead of sinking it, and added stairs to get into it.  Because somewhere on the first floor, there's a really low ceiling to accommodate the tub and the supports for the tub.

Sink it into the thirteenth floor of the building, so noone will notice.

lol, glad I'm not the only one who wants his apartment, if I ever get stinking rich I'm hiring people to build me a replica of his house, minus the futuristic equipment, only feature I'd change is to add a loft area that is based on Shepards Normandy cabin.

I'm still waiting for the plans for Donovan Hocks, that apartment was open plan and pretty much if I win lottery I'm hiring whoever did it in game to design my house :)

I imagine heating that thing would be a ****. A massive window and everything is wide open with high ceilings. This is coming from someone from Michigan though.

The difference between Donovan hocks and the apartment is that the apartment is more open and explorable so you can actually create accurate plans. But I agree entirely! SOMEONE GET ME A NAME FOR THE DESIGNER OF THE APARTMENT!! :D

Housing must be veerrry cheap where you live (comparatively)! That amount would only be enough for a small family home here, without furniture/ decoration.

It is a cool apartment though, it'd make a sick hotel suite too!

Actually in terms of the heating and A/C it might not be too bad as the ambient temperature of the Citadel wouldn't be all that extreme - certainly not Michigan. So you only be heating and cooling for a few degrees.

For me the first thing I thought was "Man this is a lot of Anderson - then again, he was a Councilor. . . ."

You probably don't have to worry about that since the entire citadel probably has an ambient temperature that probably only changes a few degree - no more than 3-5 celsius.

Throw in that you don't have to worry about building for the elements (no rain, no flooding, no wind, no snow) and you can cut down costs there

Now that I think about it...you wouldn't have much maintenance fees to worry about....

Any word on how long it would take someone to walk from Shep's swanky new pad to those overburdened refugee camps? Thanks in advance.

Remember, we're talking about real world scenarios, not "what ifs" on the citadel

I just finished the Citadel DLC and had the same idea. It would be cool to have an apartment like that maybe modified with less bed rooms.

I meant if you actually built the house IRL. I have no idea how bills would work on the citadel.

But then again, we're talking about real life here. Citadel costs don't matter because it doesn't exist.....yet ;)

I do love Hocks apartment the bed in middle of room is unusual but works in context, but not really all that explorable as mentioned above. But surprised no-one mentioned Liaras apartment from SB that was great design as well - looking back it almost feels like the stripped down version of Shepard's from Citadel. Comparing them it wouldn't feel out of place to have them in same building.

I'd totally download them if people made stuff like the Citadel and LoTSB apartments as custom content for the Sims 3...
