I think I know what happened here. They saw that loading screen, about equipping one fast-firing and one slow-firing weapon. Well, the Typhoon is fast, and the non-reload cancelled Claymore is slow. And immediately after, they saw that loading screen about modding your weapons to pierce cover, described as a "devastating effect". And so they decided to combine the two.

I got a really talkative PUG in my last two games. Does not happen often.
While waiting in the lobby (me, the talking PUG, two others without consumables (<A>, <B>)):
"You know it is considered rude to play gold and not have any consumables on. I'm talking to <A> and <B>." (Or something similar.)
<B> puts consumables on, <A> leaves. ==> "Thank you, <B>."
Another PUG (<C>) without consumables joins . . .
FB Hydra/Cerberus/Gold
Wave 1:
I die 
, <C> revives me, <C> dies, I revive <C>.
Short time later <C> dies again. ==> "Yeah, <C> thanks for playing."
Wave 3: Escort
<C> sticks to the drone as do I and the talking PUG, <B> stays in the same place and tries to kill stuff.
We are almost done ==> "<B>, you wanna help out or are you just playing by yourself? Screw the team --- is that the problem? I get it."
"<B>, you need to help with the objectives, don't be an a**hole!"
(Edit: <B> actually did the next Objective.)
Wave 5: Atlas on the roof . . . and the BS continues (unable to charge etc.).
Sadly there was no more talking to cheer me up. 
(Only a wave 8 Missile Killstreak with 8 enemies.)
After extraction without <B>: <B> and <C> leave.
AIU (<D>) with Venom Shotgun and Explosive Rounds joins.
"Are Explosive rounds any good on the Venom?"
<D>: <silence>
"It's a secret I guess." (Or something similar.)
He talked some more, but I can't remember what he said.
This PUG seemed to take the game quite seriously. Thanks to his talking the games were at least a bit more enjoyable. 
"So, this is my first time playing Mass Effect, and I'm great at CoD so I figured that Gold's a good place to start."
PUG with N7 1, level 1 Human Soldier with an Avenger I/Katana I. Talking in a squeaky voice too. He ended up quitting after wave 1, having died a few times and complaining about how the rest of us were kill-stealing.

ME: "yo, HALOHERO, you might want to put some gear on"
PUG: "I don't need NO gear!"
ME: "not even a permanent gear?, I'm not asking you to burn consumable.. anything, even medigel transmitter?"
PUG: "Like I said I don't need no gear"
ME: "go ahead and fire it up..." LOL!
Match begins and the non-gear needing HERO goes down in the first 15 seconds of the first wave!!!! 15 seconds! WTF!?! Nope, no gear required.
PUG: I have a reegar IX, but am not sure if it's a good gun. Stats say its accuracy is zero, so I assumed it's a terrible weapon and never bothered using it. What do you think?
Me: Ummm,... it's a good gun. Why don't you try it out for yourself and then judge?
*PUG equips reegar on asari adept*
During the game,
PUG: Holy fckn sh*t!! What the hell is happening? Is the gun supposed to do so much damage? This gun is ridiculous.
Me: Yup, that's what it is. Now, try not to get addicted to that gun too much.

Saw a legendary spitfire fury. The other pugs wanted to vote kick but I wanted to watch it in action. Eventually they left the lobby :/

Maybe this guy was searching for FB Hydra/Geth. In any case this is what we got.
And sure enough there soon was someone outside of the map.
I don't like camping much, but this is simply too much . . . I didn't feel like asking him (?) politely to get the f*ck away from there or leave . . . and somehow the evil inside me wanted to have some fun with this glitcher . . . 
The third simply left . . . so did the Demolisher.
Enough trolling for one day. Now I somehow feel bad.

Nah, don't feel bad. He was leeching. Leechers have to accept whatever comes their way.
You should only feel guilty for trolling when they weren't doing anything bad. Like that one time in Hazard Reactor. I dropped in a GiP without equipment, and didn't really feel like playing it through. But instead of leaving I waited until everyone was in the Wave 3 central hack... I think you can guess what happened next.
I left the game the moment after the deed was done, or I might have had some interesting things to post here. 
Laughed my ass off, but felt really guilty about it. Guess I'm just not cut out for the troll life.

tbh, I don't really use that spot unless I'm playing with friends and they're hanging out there too. Then again, the main reason I don't hang out there when I'm dropped on Hydra for a PUG match is because I can't get any kills there with everyone else running around the map.
But seriously, if that guy wanted to hang out there, he shouldn't have did it in a public match.

Idk why you feel bad for that. When I'm bored, I search Platinum with the intent of finding missile glitchers and then steal the pizza, or do the device and get off at the last second.
