I just started my first playthrough yesterday after I downloaded the update and all possible DLC. Unfortunately, I didn't find out about the problems with RtO until today. If I continue with my game anyway, will I be able to get specializations after a fix comes out?

Thats apparently what bioware is doing now - making it so no one will lose any more, and so that the specializations will be unlocked, or be unlockable again. Worst comes to worse, they could always just make another update that permenatly unlocks all specializations for everyone.
