I think there kinda is some truth to this. I've noticed once the shields are gone, they start running around like troopers and being a bit more aggressive.

I mean, it's no big deal, they're only basic mooks anyway, but I can see why someone might come to that conclusion.

Well, if I take your cup/box away, you'll also run around more nervously ... (Humour intended for those that knows a bit about muay thai/ that played cricket before)

Yes. I used to play cricket without one. Then I got hit by a cricket ball less than an inch from my most valuable assets.... I never played without one again.

 

For those of you that don't know, a cricket ball has a centre made of cement, and is basically a smaller, harder baseball, and a professional fast bowler will consistently bowl that thing at you at 110+km/hr (about 70mph). All you have to protect yourself? About 2 inch wide piece of wood, and a bit of plastic over your assets (both heads).

 

Anybody who has seen Australian Rugby knows Australians don't play soft sports, we break each other for fun. Cricket is no different, it's war with pretty rules to keep it civilized. I'm pretty sure the Brits came up with the rules to stop Australians killing them "for sport".

I had a pug using a mic yesterday starting with L1 equipment, char experience 16, having gear on entry. Saying "gg" at the end. Yep, Another good guy joining the squadron soon...

I actually had to dig for this thread...come on people...get on your stuff...

 

 Last match....just now....dropped into a GIP...Vancouver/Cerberus...these 2 guys were actually using mics...I know, right?   ...They were obviously friends in real life cuz they were talking about stuff that happened at work and how they were going to tell people how they were playing this game 2gether.....One said  " I am the best Krogan sniper there has ever been"...  <--- I saw he was a KroLord with a Widow....(that made me laugh)  the other guy said he was the best turian sniper..cuz all turians have sniper rifles..then tells the guy.."didn't you play the game,man..Garrus was a sniper"    ...BEST PART EVER:   Guy #2 tells Guy#1.." Nathan, when are you going to tell your wife we are together?..It's been 5 months..don't you think it's about time?"     <------- Left me speechless....absolutely speechless.......

Had a match on Vancouver with some noobs yesterday. No one had a mic (or so I thought) and though by wave 2 I'm well on the way to the Revive medals it wasn't excessively bad. Anyway, wave 3 Targets and this guy bleeds out on the other side of the map, again, and then all of a sudden he gets on his mic and says "You're all douchebags!" and promptly rage-quits.

 

Oh god, I lmao.  Wish I could've said to him "come back baby. You can sit in my backpack".

Anyway, wave 3 Targets and this guy bleeds out on the other side of the map, again, and then all of a sudden he gets on his mic and says "You're all douchebags!" and promptly rage-quits.

 

Oh god, I lmao.  Wish I could've said to him "come back baby. You can sit in my backpack".

Reminds me of a game I had about a week ago.

Gold/Cerberus/Hydra, was playing with the vanilla human engineer and I chose the power amp instead of the cyclonic mod so pretty low on health.

The other players were okay but they were all newbies so lots of deaths and a pretty tough match.

 

Wave eleven, 30 seconds before extraction, they get cornered pretty far away from the LZ, rushed by a hord of dragoons and

every one gets killed trying to revive the guy next to him.

I go in there, still 4 medigels, no more ops pack and 3 cobras.

I shoot one, try to revive one of them, get killed by an atlas , use a gel, shoot the atlas, revive him again.

By then dragoons have made their way back, I get killed again by god knows what, use another gel, look at

the time and it's only 13 sec before extraction, I shoot my last cobra wiping out as much ennemies as I can

then rush for the LZ.

Got there 3 sec before the deadline and finished Lone Survivor.

 

Now I've been assuming no one has a mic since no one answered me, but as the game ends, one of the guys

puts his mic on and says  " hey man, well done, you saved your ass and left all of us back there..."

Then as I'm about to explain that I tried my best and that's it's still better to have one teammate do the extraction

rather than having everybody die in vain, he leaves the lobby... oh well...

^^  Yeah I don't know if it was because he bled out and we didn't revive him for the fiftieth time, or if it was because no one else wanted to camp n the control room thing with him.

Most of the time I can't make out what PUGs are saying in those matches where they do speak. Their garbled speech is just like Nemeses and Phantoms.

Last night,

 

dropped in on wave 1 giant / reapers ...... a guy and a girl are talking .....  she says..." oh my god, how many more enemies are going to keep coming?"   ...he says.. " Well, we set it to gold, so I don't really know"  ....her reply..."what does that mean?"  ....as I am loading in....thinking, this is going to be fun.    They greet me at the LZ.....he says...." whats an incisor?"  ....she says..."oh, look...we have tali for a team mate."    ...wave 3 happens ....she says " oh no...not the g-damn banshees...I hate them...how many of them are there going to be?"       .................
