@draygoth28: That drow standing next to your latest mount has a great outfit. Would you be willing to share? I understand the boots were from a Q model iirc, but I have yet to find them for download. I also like the skirt quite a bit

Shemsu-Heru: Great! One of the best ideas I have seen in a while for a drow`s bow. Keep the good work!

Excellent drow bow. I'm working on a few more drow and one specifically needs a wicked bow, so I think I might just release her without the bow and let folks use yours. Save me the trouble!
To answer a few questions since I've been gone:
My drow are going to be released with a replacing and non-replacing appearance 2da so you can choose. I figure some people will like to use them as replacements for the non-dynamic drow in the toolset, of course others might want them as additional drow.
They obviously don't match the OC drow in color or size, or in texture quality, so they WILL look odd if used together.
So I am up to 1 male drow warrior FULLY completed, two drow female rogues with some texture bugs, an 8-ft draegloth with a shadow bug, and a female drow in half-ish-plate in final texture stages. Plans continue for two robed male wizards, a spider-silk robe priestess, a cloth robe priestess, and two more male warriors, as well as a female archer. Whats that? 12ish total drow-stuffs to play with. If I get time, I'll whip some more spider egg together and birth some more. I really wanted a chitine, but I don't have time for animations right now.
Ok, so check out the picture entitled, "happy family" hehe. Only the male is complete. The females will get some more accessories before release. I have no intentions of doing a female draegloth

in this one, you can see I un-eye-ed Wes Studi's head and gave it some custom highlights and what not.

Just a warning on my drow: so far they are about 1600poly each and high texture. I got some work to do on the textures still as some of the models have two skins, each calling texture from a separate file. I'm experimenting to see what NWN can handle...answer is: not much.
The male causes a small hop in the game to load, and the females cause substantial lag at the moment. Unfortunately, the engine is apparently loading the skin and texture individually for every instance of the drow, so my drow at the moment are NOT very good for large encounters. I mean once it loads the hoard yes, but if you want lag-free single-player drow-carnage, then my drow are currently not for you!
Anyway, it seems like the texturing is taking the longest, and I haven't even worked in any shine on the females yet. They are just flat colors in the game, and look horrible so far.

I was thinking of making them have on-model weapons. Is that useful to anybody? If not, maybe I will just release a gmax file with a bunch of drow-style weapons somebody else can make and release later.
Edit:
Better yet, maybe I will include with the release an additional baseitem which is just for monster specific weapons. It could include all my drow custom weapons and make a great spot to put dynamic giant clubs, demon swords and what not. That way you can make the balor have a choice of weapons, like in infinity engine games, the units usually had two if not 3-4 weapons to select as BAM overlays. Even diablo 2 has 2-3 weapons for some units. I don't think I'll go as far as including feats and stuff for it, but it should do the trick with some custom editing.

Are any of these great Drow models over rides. I have one I have been working on, but I can make it a creature instead of an over ride if there will be an issue.

Maybe I shouldn't add these to the CC event. They are just compiled model parts, I didn't create any of them. I just thru them together.

@Draygoth28 - of course you should include them. Just because you made them from various body parts doesn't negate that. It's what you made them into that's important. Leaving them out would be like refusing to share a cake because it's got eggs in it (ie the majority of home made cakes have eggs in them).

ok, done with Drow. I will make them into new creatures, and package it all up when I get new textures from Baba yaga for lizard mounts.

@Draygoth, are your drow skins, or piecemeal still? Your colors and lightning are much better than mine, but I was going for med-poly med-texture in a way that would allow easy mod by users. I'm starting with Sims2 skins for my base and working up from there.
And hey, here is an update: I got 6 drow completed, working on a priestess now. She'll be done tomorrow. Still need to fix the shadow bug on the draegloth before release.
I call this one "Picnic in the Forest"

From left to right: Draegloth (8ft), Mercenary, Warrior, Stinger, and Rogue
This one shows off drow05: Archer and drow06: House Guard

Had some time to take a Spider and hit it with big bricks - NOT a real Spider I hasten to add - and came up with a sort of weird Drow Idol whatnot.
Two versions, one with emitters, one without. Basically, just your typical enormous stone Spider mounted between spiky things with weird votive dais thing underneath. Gives your Drow something new and different to worship.

(Sorry, AD, more Spiders!)

The amazing work you guys are making for this challenge motivated me to start a project in an underdark environment, with a few tileset improves and changes. Here are a few images:

I can`t hardly wait to use your drow stuff in this module!
Also, an idea: drow/underdark related inventory icons. Spider things, drow house pins, stranges mushrooms and these sort of stuff.

Kinda finished my drow priestess today. She's got a serious bug somewhere that only lets me play her for about 15 seconds before NWN crashes. She does look pretty good though.

I've reduced her poly count by about half now and still no go. I'll have to undo the skin and see if thats it or if its the bones.
