I think I'm going to format my laptop, now what do I have to backup to not lose anything? I've like only 2 unofficial mods installed from Nexus and some textures that I have put in the "Override" folder.
The thing with the texture I don't think is a problem... but the others? Like "New Hairstyles" or it was called "More Hairstyles" don't remember...

Oh yes, and the saves of my characters? Do I have to only backup the "characters" folder that is in C:\\Users\\Alfonso\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters

?

And there should be no problem you say?

Extra question: The same goes for Mass Effect?

What version of Windows?

In any event, this thread: http://social.biowar.../9/index/197026 has some good answers.

I just recently reformatted my PC, and all I kept was my Characters folder in the:

Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/ directory

Dropped it back in on the fresh install, and worked without a hitch

I don't use mods myself, so I can't say.

I'd say check on Nexus for info on that one.

For DA:O:  yes, I would do the same thing should I need to reinstall vista.  All your DLC files and character files are in your documents directory, so no problems should arise.

For ME:  no idea, I'd grab the folder in the documents directory obviously, but as for the DLCs, make sure you still have the installers and codes for them just in case.

Oh yeah I forgot that I left the registration codes in Santiago when I came to Viña, but still I should be able to play Dragon Age because of my account right?

I've got the steam version, so that's all I need, not sure if you need anything to reinstall from the CD version.

I would think there would be a way to retrieve your codes since you're registered and whatnot, but I have no clue. I haven't wiped since I installed DA:O.
