The one thing that really stood out about the apartment -- at least to me -- was that no doors were used anywhere.

Bathrooms? No doors. Bedrooms? No doors.

I think that'd make things very awkward, especially given the large party Shepard was holding.

There are sliding doors. You can see them embedded within the frames, and you can see electronic panels controlling them beside the doors. You can also see a sliding door close off the closet where you can modify your armory and weapons during the party.

One of the people who had posted previously on this page has told me that he is currently busy with a project nut on the side he is working to create the blueprints. When he sends it to me, with his permission, I'll see if I can post it on this forum for ALL to see!

One imagines the maintenance bills would be slightly cheaper than expected in the real world, because you wouldn't have your lights, fireplace, waterfall, and hot tub on 24/7.

I would love to see this. I doubt I'd ever be rich enough to make a house like that, but...

In particular, the upstairs/downstairs separation is really nice and open. I'd probably get rid of the hot tub, and expand the back room into one larger library and studio.

I'm curious as to who designed the Citadel apartment, because it is extremely well-done. Someone put a lot of time and effort into the details of that place, making it look like somewhere you'd really enjoy living in real life. I wonder if Bioware consulted architects and interior designers, or they simply have some art guys that are good at doing it on the side.

The apartment's layout is pretty awkward, to be honest. I'm sure when you become a millionaire you can hire a talented architect that will create a much better mansion for you.

My biggest problem is that the Bedrooms have no windows. I imagine they'd have a big window.

sims 3 mass effect...

EA/Bioware should just put out a Mass Effect expansion for the Sims.  I don't play the Sims myself but this would definitely get me to buy it.

So a few days ago I e-mailed zvekisha - one of the best Sims 3 house creators on YouTube (you can check the works here http://zvezdanzdravi...kismoderndesign or search for zvekisha on YouTube). Zveki is currently busy, but willing to start working on the house in June and asking for screenshots of the house. If anyone can please pass me the blueprint or screenshots of the apartment (since I only have ME3 on PS3 and it's kind of a hassle for me to get screenshots from PS3) that'll be very helpful. I will pass them to Zveki for reference.

 Hey everyone.

A while back I really wanted to see what the floor plan of the apt. would look like but couldn't find it anywhere.  I saw this thread and figured it was never going to happen and I would never see it.  I learned to use google sketchup to draw out plans for the poker table from the normandy/apartment, and so I figured I would try my hand at drawing the floor plan.  If you don't have sketchup, it is free, but I also included a plain image, but really you should grab the program.  This was all done using my eye for distances with the game running on my tv, so it is probably a little off, but I tried to get it close.  I also didn't include furnishings, its pretty barebones, sorry.  Better than nothing right? I also stuck that poker table in the game room, I'm actually pretty proud of that one.

Hope you all enjoy, sorry for necroposting.

Watch out Garrus and Zaeed might've rigged the Hot tub!

Not bad! If I was still in drafting class, I'd probably try to do a version in AutoCAD for a class project. As far as Bioware hiring an architect to do the floor plans, the whole of Mass Effect is an exercise in 3-D modeling. I think they did a fabulous job!

Ahhh.. I love this thread. I was also fond of Shepard's cabin and the apartment. Definitely taking some design inspiration from there one day.
