The difference for me is that I find Mass Effect to be enjoyable games.

I do not find Call of Duty to be so.

I firmly believe that nothing has a worse community then League of Legends, however.

And this is why I stick to Coop vs AI in LoL.

I used to do that, though truth be told I was mostly doing it just because my girlfriend wanted me to play the game with her.

As we aren't together anymore, I don't play the game anymore.

PC Master Race doesn't have this problem.

PC has this problem as well we're just fortunate enough that they're quarantined to mobas.

The thing abot COD is........................ when I have the Money saved up, I can GET WHAT I WANT IN THE STORE!!! I don`t have to pay my Money and take my chances. I know a claymore costs 5000 COD Dollars (or whatever it is called). So, played enough, high enough Level............. IT`S MINE!!!!!

Yep. Bioware could take a hint from them for the next store.

getout.

I think it's must be that mass effect brings fans together not vs each other and there are no small kids with mic on all the time only happen to me ones. :)

Maybe I am imagining things, but I think the relative age group of ME3 players is higher. As in usually starting around 18 and up. CoD is littered with kids whose irresponsible parents have bypassed the ratings system to buy their underage kids an M rated game.

I feel the same way, though I still play League of Legend, Solo Queue Main support. My care cup ran empty so long ago, I don't really mind anymore.

It's too bad every gun is the same.

Blame the 1 bar? Otherwise holy crap that's a score and a half right there.

Since no-one seems to have picked up on it, i just spent the whole match shooting RPGs into the ground

Starcraft 2 has a lovely community full of Master's league and nobody else...........

they also don't know what "fun" is. The first sign that their team isn't guarenteed to win and they leave, ensuring our loss, after complaining about how stupid we are for not insta-spawning 50 BC's and rushing the other team and something about the end times.

or maybe it's because I claim I'll brb at the start of every match due to nature calling and occasionally flying my base to the other side of the map before my scv's can collect a single unit.

I don´t play any other mp game except ME3,so I´m no expert, but it has nothing with games by itself.
It is typical internet war between two little nations, who lived together for too long,so just miss each other.

I play on PC and people hardly ever voice chat..There should be the ability to use console chat at least in lobby to address gear issues etc.The gaming community for me3 is pretty good..At least compared to an mmo like WoW which has nasty and immature forum members and the player base is just as bad.

Um.. one is a competitive game where players compete with players, and when a player feels the other team had an unfair advantage, they rage at each other.

The other is a cooperative game where players compete against the computer, and when a player feel s the other team had an unfair advantage, they rage on this forum.

The difference is that this forum has (had) a moderation team that kept the communication mostly free of profanity. Had it not been for them, there would be just as much angry venting here, but the language would have been more colorful.

That pic brings back memories. I liked MW2 and previous CoDs (of course the community was still trash but the games were fun). I played BO1 for a bit and quit the series.

MW2 was my favourite CoD on ecksbawks and I would get it on PC but it's $90 or something FFS. If steam has a sale for it though, I'll probably buy it because I'm a chump when it comes to things like that

Original MW was my fav. I liked the maps the best and the military modified Remington 700 was a beast (m40a3 I think it's called). MW2, I liked, but it was a definite step down in my opinion.

This was all on PS3 btw.

Got it for 40 dolla IRL. I regret every single cent. It reminds me of why I stopped playing it on ecks bawks.

Too bad PvP FPS games that I actually enjoy aren't that popular anymore. Australian CS:S is basically rolling tumbleweeds on any time other than peak hour, and even then it's basically Office/Dust2 24-7. I also really like Halo 3, but that's another entry into the dustbin of the ages. The CoD which makes me rage the least (I hesitate to say that I actually enjoyed it) was Black Ops - typical peak PC population is about 3000. Stopped playing after that though. imo it's become an overdesigned cluster**** that's basically rock-paper-scissors in shooter form.

I can understand why people liked BO, but I personally hated it (except playing against recruit bots). It was so slow paced and everyone had ghost+second chance on and was sitting in a corner with a motion sensor up their arse. MW3 made me rage heaps but that was when I was getting really good at CoD on XBox and took the game way more seriously. And halfway through it's life cycle I quit it and promised to never purchase the next CoD games. (I haven't bought BO2 but I tried it on the free weekend on steam though.)

I can't talk about CoD 4 though because I hardly ever played it but when I did it wasn't too bad. But I have no effin clue why MW2 is my favourite CoD with all it's BS and such. I guess it's because it's very fast paced which suits my playstyle and it's always fun to run around with the spas-12 and brokimbo UMPs P90s.

CoD 4 = grenade spam. Grenades in that game were about twice as powerful as other CoDs and there was very little opportunity cost for the Frag x3 perk.

That and all the hackers made it the perfect game that everyone talks about.

It's a night and day difference between the two communities. That's why I've said on here several times... I keep coming back to this game for the people. It's one of the best gaming communities there is.

+1

I'm kind of an older guy (late 30's) and I find most of the players I roll with are in their late 20's, 30's, 40's and even 50's.  Never expected to find a community like that on a game platform, it's pretty awesome actually.

And yeah the only thing worse than my skill livel in COD MP is the endless racist garbage you find there.

Exactly why I want ME to stay PvE (evolve there sure, no need to stick to horde mode) but not go PvP.

Exactly, pvp brings out the worst in people and I am guilty myself of raging down the microphone and having pointless arguments, ME3 saved me from COD.

The nature of the games is different too. Being straight up coop promotes a better community. People who care about the final standings are the minority in ME. Also it's harder to teabag.

Like the difference between Phil Simms and Jeff Hostetler's mustache :)
