Me: "... you do realize you don't have to promote..."
PUG: "N7 is the only thing that matters! It's more important than the scoreboard!"
PUG: *goes on long rant about how it's the only way to really tell if someone is good*
PUG: "So anyway, what's your N7?"
Me: "180! "

Me: "Oh and in case you didn't realize, I'm doubling your score."
PUG: "I'm sorry, guys, but I'm unplugging my headset, I can't listen to this BS anymore."

I see a lone Turian go sprinting across the map.
Pug: "you get more points if you stay in there". He takes cover in the LZ and starts shooting.
He lasted all of about 15 seconds before he was swarmed by Brutes, meanwhile I'm LMAO the whole time.

Yeah, we're in the same boat here. I don't get why it's so surprising.

I  heard one player say "Why are we getting these noobs? No way I'm playing with an N7 180" while loading into a lobby. I got in with two kick votes and the other guy says "Wow! He's got a crap ton of challenge points, and a maxed CSMG and Talon. He must be good". Both kick votes were removed and I just left the lobby in disgust.

Me and my friend carrying a biotic pug match (jade, cerberus, gold). There was this one pug who was doing monologue during the match. Judging from things, it was probably one of his first gold matches. He was just so shocked by the amount of enemies...

It was a fun match.

I was once doing a silver game with two other players. I had to carry the other two players, but this was way back when the game had only been live for a short while, so I had a crappy loadout myself. We died in wave 10 after completing the objective and since I always want to look on the bright side of life, I said "well, at least we got paid." This guy who I had revived 10 times in the last couple of waves must have misunderstood and said "Stop complaining. You both suck."

Well, it is surprising. Because it's overall easier, or at least more overall OBVIOUS, that promoting is for respeccing your character. And it's a guess but most people do like to change up their specs a fair bit often, I know I waffle a lot about my builds and that's why my N7 is so high, I rather promote than spend a respec card (I also have a THING where I like to see a character get stronger? And gameplay with a character below level 20 is definitely different, pretty unique levelling a character so I enjoy that as well)

Pug2: Lol hm he uses Sniper Rifle Rail Amp  maybe he´s just shooting and using Grenades.

Wave 9 all Pugs got sync killd and I killd the last Banshee only with Sabotage:P

forgive me, but didnt the reason he give beforehand justify his complaint? Perhaps he didnt like it because it didn't follow?

LOL. I always wanted to ask U if U had problems with Your N7 rating. I remember that I usually received 1-2 kick votes in Gold lobbies, before I got a "save" N7>500 rating. All of this despite having a Harrier and lv 3-4 consumables.
