Some days I think I'm playing a different game than the rest of you

Often I read things like "Oh I'll go play Silver to relax", and I'll watch videos where people just breeze through Gold matches while chatting away talking about other things.

Last night I'm hosting a silver match against Geth on Hydra, and it is the wave 10 objective.  I'm carrying the pizza and trying to go a different route, because I just ran past a Prime to get to the objective.  Anyway, ended up trapped by two other Primes and a pile of Pyros and bombers.  I ended up using all of my gels and all of my rockets trying to get out of that corner.  We all bled out and failed the mission.

Afterwards I'm staring at the red screen thinking, "and this was a Silver match O.o"

Hydra has horrible objectives. Even a good team can struggle on this map.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention if you're going to play Hydra/Geth you're going to have a bad time.

Ah yes Hydra, our team was doing a Platinum there a couple of nights ago, went into wave 10 laughing, we had not used one comsumable, objective four location, the friggin second device right out in the open, in short we blew every rocket we had, tried kiting, everything we knew but nothing would work....game over

It happens sometimes. If you ever get stuck in an open area with a Prime nearby
it can be almost impossible to get away

I hate Geth and Hydra is the perfect stage for their cheap tactics. A good team will make it work though, so make some friends OP and you will see how the game becomes a little easier.

Exactly.
If you ever have to disable a device in the center of the map while playing versus Geth, it will hurt.
I still haven't recovered from it.

There are no 3 primes being present at the same time on Silver...

The device in the middle is the hardest in the game against Plat/Geth I was playing that once and we all burned through all our rockets and medigel. Thank god I was using an infiltrator because even though it wasn't duration specced we still finished the objective

Something just came to me as this can happen on Jade also which is my favorite map, we usually have one or two infi's, but we do not spec duration, in theory we could tag team a four location hack, if for example you start it cloaked, just before you uncloak if another came in cloaked to finish it off one should be able to get it done......it was Geth,,,,will give this a try sometime

Sometimes it's best to not kill anything on a device and have one teammate split off when all aggro is focused on the rest of the team. Easier to say than to do but four devices are a PITA anyways.

Then someone must have killed the one behind me and a new one spawned, because I waddled into two primes.

One prime was down in the pit, and the pizza was in the back corner next to the control room, down on the lower level.  I sprinted past the prime to pick it up, then started waddling up the ramp and past the control room to avoid the prime I had passed. I turned the corner and saw two primes and 3 pyros ahead of me.  I *should* have turned around right there, but I paniced and kept moving toward them.  I was killed right next to the door to the control room.  I tried to gel, ops pack, and rocket my way out of the spawn 5 times, but ended up face planted by a really happy bunch of dancing Geth who were just loving life at that moment.

That's true even for Gold.

Thinking about this, I'm pretty sure 3 bosses can spawn on a Silver map on Wave 10. I ran a second match afterward with a different PUG (everyone quit on me after the previous debacle, and I don't blame them). Final wave there were 3 Primes. I was helping the team take out two together on the back corridor, and left one in the pit for later.

Nope. 2 Atlases at a time for Cerbs, 2 Banshees for Reapers, 1 Prime for Geth, 2 Praetorians for Collectors. Same for Gold, with the exception of 2 Primes.

So even BW knows that primes are tougher than praetorians?

There are no circumstances under which more than two top-tier bosses of the same type will spawn at the same time.

However, one more can spawn at precisely the moment its predecessor is killed in roughly the same area, which can cause this confusion.

You can only see 3 Prmes at the same time if you play Platinum/Geth. Sorry, it's true.
