Hosting a pug and get a long distance pizza run .

 

So a player picks it up and starts walking and the enemies are closing in and he drops it and goes for cover. I grab it and do a run to other side . Second pizza almost as bad . Same pug grabs pizza and starts walking then I hear another pug start yelling "Drop the Pizza , drop the f###king pizza ! He is determined to do it . Fair enough

 

Half way there and few minutes later and I have spent most of my missiles trying to protect him . He is getting hammered by Atlas then he gets synch killed by a Phantom.

Then I hear " told you to drop the pizza you "fing idiot . Never heard a woman speak like that in MP

On pc, people just don't speak. Like ever. The last pug I was in, all 3 squad mates had mics, nobody said ****.

 

Did bump into a couple guys talking on the mic on PS3 yesterday. But, they had no business in Gold. We got Condor/Geth and they were talking about which place would be better for camping, the top of the hill or the "duckblind." Wave 7 wipe. Ugh.

Hey, don't knock hill camping. Easiest Gold match I ever had on Condor involved camping there against Collectors with 3 other range/power classes. 2 to each side, with the occasionally triple-up if one side was getting swamped. No mics, we were just freakishly coordinated somehow.  If your team is coordinated enough, and everyone can do ranged, then it's actually a very workable strategy.

Hey, don't knock hill camping. Easiest Gold match I ever had on Condor involved camping there against Collectors with 3 other range/power classes. 2 to each side, with the occasionally triple-up if one side was getting swamped. No mics, we were just freakishly coordinated somehow.  If your team is coordinated enough, and everyone can do ranged, then it's actually a very workable strategy.

By the same token, if your team is that well coordinated, you don't need to be camping in the first place.

There's nothing wrong with camping, mind you, but a well-coordinated team will be more successful running around and killing sheit than they would be if they just held one part of the map.

Lots of good ones from the last couple of games

 

- "Hey Hurriedthrone blink twice if you can hear me" - this was in the middle of the game, I've no idea what he expected me to do, so I just started meleeing and shooting him.  

- "I'm gonna explode so much" - referring to cryo explosions from snap freeze 

- "I'm so fast, dude lets race, start here on this brown line" - he was an AIU with adrenaline mod 3 

- "I don't know how to use guns"

- "I can't aim with anything other than the Piranha"

- "He's really good with the CSR, unless he's using the Geth Infiltrator, then I'm not impressed." - I was

- "Hey Matt lets go fishing tomorrow."

 

and finally just as we were extracting

 

- "This is supposed to be London right?"

- "Yeah"

- "Where's the Eiffel Tower and stuff?"

 

Cool thing was that they were actually pretty good, we even did a sub 20 game.

I was always told that it meant different things depending on how it was used. All of them insults, mind you, but the severity/harshness was determined by the context.

One of the ones I read was a "singular pubic hair", also punk, creep, jerk, etc. It wouldn't be the first time I landed in a PUG with players who don't seem to realise that their game was set to "public". If they wanted it for friends only, there is a setting for that. Oh well, some pendejos just need to learn to suck it up.

Said by a level 20 Krogan Warlord with 20k Challenge Points, wearing Piranah X and Incendiary Ammo IV in a BRONZE GHOST HAZARD GETH. My level 1 TSent went off hunting and doubled his score.

This was the same Krolord instructing the team to go stand in the rain for 2 minutes as soon as Wave 11 began. +1 Lone Survivor medal.

True, things like devices went just as well during that match.But it was somehow satisfying digging in and holding off all foes.

It wasn't something someone said in particular, just who said it. I left someone's game because the ravagers and brutes were invisible, so I sent a message to them telling them what happened and why I left. Just to be nice. Then they a message back, and i learned it was an older woman. She was very polite and said she understood, and that I did well considering. I sent her a message back, I dont remember exactly what I said. Just saying she did well too. Anyway she invited me to her party and it was her and her grandson. Apparently he got her an Xbox and me3 as a gift and she loved it. I got to talking to her and she was 63. It was just the sweetest thing ever, it made my day.

Basically, what FoP said. Also, these guys were pretty new and not all that coordinated to start. When we wiped, I was actually camping that damned L-pipe myself, trying to rush in cloaked for revives on the hills and keep the spawns near the initial LZ from swarming them. It's not really about not camping, more about being ready for Gold. But, I see that everyday.

Pug 1 (Phaeston X/Eagle II) :  "Let's all pick Asari characters and set it to Platinum.  All it takes is two good Biotic Explosions to kill a Banshee"

 

Pug 2  (Mattock IV/Predator II):  "Let's do Giant and Geth, because Geth don't have anything that can kill you really"

 

(I picked the TSent and got ready to leave the lobby.  The host ended up setting it to Gold)

 

Pug 3  (Particle Rifle X):  "Well, at least he has Warp"

 

Pug 3 also said he does Platinum "all the time" but he came in absolute last place.  I guess missile glitching counts as "doing Platinum".  I threw nothing but Warp balls for the first 4 waves, contributed to a total of 3 biotic explosions, then said screw it and used Overload the rest of the game.
