I generally avoid kicking (sometimes I just don't see why someone is being kicked) but I'd have kicked that guy as well.

Bad choice. In several bouts we had to carry a certain low-level guy with lvl 1 weapons and no consumables (sometimes not even gear) who believed it was a fantastic idea to participate in a Gold match, and all because the rest of the squad didn't feel like following my kick vote.

 

In Bronze/Silver it's pretty senseless to kick anybody. But it can become a real pain in the ass to go to a Gold bout with 3 or less players. There are some honorable exceptions (mostly Juggy's), but in general it's best to investigate someone's equipment a bit if they placed a kick vote on him.

 

Besides, unless you're confident enough to play Gold/Platinum with no consumables, it's kind of a disrespect to the rest of your squad not to equip anything, especially when all the rest do equip them.

So much this. Even if i'm 100% confident a game will be a breeze i at least throw level one consumables on. Just as a sign of good faith to everyone. If someone does put consumables on they gain a little confidence from me. Even if they have low n7/cp and terrible weapons i give them the benefit of the doubt, because i at least know they're gonna try.

Same here. I only votekick those low-levels who have no consumables equipped. But it'd feel kind of bad to kick one who has them, even if they are lvl 1...

Last night in a Platinum Match... A "kid" appears in the lobby with N7 Level 7 on his level 7 human .. something... and says "Guys, guuuuuuyssssss, beee my friiiieeeeennnnnnnnd! Please guys pleeaaaaaseeeee." he sounded maybe 8 or 9 years old.

I would have just said "you know, if you hadn't bled out you'd not be in this situation" ... then left the game to cause the mission to fail (assuming you weren't hosting).

Some dude last night playing the Juggy kept insisting on doing the objectives, the pizza deliveries to be specific, and would repeat on the mic (man, I got it, I got it, leave it alone!!!)  On Rio. Because "he's tanky". He did get to the first one, and it took him almost 2 minutes to get from the cage to the LZ. Thankfully the second time a vol clan beat him to it, and the little cannonball showed him how it's done. (I didn't volunteer, the Destroyer with Spitfire is not the best pizza delivery guy either).

I see no need to justify using the GPR, I use it regularly.

Many of the kick-a-thons I see are on Bronze and Silver (Gold and platinum it's usually me) and I look over the player to be kicked and I don't get it. Level 18 SI with lvl 2 consumables and Viper V (I forget the side arm) seems like they could be good to have.

I see your point about Gold and Platinum. Most of my Gold matches have been in progress when I arrive.

I'll have to try that as I haven't been a huge fan. I recall liking it in single player, though.

Yeah the GE + GPR does so well in even a Plat match that people kick vote me after scoring 240k The GE is an offensive god with triple overload and incidiary ammo and flame turret.. I had no idea people just hate the GE + GPR.....

Off topic: I think my Shadow actually survived a Phantom's synch kill move. I saw a downed team mate, went to revive her (Cabal) and was hit by the phantom animation, but only lost all my barrier and half my health.

Some things can apparently negate this sync kill.  I believe using an ops pack at just the right time will let you live on after getting sworded.

The last interesting thing I heard was a conversation about racial profiling. Other games have been with French and German players so I had no idea what those guys were talking about.

This worked amazingly for me, thank you. I think I can get used to it. Normally I mostly use Saber on it but the combo everything approach is really tickling my fancy.
