Synthesis is 'high level'.

Mac Walters said so himself.

All you destroyers are just incompetent boobs.

Pretty sure he meant "high level" as an explanation to why the Catalyst conversation was simplified instead of in-depth and elaborate, not a proclamation of superiority.

I know. Sarcasm. Love it.

I'm using the approach to this new drone that's been around a couple of days. "Synthesis is awesome since BW likes it most!" That is essentially his argument. I'm surprised more people haven't seen him.

Synthesis is mind bogglingly moronic but expected coming from the same people who gave us giant baby arnold, lazarus, derpcibleand clockwork oranged autist.

Don't forget the asari-cloning, mind-manipulating plant and a Mako-launching conduit from the first game.

Hearing about Gaider's choice effectively has zero impact on my overarching feelings on the matter.

You didn't seriously think this would end well, right? You basically invited all the usual fanatics to descend on this thread like furies - and see what happened. Actually being constructive is completely lost on some people, as I've learned here on BSN in the last year or so.

Apart from that, it doesn't really matter who chose what. That the endings are meant to appeal to different sorts of reasonable mindsets is completely clear, no matter how loud people are yelling that this choice or that is "evil".

What kind of constructive discussion should these lowly "fanatics" engage in as a response to a topic about an unassociated BioWare writer's choice?

Funny thing about this "let´s keep it at high level" was that there had to be one to begin with...

Why should I choose synthesis when it´s said that is inevitable now ? It´s like a pointless choice at all...

Everyones played around with shep dna. From miranda to liara to TIM. Even clone shep had a taste

I don't think Miranda changed Shepard's DNA, that sounds like it was against the orders. But what have TIM or Liara done in your opinion? TIM just gave the order and resources for Lazarus, Liara only salvaged the body.

learn comprehension and reading.  He didn't say "changed" he said "played with"...two COMPLETELY different things.

When Bill said "My DNA is not your toy..." he was clearly refering to modifications.

I don't care if the pope chooses synthesis or control. It's(They're) a terrible choice(s) and he should feel terrible for choosing it(them).

Why are people hating on David Gaider?

Destroy is my favorite ending as it is the only ending that truly guarantees that the galactic civilization will be safe from the Reapers for all time. That being said, I don't think there is anything wrong with people who choose Control or Synthesis. I fully support their right to end the Reaper War in a stalemate. Image IPB

Gaider's personal canon in no way affects your personal canon.

They're not.

The problem is:

* Who is this person and why should David Gaider matter to anyone but David Gaider?

* Can we just accept that every ending has shades of grey?

There's a difference between "shades of gray" and unquestionably morally repugnant that somehow becomes "ok" because Caprica 6 gives a cheery monologue and "no one dies."

Really? I've always said all three main high EMS endings are good endings - among other things, Destroy for its focus on technological/biological autonomy, Control for its focus on stability and Synthesis for its focuse on advancement/ascension. You won't hear me saying things like "ending X is evil and shouldn't be in the game". That was the sole province of a particularly self-righteous subset of the pro-Destroy/Refuse faction.

Apparently, being able to justify all three main endings is too tolerant for the majority of the BSN. Much easier to wallow in self-proclaimed moral superiority, right?

I suspect he was implying you're a fanatic for choosing Synthesis.

And I don't care who picks it, Synthesis is retarded and I question the state of mind of anyone who agrees with it.

Considering there was a "synthesis" path in DA:A, I´m getting more worried about DA:I.

Although it should come as no surprise that Mr Gaider picked such a nonsense, just remember how badly written DA2 is.

The hate, vitriol, bitterness, and anger levelled at Synthesis only make me empathise with it more. It's strange and not well understood, so it's met with a lot of xenophobia.

I fear to think how humanity will react when we meet aliens if xenophobia is that common. We're going to make ourselves such a threat to them that they'd likely realise it's best to do away with us because we're so violently inclined and hateful, and that our planet might serve the galactic community better as a shiny parking lot. I wouldn't blame them.

I'm genuinely starting to think that the reason some people hate Synthesis is because nohting dies in it and they need to see things die in order to feel centred.

Some of the people who chose Synthesis are no less fanatic in claiming Synthesis is the best ending. How many pro-Synthesis threads contain word 'genocide' when referring to Destroy? Every one that I've visited so far.

The only difference is that since Destroy is overwhelmingly the fan favorite, Destroy also has more fanatics.
