False. Geth/Silver Wave 10 has 1 Prime active at once with maximum of 2 in total. There are less Primes on Wave 10, than it's on Wave 9.Luyza wrote...

Nope. 2 Atlases at a time for Cerbs, 2 Banshees for Reapers, 1 Prime for Geth, 2 Praetorians for Collectors. Same for Gold, with the exception of 2 Primes.
Some days I think I'm playing a different game than the rest of you

On Platinum Geth is the easiest faction because their boss (Geth Prime) is the easiest boss to deal with.

Often I read things like "Oh I'll go play Silver to relax", and I'll watch videos where people just breeze through Gold matches while chatting away talking about other things.
Last night I'm hosting a silver match against Geth on Hydra, and it is the wave 10 objective. I'm carrying the pizza and trying to go a different route, because I just ran past a Prime to get to the objective. Anyway, ended up trapped by two other Primes and a pile of Pyros and bombers. I ended up using all of my gels and all of my rockets trying to get out of that corner. We all bled out and failed the mission.
Afterwards I'm staring at the red screen thinking, "and this was a Silver match O.o"
I can't breeze through Platinum, and Gold will depend if Ihave a good team or not, but if they're halfway decent the chatting a bit is fine.
Well first you chose Geth, the most frustrating enemy. Secondly if you're unlucky with objective placement on Hydra it can be a real pain in the arse. I tend to take a character with heavy long range fire. A Javelin/ BW GI/ Salarian etc. or a character which can take the stuns the geth can dish out and keep going either a Geth trooper flamethrower buuild or weapons build, TGI, vanilla soldier. Male Quarians work well very well with Arc grenades if you have the grenade capacity gear.
Oh yeah, and Pugs tend to suck, don't burn through your consumables if no one else is bothering to, same with equipment. They're being scrubs.

Some nights I am with friends and we aren't even paying attention to our gold matches much and just breezing through. Then other nights silver is some sort of twisted nightmare of frustration lol.

I know it's in Cyonan's spreadsheet, but I have never seen it and BioWare has a post (somewhere) explaining that top tier bosses spawn at a maximum of two active at once.
So either I'm incredibly lucky, or the spreadsheet is wrong =)
his spreadsheet has mistakes (like saying lolgoons don't show up on wave 11 Cerberus), but not wrong about triple Prime spawns
I don't begrudge you for not voluntarily playing Geth platinum
Guess what we're playing tomorrow night, buddy =)
We'll do it on Glacier with Armoured Compartments. No sense dragging out the suffering. My Kroguard is feeling neglected as of late =)

Now take picture 1, that is me playing Silver. Picture 2 is me playing Bronze.
Practice, man! When I first started I got my ass kicked on bronze. First time the search engine dumped me into a silver in progress it was WAAAY above my level. Same thing with gold. But practice makes perfect, and getting better kits and weapons helps a lot.
Now silver feels like bronze, and gold feels like silver.
Plat is still a PITA, because I'm a cheap bastard who mostly plays Geth on gold to avoid sync-kills.

I have beat a few plat games, I have soloed gold with a crutch class, I never use consumables on silver.. still sometimes a silver game will wipe. Generally if I'm carrying the team, nobody rockets or gels, etc. then I will reach a point where I am no longer having fun. At that point, if I go down, I will not gel. It's just not worth the credits to me. I have also had games where it was just me and one other person that were a breeze. Good teammates will make or break a match. Also tbh, I stayed on bronze long enough that bronze is 2x more stressful than silver--it stops being about killing enemies and becomes about beating teammates to spawns just for the chance to kill anything.
I have to say, that now that I've got some experience playing, when I'm that guy who looks like a total badass, killing the crap out of everything while reviving the newbs, it feels amazing.
And then there are those times when you keep dying for no good reason like a little b*tch and embarass yourself.

I hate Geth and Hydra is the perfect stage for their cheap tactics. A good team will make it work though, so make some friends OP and you will see how the game becomes a little easier.
I *despise* the Geth. Multiplayer Geth pains very nearly made me want to change my SP choices regarding the Geth.

Hydra can be a tough map since it is quite open, and when delivering, the slowness... and yeah, them spawns can really get you.

I did host two Silver matches that ended in full extractions, one was even the acid rain Benning one (I hate that rain). I was pretty liberal with the rockets though during the final waves when the bosses were out. I had one Pretorian chase me in a circle through the trailers twice, while I was trying to take it out using soft cover (another thing I'm *trying* to practice, when I get a rare chance).

On Silver, though, yeah, there should never be that many primes on wave 10. I think you may have had a host that ninja-switched it from Silver to Gold.

1. People are trying not to be dicks here because we understand that for newer players less familiar with the game mechanics, things won't be easy early on.DaveT wrote...

2. If you're struggling with a damned Silver match of any sort, Benning included, then you're in the same boat. For any decent player with decent experience, there's no situation in which extracting on Silver should be an issue (except maybe if you solo).

no question I have seen 3 primes in a gold match, at the same time

Cyonan's page mentions it, and I've seen it plenty of times in-game. I don't really want to spend a bunch of time sorting through videos, but it's absolutely a fact of the game.Hakumen wrote...

It's been noticed that the enemies have a fondness for the host. Also, the AI is frame rate dependant. So the higher the frame rate, the more aggressive they behave. The enemies in this game have massive defenses. If they were programmed to do a body wave attack, no one would get past wave one. It's cheap and stupid but there you have it, yet another tripple A title.
